- PRODUCT REVIEW
We were very lucky to have bought a hottub in lockdown and we’ve loved having one. I emptied it to refill with fresh water and there was a tiny hole. I tried 2 different products to try and fix it, spending a small fortune and nothing would work. I found ‘ blue line repair kit’ on amazon, it had brilliant reviews so thought I’d try and thankfully it worked. I’m going to use the product on 2 little hole’s in my son’s pool also. I would highly recommend this product.

Much more helpful than the actual instructions on the box! Fingers crossed still inflated in the morning. Cheers.
Me and my husband will be getting one in the spring we can't wait God bless you always
Hey Laurie jealous you have a hot tub. Love going in these when i have weekends away. Wow it was so tiny too. Good video 😁💕 xx
I know it was so small 🙈. I know same, we were very lucky to get one in lockdown xxx
I used this after watching your video. A year later still holding. Thanks for video
I have a hole in basically the same exact spot and flex tape didnt work, might give this a try next
good demo thx
is there anything in the world more soothing than a lass with a Welsh accent 😀😀
😂
Hi iv just order the same stuff as I have a little puncture on my lazy spa Miami hope it works well thank you for the video
Thank you for the video, nice and clear. Has the patch held long term?
It has, and I’ve another puncher with it too
Thank you Kindly, Laurie
Where can I buy the sticky patch from. What’s it called can’t seem to find it on the net. Thanks
I have a hole on the outside of my lay-spa hot tub just below the top line I tried this but I did it with spa deflated I ended up getting a air bubble in it.
I’m wanting to get it off and try it again but with it inflated. Do you know how to get the the patch off?
Also, this was an interesting video to me as I'm looking to get a horrible and know a bit about them.
I have an mspa which I use indoors for painful fibromyalgia. I left the door open and my cat jumped in and perforated the top. After several goes at patching it is better but still loses a small amount of air. Don't want to fill up and find it deflates. I too have cried ( a few times)!!! I am in my seventies and do not need this but will keep hoping. I think he Blue anchor stuff is good. Mine maybe not so good. Thxnk you for your video,
Aww I’m sorry. Hope you get it fixed xx
So this was a year ago, how long did the patch hold?
Omgg I really want a hot tub!!
Honestly best purchase ever 👍🏼
Great to hear a welsh accent on a video awesome. I’m just about to use the same kit to repair my hot tub. Although my excuse is it’s raining as usual in wales 🤦🏻♂️
I’ll give it a go when it’s dry and let you know.
How is your hot tub now ?? Thank you
Thank you 😄 it’s good as ever, put away for winter and works perfect
Did the hot tub stay up. I got the same problem more or less same hot tub and the puncture is in the same place. I have the same repair kit.
I have a cleverspa too but haven’t had it long, so good to see that this works especially in an awkward spot! 🙈💖
Thank god it did work, I think I would of cried if it hadn’t 🙈
@@laurievokes4949 is it still holding up now I've got a similar hole just appeared after only having it for 6 weeks 3 times it's been used but mine is at the top of the ridge bits still on the turn bit tho it's been a year was just wondering if its holding still?
@@ryano4785 it is, FairPlay it’s good stuff, I’ve used it on paddling pools now too.
@@ryano4785 Mines done exactly the same on my cleverspa, you dont seem to be able to win, the other ones seem to have problems with their eggs, ours sem to be weak seams, so i am going to try this on mine as my puncture is in the same place as yours Ryan, hope you got yours fixed too.
@@beanie.royalstar yeah all sorted now took a couple of times loading bit more glue each time it dried still seeped abit but after a few touch ups it's stayed good not gone down I got the cleverspa repair kit only £10 from the range 🤣 hope you fix your new liner direct from cleverspa as I inquired is £189 😱
Hi Laurie, 6-months on from this video upload now. Is the patch still going strong ? Great video thanks
It’s held on great, tub was out away for winter, had another minor puncher so that’s been done too
Iv got the same hole in mine mines at the top and om struggling to make it stick it proppa
How bout now? How's it holding up?
Y como se repara si se descosen las curvas?
Hey Laurie, I've used this stuff and cannot seem to get the patch to stay down. It seems to bubble up and not stick around the edges. How did you manage to keep it down?
I’ve just held it on for as long as I can, make sure the area is fully dry
How did you find the leak?
omg, we have a hole in the same place we on our 3rd try repair thanks gunna try this grrrr
Aww nightmare, to be fair this stuff worked first time for me and I’ve don’t another puncher since x
You should get an Amazon link to get credit for sending us there to get it
I'm going to get a plastic moulded hot tub I think as it'll last longer
Think I might need to make the patch smaller cc
Anyone else try and flick the fly off their screen......
I have recently bought the cleverspa matara...enjoying it, but boy is it hard to keep the ph and chlorine in check.
With regard to the hole...surely that is still under warranty..it shouldn't have failed so soon and in such a place where you down touch...its awkward to even put your back up against it...maybe worth chasing cleverspa up...😊
I know that’s side can be a nightmare.
Yea still under warranty, if this didn’t work I was going to get in touch with clever spa, thankfully it did.
It definitely is the best thing we’ve bought 💕
Hello, ive had 3 lay z spas much like yours. This is the first time ive seen a patch work. good to know. However, id call and see if you could still get a new replacement anyway. I fear over time this problem will come back to you. I see its been 5 months now sence vidio was posted, how is it doing? For thoses who want one of these, they are great but not made to last a loug time. also, try to use only liquid chems, the powers will cause build up in the heater and pumps...
Gorilla weld 2 part glue adheres best with pvc rubber (with a repair patch) you would only need a 2 pence size to patch that tiny hole. By the way your warranty would have been void!
HH-66 is the goto for me ;)
How long did this last?
Hi Laurie, that's mad, looked up to fix a hot tub hole and first to come up is one from a namesake. Where you from, Vokes isn't that common a name? Hole still ok?
South Wales, yep hole it still ok
How did u get on with the patch did it last ?
Yep, and did another puncher with it too
I have a hole and used this it’s still leaking:(
Aww no, I’ve had good luck with mine, a year on and still good
I tried this, but it didn’t work - I attempted it 3 times 😭🤬
I have a slow leak out of it now - but it stays up for most of the day.
I’m looking for a better solution.
I’ve just sprung a new leak too!
This pool has been an absolute nightmare! With punctures
Wish I’d bought a wooden one…
For those interested, there’s a guy on here suggesting 3m self adhesive patches, that they use on RNLI inflatable boats.
I’m going to try this next, if anyone has any good suggestions, please let me know x
Aww no way, I love the stuff, used it on another puncher too on the hot tub x
OP did you find the RNLI 3M patches anywhere? I’m looking on Google and can’t see 🙏🏼
can I ask where I can buy vinly cement
Surely you have yhe same Google as them
All comes with the glue
