I can't imagine that Ron Howard would hate anyone since he had a father that taught him about being a young professional actor from beginning. In fact, when Andy Griffin died he spoke up about his sadness for Andy who was like a father figure to him while he was on that show. Plus, his own father was there during the taping of the show while he was young boy.

I WAS SO DISAPPOINTED IN THE LIES IN THIS VIDEO. ANDY DID NOT HATE "AUNT BEE" AND STATED, "I NEVER UNDERSTOOD WHY SHE WOULD GET UPSET OR HAVE A DEMEANOR OF COLDNESS TOWARDS ME...AND THAT I WANTED TO HAVE PEACE BETWEEN US." AND AT THE END OF HER LIFE, SHE CALLED HIM UP AND STATED, "IS THERE ANYTHING I CAN DO TO HELP YOU AND I WOULD LIKE TO SEE YOU." SHE SAID, "I WANT TO TELL YOU THAT I AM SORRY FOR HOW I TREATED YOU, IT WAS NOT YOU, IT WAS ME!" SO THERE YOU HAVE IT. THE TRUTH.

I have never laughed and been so entertained by by an actor in my life. That show was one of my favorites. The episode where Oppie accidently kills a momma bird with a sling shot. Oppie raised the birds by hand. I was in the hospital a lot so I had a lot of animal friends that I watched regularly. When the birds got big enough to leave the nest, I remember that I cried. I learned to love animals from that episode. I think many friendships between members of the cast were lifelong and very special. Interesting, according to IMDB, it was Ron Howard, not the actor who played Ernest T Bass, who Frances Bavier turned away with Andy Griffith at her door in N C. That, plus if Ron Howard hated anyone, it really was never disclosed, as if anything...he learned quite a bit from all the adult cast members, as well as behind the scenes. Quite frankly, I'm surprised they didn't give him an "honorary" directorship role in that series, just to give him a taste of what it was like then. We know he has a great lineup of works today, though.

Bavier, Aunt Bea, was in movies too. She was in original "The Day the Earth Stood Still" with Michael Renee and Patricia Neal too, in 1951.
And Knotts, Barney, was originally a ventriloquist. Performing in USO show, Don lost his ventriloquists dummy in moving to troop gigs. He had to improvise, and switched to comedy routines; as he didn't have his dummy. After that his career changed from ventriloquism to comical acting and comedy.

Imo there are many life lessons in the Andy of Mayberry Show. The relationships and how Andy dealt with those relationships provide much to learn from. Such close knit communities and friendships were once common all across rural small-town America. I think we ought to try to get as much of that back as possible. @@TheClimberbob1 The interesting thing I've noticed watching reruns of "Andy..." recently that I haven't seen since I was in grade school is that within the humor and "aw, shucks" country boy mannerisms the character of sheriff Taylor has much we can learn from and benefit from today.
He never escalates a dispute. He knows his neighbors as people. He looks for creative win/win solutions and succeeds in making them happen. And he's a patient loving father to Opie.
Family. Community. Justice. Living by the golden rule. Being of service to others. And a pretty good guitar picker, too.
It's not that life is all that complicated today. It's that we seem to be oblivious to how we're all in various ways making life harder, less secure, more lonely and isolated for ourselves and each other than it has to be.
"The kingdom of heaven is at hand." That's what Christ said about life on earth 2,000 years ago. It still is. We're all holding it in our hands right now, this very moment, and have been every moment for literally centuries. The only thing holding us back is us.

I do NOT believe that Ron Howard hated Andy😡.
I have heard Ron Howard say in another interview that he appreciated Andy and how he conducted the atmosphere.
Ron said that Andy was like another father.
You can see the love and appreciation between Ron and Andy all through the episodes.
Regrettably, these “gossip mongers” who spread negative rumors are like parasites.

And Ron turned around and said. I don't have anything right now but I'll keep you in mind. Yep. Andy said on live TV how hurt he was then he never asked him again. I wouldn't either. Ron would be nothing without Andy. I'm trying to find that episode.
