Hi; so I’ve been struggling with PvP ever since the Psychic Cup and Master league. I was looking forward to all three open leagues but it has gotten even worse. I dropped from mid 2400 all the way to just above 2000. I’ve never seen an open meta that felt so RSP. Your team for the fossil cup last season was amazing and so I was looking forward to your new team. I had all the Pokemon in your team I just need to use elite TMs for Machamp. So far the results are disappointing. 4 or 5 wins out of 20. My last match was against lead Toxpax. I stayed in, Stone Edge and shield brine, then send in Drapion. They swap in shadow Golurk, shield the two Aqua tail. Walrein comes in, they still have about 90% health, bait with shadow punch, then hit with Dynamic Punch before I could reach Icicle Spear. At this point I just concede. Sorry for the long comment but could you tell me what I should’ve done in this situation? Should I’ve sent in Drapion right away? The increased damage from Mud-Slap makes it very difficult for anything not Flying to beat Golurk.
No worries at all for the long comment! With a toxapex lead, I safe swap into shadow drapion right away, where if they counter-swap out, the goal isn't to get switch advanatge, but rather to get an energy lead on either the machamp or walrein to then utilize energy in order to take care of the toxapex
The problem is that the teams are not meta until 2400. I had also reached 2430 with my second account and tried with the same team at 2300. I crashed to 2100. I hadn't had a score this bad in 2 1/2 years at this point. I also tried this team but it didn't get any better, then Walrein swapped for Dunsparce and things got a lot better down there. Absolutely no game with Walrein... In this meta there is hardly a team that performs at least averagely in every Elo like the last seasons.
While it may hurt it in cmp situations, the higher stat product helps it in others. So if you're referring to the shadow machamp, then I'd definitely say it's worth building!
@@Grevlor You can get a guaranteed charged tm by completing 3 star raids. There will also be research tasks that reward you with a charged tm during rocket events :)
@@Papazian25 I prefer walrein here for its faster pacing and more oppressive fast move to charged move damage. Though the debuff that comes with dewgong is nice too
@@Gabilisk Swap into your drapion right away, if they stay then you’re golden, if they swap out, then play for shield advantage and not switch in the midgame. Then when machamp comes back in, you now have an energy lead and a shield advantage to deal stone edges out to the azu
I should clarify - I had two games in one set against a malamar lead, so I threw a cross chop and dipped into drapion. Each time they responded with azu but they would also superpower first so I would shield. I always end up using my second shield trying to take swap or I just can’t win swap if I want to not use my second shield, either way I would just lose
@@Gabilisk Ahhhhh ok gotcha, yeah that’s tough. When they counter swap the azu into drapion, instead of playing for switch, play for an energy advantage on either the machamp or walrein (depending on how much hp the azu has left when the drapion goes down) as you need that second shield for the superpower from the malamar
Theoretically a bulky one would be better but since it's been so long since shadow spheal has been in rocket grunt encounters, you can work with any one you have!
First opponent infamous for the stall exploit takes a nice L
He is still using exploit lol😂
Bad player
You love to see it 😅
how the hell has this pokelmo clown not gotten banned yet??
Ty Kpine for whooping this azz first trainer
trying out the team and enjoying it. Still learning the ins and out but so far so good. Also enjoy your guidance and scenario based videos.

do farm pokemon until they have right charge attacks or use a lot of charge tm?
I get one with good pvp ivs and then use charged tms to get the right moves :)
@@KPine is there a way to get guaranteed charge tm? i got 8 and consider using them on my shadows

@@KPine ohhh thanks.. only 3*?

You can try dewgong
