As someone who is studying 3D animation and has made a few little games, some guy exploring out of bounds is terrifying (but still hilarious), you just see all the stuff we tried to hide in the actual game!
It's speculated that the outside of the building is modeled because you were initially supposed to start on the outside of the building and walk in, but this was cut. Also, fun fact: The Huggy Wuggy toys have sharp teeth in them.
On mobile You can actually see the sign by looking up through the windows! I'm not sure bkut other devices though cos I don't have poppy playtime on my pc

The toys are actually the murder version of buggy they have teeth and you never see em or anything it’s amazing how much stuff was never used in this game
Things like the stairway, floors that extend out of bounds, the big sign outside, little bits of jank like that are more or less beta leftovers, signs that the map layout has changed throughout development, some ideas that didn't work out, etc, and oftentimes it's much faster to just seal off entire sections and make them inaccessible as opposed to remodeling and retexturing an area.
I always have a fear of seeing an out of bounds video of a horror game and just.. the models are *right* behind some area we don't expect and scare the shit out of us or something.. like for example if Huggy was right below the floor and you happen to clip in to see and have him in your face
They did something like this with PT, actually - as soon as you get the flashlight, the model of Lisa spawns in behind the player and never leaves. She's *literally* always right behind you, and nobody had any idea until a guy hacked the game to allow for manual camera control five years after it came out.
Ahaha that's what BATIM did, put signs of a 'crazy-eyed' Bendy with a sign that said "Wandering is a SIN" in places that were out of bounds, I think they may have even had their own music?
The sign is likely an artifact of a scrapped opening where you would have walked in before the game starts. The floor being bigger than the room is to make sure you can't fall out on the edges (they probably made the room first, then just made an arbitrary rectangle bigger than the room for the floor, it just had to be bigger than the floor, specifics don't matter)
Stairway to hell might be the final turnback point when you enter the prototype's nest, then after you just kinda walk out, or you are dragged out inside it
@@sarahdragons861 A very thin spiral staircase (That has walls surrounding it so it's more of a square spiral.) that just keeps going down and down for 100+ levels, and IF you reach an ending it doesn't tend to end well. I'm sure there's still videos of gameplay of it up, just requires a bit of patience since it can drag a bit.
@@Roadent1241 I COMPLETELY FORGOT ABOUT IT, but then again, could you imagine us making it into the stairway, being almost dead, and the prototype taking us out to do his way with us, it would be the best reference they could make
this is in no way meant to be hating on the video or anything, i actually enjoyed it a lot just to clarify tho. all games have these out of bounds things, all games have stretched textures and all games have things that just cut off when you cant see them anymore. this was not the creators being lazy, its something that happens very often.

Is much better seeing the void as not a void in fully black space forever, but is better for the background outside the Realm to be sky and forever more space white. So you feel more hopeful
I don't know if you're aware, but the entire area of Chapter 1 has been revamped prior to the launch of Chapter 3. Tericho did a run through of it. The lobby has been completely redone and you're now able to see the sign through the new glass panes of the roof. There's also been some writing added to the vents during the chase alongside what's already there. I think the lighting was changed too, making it overall darker, but I couldn't tell. Might have been that Tericho had his contrast up to compensate. As for the unused stairwell, going on what's known, it may come into play later as an escape route out or access to another area down the line since it literally goes down 2-3 floors and we can't access it yet. It's there for a reason, we just don't know what that reason is.

I feel like poppy playtime is trying very hard to be the new bendy. Several chapters, mysterious tapes, people turning into crazy monsters, experiments, workers disappearing and then contacting the player after an extended period of time, a crazy entity you’re not sure if is good or evil. Do you guys think I’m right?
I mean, they're honestly doing it better than Bendy did imo. To be fair I also just didn't enjoy Bendy at all really, but like.... Eh... I don't like comparing games a ton like that. There's obvious inspiration, but like... A LOTTA games have themes around experiments, humans used as bait/possibly turned into monsters, and things like using kids toys as a horror thing. I don't see it as copying anything, it's just taking inspiration.

Ahaha most certainly. Hell, even its chapter structures and character archetypes are similar. Short, 'tech demo' first chapter ending with a scripted chase scene. Imposing female character that makes you do fetch-quests/minigames while she watches while out of your reach. Then of course the 'in-universe childhood items gone bad--but hey one could be good, trying to help you'. Veeeery similar :)
