Beautiful, just beautiful... remembering and letting go journey expressed in harmony and melody... music that flows, floods, captures my soul. Thank you!
Alan holds such a speacial place in my heart as so many of his scores resonate with me. The music in this film is another character and it's one of my favorite Hanks films of all time. Thank you so much for breaking this down and sharing it with us. So grateful. 👍👍
I REALLY LOVE YOUR CHANNEL!!! I KNOW YOU'LL BECOME BIG SOMEDAY! 🥺🧡 HOPE YOU CAN MAKE A FULL OST FOR GHOST 1990 FILM! WOULD LOVE TO HEAR IT AGAIN! THANK YOU! 🧡
At 3:45 it's very sad when Wilson floats away from the sea, he should get him all the way to get him, not keeping yelling "Wilson, I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I'm sorry Wilson."
I agree about how sad this moment is... but it's also one of those moments that you realize has to happen because he's about to rejoin society and, in society, you cant have a volleyball with a personality you've created for it to keep you sane, in a survival mode. Just like in real life how things can come into your life for moments or years but not stay... wilson served a purpose, to keep chuck sane even though we know talking to a volleyball is insane. Makes that moment so much more special for us the audience because we shared what he had to go through and how much it hurts to have to say goodbye. Like saying goodbye to a best friend. I love this movie so much.
You get so involved in this movie that you completely forget that Hanks was not alone on the island. He had the movie's writers, producers, and cameramen on the island with him. Excellent acting by Hanks.
a soccer ball, as a supporting actor...true genius...but Hanks makes it work so well (tossing the ball away in frustration on the island and then running after it like a little kid); we forget the reality of what/who is really keeping Chuck alive... his love for Kelly.
@@robertdantona7952 it's a symbol - it was time to let go and surrender - come what may - he was finally ready. Every beat of the film is about decisions. From the innocuous to the biggies and that's the rub - the small ones can turn out to be the biggest of them all.

Just beautiful - The music just touches your soul.
This music just rips into you soul.
I totally agree! Tenderness captured in ebb and flow of antiphony.

He had to keep breathing, if he had reached Wilson he couldn’t make it back to the raft and Kelly.
