Cam you definitely don't go hungry. I feel Tiff looks after you pretty well 😉😉😉. Some great footage. I love Stream and Reef beach. Can't believe you've never been there. Like you said, the dune xylem is amazing. Cheers Mark...
I used to be a member of the Fishing club that built and owned that hut at Reef beach. It wasn't a squatters shack as we also leased an acre of the land that surrounded it from the WA government. I spent many a cold south coast evening around that wood heater. (Great memories). We handed back the lease about 10 years ago.
@Magic Mechanic I haven't caught Mullaway there, but I wouldn't be surprised if they are around. Tailor are diffently there. Big ones. The biggest I've caught was 7kg.
I'm sure you are busy, so really appreciate the reply. I'm an Albany lad and know the country well. Sure do love going back in time, thanks to your excellent vids. I'm now 69 but still recall our night at Reef Beach. Tractor to the western end and caught bulk salmon then inside the reef at night, caught a 3 metre bronzie with my home made Rangoon cane rod matched with an Alvey 650C wooden spooled reel. Thanks for the memories Good fun for a 17 yo and good memories
Spent my child hood at reef my grand parents Eric and Doris mcglinn ran the osac from there.great fishing fing paper nautilus shells on beach after winter storms
Was there before Christmas with the Mrs and kids, I broke my leg on the rocks. Worst part was I couldn't get my rod back to the beach. Had to stay the night. It took 27 hours to get camp packed up and get back to Perth to go to hospital.
Those dunes were amazing, it looked like you were in a legit desert. I was wondering if you guys have dynamic / kinetic recovery ropes down there? Where I'm from, we use them in the snow, but I've heard they're great for the sand as well.
It’s nice how remote you can get in Australia in just a couple of hundred miles. Hope one day to visit Perth area and rent a 4x4 with the family. Great channel
Make sure when u hire one u read the contract agreement carefully before signing up. Alot of them if not all of them wont allow u to drive on a beach, which is stupid considering one is hiring a 4wd. So your really only kinda restricted to gravel roads, some companies even require permission from said companies to drive on roads like the Gibb river road.
@@krump743 yes thanks for the info unfortunately there’s a lot off people that have no business been in a 4x4. I’ve spent a bunch of time over the years going to anza borrego and glamis sand dunes in eastern Southern California. We use to see people in there new 4x4 doing the most ludicrous things and hurting themselves and others. I see why the rental companies would try to keep there rigs from getting totaled. G day mate
Hi Cam, Awesome footage. It reminds me of Stockton beach here on the east coast. I go over there regularly, unfortunately I can’t put drone up as it’s next to Williamtown RAAF base/ Newcastle airport. Great work though. I’ll put that on my oz trip plan. Cheers Out There Touring
Cheers Greg! Poor old Duffy was flying the drone around the reef beach shack and the wind caught it and it drifted away! Couldn't do anything to get it back, and couldn't find where it crashed unforunately!
Great question, look forward to Cam’s reply on this one. Cam did have a travel buddy for a while and he did say in one of his vidz why he forfeited it over the air fryer and also using the induction over gas for certain things but I can’t remember which video it was
Me too mate. I thought now that he's tried this new induction with the better temp adjustments that I'd be worth asking him about it again The air fryers look pretty efficient too for what they are. I watched somebody else's RUclips video a while back and they apparently draw the same amps except the air fryer cooks food faster and makes things crispier
I think they both have their place. Induction comes into its own for windy conditions and convenience/speed. But I just prefer cooking on gas for temperature control, and to reduce load on the batteries. Induction obviously uses a heap of power, and it doesn't matter how big your battery bank is. In fact, the bigger the battery bank, the deeper you can discharge - which means it's even harder to get the charge back in. It's not so bad in a caravan because you've got heaps of real-estate on the roof to mount solar panels. But in a car you're limited to space unless you carry multiple blankets OR your driving every day to put charge in via alternator. I get away with it driving most days between campsites, but its difficult if I'm camped up in one spot for multiple days.
Cheers for the reply. A consultation with off road living is in the cards but I usually like to stay put for a day at most before driving so hopefully induction is something that will suit my needs as it'd be wicked not having to bring gas with me to camp
Great video cam , I'm heading to gnarloo station on Tuesday for a few days , it looks like a top place. Have you been there before and if so have you got any places of interest I should check out? Cheers mate
You'll love it up there, its a spectacular bit of coast. I havn't stayed at Gnarloo, but I have stayed at Quobba (Red Bluff). Check out the aquarium on the way up, some really nice snorkelling there. Also worth having a look at the blowholes as you pass through. Bring plenty of tackle, lots of sharks and reef to contend with!

What’s the fishing like on reef beach Steve? Would there be a chance of mulloway and tailor around there? Cheers

Got photos of my grandad building the shack in 53
What a magical part of the world. Ripper vid, thanks for sharing it pal.

We went in by tractor in the early seventies and stayed at "Le Shack". Really soft beach.

Nice, I ride past that shack just the other week on a windy afternoon and one of those dunes ate my bike!

Stunning bit of coast down there!

Pleasure! 👍
Bremer Bay sure does have some awesome beaches. Reef and Stream Beach were two of my favourites. Nice video, look forward to next week's 🤙🤙🤙
Sssshhh man. It's actually a terrible place and not worth the fuel to get there 😅

Stunning coast. You seem to have a great group of friends even if they get some very bad luck!😅🤭☺️
What happened to the bees??🐝🐝🐝
Haha yeah they are a really good group to get away with!
We just left the bees to do their thing and they disappeared by night time.

Another great Video Cam Loved the Beach Shack. How did your mate lose his drone.
Yeah I thought there was a story coming on the drone demise as well. Cams “keep the drone in the air tips”!
@@Cadz-On-Tour yea may be tell us in the next video about the drone.

Wow that’s amazing. Same experience for me, seen it on Ronnys channel but never been. What’s the shortest way there off the tarmac?
I think there is a track that cuts directly in from Bremer Bay Road, but i havn't driven it myself!
What do you prefer about cooking on gas as aposed to the induction/air fryer? I'm on the fence about making the switch to lithium
