I still have 3 Obi-wan, his tempo play with Luke is what will win most games
I took out The Force is With Me as it felt a little win more in some cases, the shield is amazing, but if you don't have the shield then I'd rather play a body like Fleet Lieutenant or Wing Leader
This is the most engaging strat vid I've seen yet! Keep it up :)
Another cool video. I am loving these
Great stuff yeti. Consider baze where cloud city guard is.
Consider baze instead of wing guard and consider spark of rebellion out of aspect instead of the force is with me. To counter your opponents answers to your luke deploy turn, you will see spark of rebellion deploy and Luke's saber as a very common line of play if you haven't already.
out of aspect spark is something i have not thought about or seen yet, but that could get you around the ECL 1 shot play coming from boba / sabine with steadfast battalion. that said i still really love the force is with me as a card
@@Tacster4 I like the card too. but ya spark gets around that, power of the dark side, slb, surprise strike to kill luke, overwhelming barrage to kill luke. It gets around a lot.
Can of information: Just add water. Great video!
This is my favorite comment ever.
Make one for Boba Green deck or vader blue deck please
Check back next Tuesday at 9AM Pacific!
yeah the thing is right now, Luke is getting crushed by control
Every deck has to have a bad matchup. Luke has a chance though even in a bad matchup, which is what makes it such a great deck. U-Wing Reinforcement x3, Home One x3, Vigilance x3, and Restock x2. Redemption x2 is also a great sentinel in space to help deal with Avenger as long as you make sure you have sacrifice fodder. You replenish the board as much as possible with U-Wing, and Home One to keep putting pressure on them, and than play the Mill game if you can't win that way.
@@SWUDAD yeah I've never win that way against a good hard control player. Against normal control, you can do it, against hard control it's 90/10 for him. That's why we dont see more Luke in tournament. There is a difference between having a bad matchup and a nearly impossible matchup.
@@MeepleonFire Totally agree except on the 90/10. I just played against two Vader Blue's with Luke Green and beat them both. Definitely not easy. Just made sure to have 2 units on the board at all times to keep the pressure on. Didn't over commit to the board. Vigilance is also great for helping to take care of Childsen while milling out your opponent.
In one game, for reference they drew the perfect curve through the first 8 turns. Superlaser blast on 8 resources, and Avenger on 9. After laser blast Luke, U-Wing, and Redemption with a shield helped close the deal against the Avenger they had. Home one at 12 resources can get back a Luke Unit which is incredible.
Luke definitely is at a disadvantage, but the ability to continuously refill the board late game, and Luke's instant speed removal is what gives it a fighting chance.
@@MeepleonFire List for reference
Leader and Base
1 Luke Skywalker, Faithful Friend
1 Echo Base
// Ground Units
3 Alliance Dispatcher
3 Battlefield Marine
3 Echo Base Defender
3 Fleet Lieutenant
3 Kanan Jarrus, Revealed Jedi
3 Luke Skywalker, Jedi Knight
3 Obi-Wan Kenobi, Following Fate
3 R2-D2, Ignoring Protocol
// Space Units
2 Alliance X-Wing (In place of Underwhelming Yoda)
(2 resource unit, helps fill the board more with U-Wing, and on turn 2 with an R2-D2 for example. Also another flyer so control can't force choke me right away on turn 1)
3 Bright Hope, The Last Transport
3 Consortium StarViper
1 Home One, Alliance Flagship
2 Redemption, Medical Frigate
3 Restored ARC-170
// Events
3 Resupply
3 U-Wing Reinforcement
2 Vigilance
// Upgrades
2 Devotion
2 Luke's Lightsaber
// Sideboard
2 Home One, Alliance Flagship
2 Reinforcement Walker
2 Restock
3 Vanquish
1 Vigilance
Wing Leader did not make the cut in this list. It is too easily knocked out after it hits the board, and almost becomes a liability in this deck if that's the only unit I were to play on a turn. Too important for units to stick in this deck
I have opted to drop the Light sabers for 2x Entrenched (+1 in sideboard for Control) in the last week or two… it is way more flexible. R2 becomes a force to deal with in the ground arena, and once that Avenger drops, you just paralyze it and steer clear of the space arena 😊
Is this still Sean?
Indeed it is.
@PearlYeti Its been a minute! I still think of you every time I see a bottle of eagle rare hahs
@@Stranglebat Ooph. With how rare Eagle Rare is these days that must not be very often 😛
@@Artificery My local in carries it haha, Maybe its easier to get in Australia than America now :)
@@Stranglebat time to look into shipping rates 🙂
