My sons pt is 20 inr 1.5. Hes 11 years of age. Hes perfectly fine. He had blood streaks in poo hence did poo tests n blood tests. Liver function is fine. Technically this could have been from birth. The are giving a vit k injection over three days then assess.

I had an aortic valve replacement. I use warfarin. I am 55 years old last. My inr number was 4 last Friday. I decided not taking one day warfarin because my Dr doesn't call me after my inr test. I don't know if I do right? My Dr secretary tells me Then my Dr said take 2mg for one week. Last Saturday and Sunday my chest was hurting. If my inr is 4 what can I do? Next day?

GET A NEW DOCTOR!!!! My mother has INR testing at home. She recently reached 3.5. The doctor told her to do the same as you did. She stopped warfarin for one day, then for the next two days, took only 1/2 dosage. This may or may not work for you. But 4.0 is way too high - your blood is getting too thin. GET A NEW DOCTOR and report the old one to the medical board.
