Idea for a mod... a grove of apple trees containing the memories of the past heros. When you eat from the tree you are taking to face challenges themed around each pasted Link.
Often these boss fight mods' only challenge is "enemy/boss, only a lot of health, does your patience or his health run out first???" but this was actually a very interesting fight where the arena, his pattern and ants made it unique from other Hinox fights in the game
To paraphrase Egoraptor, "Waiting is not the same thing as difficult. Waiting creates the illusion of difficulty, because it wastes your time. Holding a shield out is not difficult, but it feels like an ordeal."
@@zacheray No, but the way the environment, the bokoblins, and the patterns were utilized was quite unique. I also liked his special colour, beard, and crown. I fought it myself and it was a pretty fun fight. Also, the Hinox is blind and you are unable to stun him by hitting him in the eye. There's even a scar on his eyeball.

@@gochiefs206 yes, some Zelda games are like that (mostly the 2D games) but the games that are more meant to be these epic meaningful stories that show what Nintendo can truly do are usually intended to have a combat system where it’s more immersive and complex, every enemy having a way of cheesing them would make combat more of a chore (similar to games like Omori and Undertale where you don’t get much choice to fight then) as opposed to an enemy you have to learn the patterns of and counter it’s techniques. Ok end of rant, I’m high as a fucking kite rn lmaooo
Personally, I think that, if they did make a boss for the other Champions, the hinox would be more suited for Revali. Because you have to aim to shoot the eye and such

@@Soul_404. getting poked in the eye, blind or not, should still hurt as it still has nerves. If the hinox isn’t flinching when getting hit there, then there has to be more damage than just blindness, hence why i said he was blind with a dead eye. If the Eye is dead, the nerves in their are no longer firing, thus even poking it won’t cause a response.
This is incredible. I love how he isn’t a pushover like other Hinox, the way you can’t stun him easily, how his attacks differ. Everything about him is so worthy of being called a boss. You bring amazingly beautiful mods to BotW, with fantastic mechanics. Thank you for all you do with this game.
The Hinox King's design is so awesome and clever! Firing an arrow into his eye does nothing to stun him. Because if you look closely, you can see that he has what looks to be a sword slash scar in his eye already. Therefore its eye has already be damaged and messed up so it's no longer it's weak point (Can't damage what's already been destroyed). Having a Hinox that is unable to be stunned and slowed down makes it the strongest and well-deserving of being the King of its kind.
Disagree. First his eye is not destroyed (he still sees) but is damaged. That means that it is sensitive. It does not make it sense that he is not stunned by eye damage
I’m loving the level of detail you put into this modification. All of the weapons looks so realistic and all of the extra details like new items, the dungeon environment and even the Hinox King’s appearance looks so well made that someone might mistake it for the real game.
I had a dream about two years ago that because Zelda Team had fallen behind on BotW Sequel, they compensated by making a third Expansion Pass for BotW, called "King of the Lynels", where you do new trials similar to the ones from "The Champion's Ballad", but it ends with Link taking on a final trial, where he must face 4 Gold Lynels simultaneously while naked and without Ancient Arrows. Your prize for pulling this off: a mask/crown/necklace you can wear that tells Lynels you're an honorary member of their tribe, and they'll leave you alone when you're within the vicinity of them...

The enemies that spawned were a good idea but I wish a second wave spawned. And I wish the Hinox attacked more often when it got near death, or did a super move, maybe like his body slam but with extra shockwaves, fire and maybe even thunder. Or multiple hits of shockwaves, forcing you to work harder to dodge. That’d have been intense.
I like that since it’s eye has been scarred or he’s just completely blind, he’s used to the constant pain in his eye so even if you directly hit its pupil, he won’t stoo
This is incredible! Loved the location and the new Hinox King design, as well as the actual structure of the battle. Really cool to have a boss battle with underlings assisting in the fight against you, rather than just facing the boss by itself.

By far the most disturbing thing about that fight was the Hinox's tongue. Still, I really like this challenge. The Lynel one scares me (I'm really bad with those) and this was more my speed. I liked the Bokoblins high up on the walls -- I wouldn't have noticed them if you hadn't looked. It brings up an interesting point though. I noticed the overhang deliberately doesn't let you snipe....could you climb the walls or use Gale to get up to the 'blins lookout and snipe from there?

@@gwynethwells1268 fr just wrote an essay in response to a 7 word comment. It's also not insulting, it's how you beat Lynels. They have an attack pattern and tells of what attack they are going to use. Once you fight a type of Lynel once you should be able to have a good idea of its pattern, the only thing left is figuring out when to attack and when to dodge/parry. You don't need to dedicate a lot of time to it either.
you know what would make sense to me, is if this hinox actually didnt have the weak spot, since you could only assume that many had tried to kill it and with the knowledge of his eye being the weak spot the eye might be slashed or protected heavily, or something along those lines, maybe if he didnt even have an eye, but ended up surviving. might be the reason they call him king, making him have different attack systems based on audiotry input would be a new thing to try out. just an idea, i thought was cool .

I like how you get to this underground place with the supposed king of hynox's and all you get is a bunch of little regular hynox drops and you enter a room that basically just says do you want to leave? dont let the door hit you on the way out
Ok but the boss itself doesn't really do much... remember when hinox would throw bombs too? I don't know what kind of hell it would be to code vut hinox in the gameboy games could grab and throw you too. That said, I love the modeling job. fits right in with everything else! The lack of a weakpoint on theeye is a nice touch too.

I'm pretty sure there's a sword stabbed into its eye so it doesn't do anything cuz it's used to having something in his eye that's why the arrows don't work

This mod would be good if not for two things: That it breaks your game with crashes and panic moons and also if it has less typos and text box errors As it stands it’s an A for effort but borderline unplayable.

Yeah many enemies have simple exploits when you know what to do. The battle system and AI needs to be refined in part 2!

The hinox didn't get its own boss in the Champions ballad like the Talus and Molduga, I'm glad you gave it justice

I should really get into playing modded zelda. One of my favorite games, and from this it seems like your mod really fits well with the whole vibe of the existing game. Seems like just an unofficial DLC

Imagine if someone made a hint boss the size of a Titan, like the Cyclops from Hercules.
I'm pretty sure there's a sword stabbed into its eye so it doesn't do anything cuz it's used to having something in his eye that's why the arrows don't work

you can freeze the hinox if you feel like taking good aim at its eye :)
This mod would be good if not for two things:
That it breaks your game with crashes and panic moons and also if it has less typos and text box errors
As it stands it’s an A for effort but borderline unplayable.
