j z All of her albums can be found on Spotify, Apple Music (iTunes), and Amazon Music for streaming or digital purchases and on her website if you’d like a CD. They’re all great albums and are definitely worth checking out. The three albums are “Just Us”, “Up ‘Til Now”, and “Looking for the Answers”. She also has two singles (“The Loveliest Girl” and “Falling Snow”) that can be found on “Looking for the Answers.”
Great job! Way to go, Aimee! You are a great communicator! The captions explaining what you are thinking as you go along and developing your solo are such a great educational tool. Brava!
Thank you for sharing, your work is very good, you have an excellent channel. I really like what you do. Thumbs up. Congratulations and many successes, a friend Eliab
I sang along with you, and my scat was ok but my pitching was not quite as on point as yours. But, it was encouraging. It means I can do it.😊You're just great!
@@AimeeNolte If you say so! ☺ (I'm from Oakland.) But being into history, what put W-ville on my radar was the century-old tale of a very odd criminal whose multi-decade wave of nutty shenanigans centered on 3 locales: NYC; the Bay Area (Oakland/SF); and Weaverville (of all places!). It’s a long, crazy story … but W-ville itself is a gem; I loved it on sight. (As for you/your channel: you’re “Miles Ahead” 🤩 of all theory geeks I subscribe to … Go, you!!)
Your pitch and timing are right on point, it's awesome to listen to. What a great video! How much time do you spend singing through solos like this? I often find my fingers are leading the way, and need to get my ear more in there ... but my fingers sometimes are smarter than my head. Cheers! z
I think this kind of thing is important...but your pitch doesn’t have to be as good as mine or anything. I play piano on my leg while I’m singing most of the time. Connection is the important thing for me. Watch my video called “point and sing” for more.
I have to admit, not being a singer, I've never considered scatting rounds as a way to practice improvising. But then even if I had, I don't have the ear training to do it like you do. Thanks.
Check out my “point and sing” video and also my “bruh, do you even melody” video to hear my thoughts about why this is important and how to get better at it. You can do it, Don!
There are probably a few people who can bridge the gap between the student and the gods. As long as I have a reliable one, I don't really have to look for another.
This succeded in making me feel a bad scat singer...lol...also interesting...I'll watching it a second time because the first one my mind was focused on that.
Holly smoke girl, what control you have with your breathing! You always sound so good 😊 so effortless... what talent
i had to subscribe just for that pic and that _name_ 😂😉
That's just wonderful! It's such a comprehensive view of improvisor's way of thinking! Thank you Aimee so much!
WOW !!!!!!!! Fantastic !!!
Inspiring and an overall joy to watch/listen. Thanks for all you do Aimee!
5:39 to 5:50 reminded me of a Ray Brown bass solo, and when you come back in with the lyric at the end it sounded lovely - like Anita O'Day to me!
Top notch stuff
Dang your scatting is beautiful sets the perfect mood for just chillin
What a great and informative video! I'm going to try this at the end of my practice session today. Thanks, Aimee. You're a great musician and teacher.
Ignorant to all but the arpeggiation...thanks! I have been relegated to the miniscule of free time as of late, thanks Aimee!!
Brilliant idea for a video, Aimee! So helpful--thank you!
This really accentuates the importance of singing to learn/transcribe or create an Improvisation. Thanks for the wonderful vid
You are great talent. I ordered your latest album and I must say it is one of the greatest albums I have ever heard. Greetings from Finland.
Thank you so much.
You are so right. I can never tire of turning it on again just to hear that silky voice 😍
@@Musicaloris I didn't even know she had albums but I agree, her voice is outstanding.

Brilliant! 🥰If I had only half of your training and talent 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
Fabulous, mesmerizing, and instructive. Your tone is sweet and you shift from lower to higher register with apparently no difficulty. I am in awe.
Such stamina! Such an outpouring of creativity!
Just Wow!

Hi Aimee, the Korg SV2 just came out...... Time to upgrade......the previews are amazing!

Absolutely wonderful👏

Nicely explained thank you!!!💞
Nice spelunking with your voice, Aimee! Till now I only heard Fats Waller do this.

Lovely Aimee!
Hi Aimee could you do a video on trading 4s ?
Not just how to do it but how to pracise it and some examples of albums with great 4 sections ?
Good idea.
Can you make a video about how to incorporate jazz into other types of music
Can you do this in piano?!
