Yamai is now the character with the biggest amount of Dynamic Intros in a single game, he has 4 different intros (one exclusive to the demo). He breaks the tie with Joon-Gi Han from Yakuza 6, who had 3.
SPOILER Fun Fact: Yamai is the first and only character (excluding the Majima Everywhere system) who has managed to catch up with Kuze in terms of "Most boss fights in a single game".
And also took the first place in the "most dynamic intros in a single game" category, even if only on a technicality (his fourth intro is exclusive to the demo).
@@DaMann707 wasn't ozaki fought 4 times? first after kengo, second with hamura, third in the fire, and finally with kengo again near the end? or am i missing one?
Are we counting Cane Man? He does fight you 5 times. Four of them are in the same long battle, but like, he has completely distinct boss-like movesets in all of them, it's not like that one goon Kuze has where he's just coming back over and over with the same mook moveset.
Appopriate title for this. It's perfect for your first battle with Yamai and his syndicate too. You're all crammed into Ei-chan's small apartment that barely has enough room to swing a cat around, and you don't have a lot of moves to utilise at this stage, so you're basically attacking head-on, slamming them into one another and smashing the furniture over their heads for an advantage: standing your ground and slugging it out, basically. Then Yamai gets involved and just hurls the body of one of his guys right across the room as an opening gambit. Alo like how Yamai's appearence and design makes him seem otherwordly. We're all in Hawaii and he still dresses head to toe in black and wears a wool overcoat, but he's always complaining about being cold. And him using a crowbar as a weapon makes him seem very Slasher-illain esque.
so taking in consideration this demo-only intro of yamai fighting ichi in akane's house and all of the dynamic intros present in the actual game, did they fr give my man yamai 4 (FOUR) dynamic intros??? i guess rgg does play favourites...

@@DanielFerreira-ez8qd Fun fact: the VA with the most roles in this series (Kuroda doesn't count because almost all of his roles are either Kiryu or a counterpart) is Unsho Ishizuka, who's voiced Tamashiro from Y3, Takenaka from the Kurohyou games, the guy that gives Kiryu an anti-materiel rifle at the end of Dead Souls and Yoshida Toyo from Ishin.
I love when, while trying to defend the Yamai syndicate, Ichiban crashes a fucking excavator through their HQ and are rightfully told "WTF man? We'll kick your ass!"

Literally
"DUMBASS! AINT YOU EVER HEARD OF KNOCKIN?"
I actually felt bad for interrupting the birthday party
Hope that guy still had a happy birthday. (I also hope that guy wasn’t one of the Yamai syndicate traitors)

With this song, Yamai and his syndicate made a very good impression in their first appearance. Undoubtedly in my TOP of best songs of this game
I felt like the endgame songs were much better, especially on Kiryu’s side of the story

Nah, Ozaki from Judgment is the first character who has managed to catch up with Kuze. Though I agree that Yamai is much more memorable.

swing a cat around?
@@RedaniaKnight-Elect It's a term for a room or some other place having very little space in it.
Late, but there's definitely more than enough room to swing a cat around, as we see Yamai literally throw a man across the room.
The way he moves is also really, really strange. He's stiff but very agile at the same time.

The riff here is very much sonic adventure esc specifically final egg and hot shelter
Exactly! I, too, am often thinking of Sonic when listening to this!
Big One Eyed Slugger energy here. Perfect for a crowbar to the face.
Im surprised we didn't fight Yamai when revisiting Akane's house like the demo
pretty sure the only reason we fight him there is because rgg wanted someone for us to fight
Demos aren’t always a cut piece from the finished game
I'm surprised it took us so long to unlock Kiryu's "real-time" special ability.
uuuuh I played the main game, not the demo and I distinctly remember fighting him there, am I just tripping
Playing the demo first, I always wondered how Yamai managed to get back up on the back porch with his coat on again so quickly after the fight xD
0:33 this part is sound like kiryu Yakuza style from like a Dragon Gaiden ost Name "Bring it On"

Yamai as so many Banger
