www.onegoodthingbyjillee.com Learn how to make your own moisturizing makeup remover wipes at home! It's easy to do and will save you a TON of money over time!
How long do you personally keep these before you might toss the remainders and make a new batch of wipes? It looks great, but the water worries me a bit when it comes to shelf life.
Could you do a video on how to make regular liquid makeup remover? I know there are a lot of them out there but your recipe's are always the best! Thanks Jillee!
Hi I really like this recipe thank you. I was just concerned about how long they really last? Anything with water in it becomes "alive" and needs to be refrigerated and will probably only last for about two weeks. That's if it is refrigerated. Is there a safe chemical free preservative I can use? Will tea tree oil work?
+Camilion1205 these are similar to Clorox wipes that don't need refrigerating. All of the ingredients in this mix will stay "fresh" without refrigeration. I'd also recommend not using tea tree oil in these (unless you're already using tea tree on your face) since it is a stronger oil and might be too harsh on your skin.
I've just recently found you on You-Tube and so appreciate your videos...so of course had to subscribe. Thank you for sharing another great beneficial and money saving video. :) Gretchen
you can use cut up squares of old tshirts. those feel much more gentle than paper towels. Follow her instructions, but only use soft tshirt instead. :)
Sincere question: what is the purpose of the water if all you need is melted coconut oil? I used distilled water + coconut oil in a 2 oz clean container with lid, then a week later the top two wipes had mold spots.
I use distilled water to make bar soap, but I think it is not best for this make-up remover. Try another bottled water that is not distilled or from the tap.

TIP: Don't add the essential oil. I made 4 batches of these wipes and they went sour after about 2 weeks..which sucked as I gave sone to friends and family.
traytee I thought about making these... I read somewhere that you should use distilled water because regular tap water could have bacteria in it. Do you think that’s what did it? I want to make these too but I’m afraid they will spoil! Also, how did they work for you as far as removing makeup? Did they work just as well as store bought?
@@jtpcwife1486 Oh wow..I bet you're right about the distilled water vs tap! Can't wait to make new batches using distilled..because yes..I absolutely loved the way these worked. Maybe even better than store bought. Made my skin feel fantastic!
@@jtpcwife1486 So...I made a new batch using distilled water..they turned sour after about a week!! With some kind of red mold in them as well. I'm at a loss...😢
+Lavenia Martin It would most likely dissolve. You could try it if you really want to but toilet paper is made to dissolve very quickly. If you were going to try it get one of the really thick ones like Charmin. But I would stick with paper towels.
Thanks so much Jillee for the fabulous tips and techniques. You're great and I'm grateful!
Quyana (Thank you) Jillee! This looks like a easy diy. I would definitely try this. I am loving your videos. I hope you keep making them. :)

Can I use it not in the paper towels but in a container to put on my face so I don't have to use the paper towels?

Can you use regular water?
Lauren Murray water doesn't really remove makeup, especially the waterproof one, if you don't have coconut oil, you can also use olive oil :)
What can i use inster of coconut oil?
Baby oil
You can also use olive oil; it works just as well, if not even better than coconut oil.
4 cups each???
I believe she said 4 cups for both halves. So 2 cups each
I'm new with makeup and was wondering if you could use toilet paper instead
+Megan Hill, paper towel would definitely be better. Toilet paper is probably too thin and would easily tear.
this doesn't make sense oil and water don't mix, can someone explain?
I would think the paper would absorb both, so it should stay somewhat dispersed
Can I use toilet paper?
it would drop to pieces

Good idea, but it didn't work for me,it was just a waste of time and good paper.
