Looks like Irish sean nós dancing
But, it’s not a jig..
In the Ozarks, jig dancing is a term used for a freestyle dance to old-time mountain music. The term originates with the Scots-Irish but looks nothing like a proper "jig" in the U.K. The timing of the music is also very different.
@@musicwithroots irish stepdance only started in 1894 most likely from scotland. (aye, scotland has a tradition of stepdance). it,s mostly kept alive in canada alang with scottish fiddle reel music. this tho, will most likely come from welsh or english clogdance.
It's a misnomer. This is actually called flat foot or clogging.
@@dabanjo The term "jig" for this style of is only used in the Ozarks so far as I'm aware. Everywhere else thoe terms you mentioned apply, as well as "buck" dancing.
Shades of Michael Flatley!
This guy does not know how to dance he’s not even keeping time
he lives in the flat above me, so thats what he,s doing ?
