Totally agree. It seems he always played the antagonist, but was always likable because he was able to show us a softer side of a bully. Just my opinion but it's really hard to play a "bad guy" that is likable.

I love how simple Billy's speech is. When it comes from the heart it doesn't have to be performative to touch you. It's so moving to see Ralph so emotional. What a journey.

I remember saying to my husband when I first heard that they were doing Cobra Kai, “I really hope they don’t mess this up because it will ruin The Karate Kid for me if they do”. We watched the first episode and I felt huge relief. It was good….REALLY good. I felt the same way about Top Gun Maverick….so worried that it would be bad, and then so happy when I walked out of the theatre because it was better than I ever thought possible.

Just shows how good of an actor they are. Another good example of this is is another William, William Atherton. He plays the bad guy in Ghostbusters and Die Hard. I've heard that people dislike him in real life. Just shows how good of an actor these people are.
William Zabka has done brilliant work on the Cobra Kai series, as has Ralph. Some of the nicest actors ever have played mostly villains. Funny how that is. I hope Zabka gets his star soon!

Karate Kid was wonderful, but the path of redemption they took for Johnny in Cobra Kai was even better, this franchise basically became Daniel and Johnny carrying the franchise.
