I will get my aussiepoo pup Dec 16 21 . honestly my current puppy is a 10 month old Schnoodle and I have had the easiest time potty training her. No bells…I carried her to our back door till she figured it out. I got her at 8 wks and only took her out in the middle of the night 4 times the first week. She slept through the night after that in her crate on the end table by my bed. Next I eventually moved her crate to the living room and slept in the recliner with her crate on the end table. Next eventually I put her crate next to my older dog in the living room and I slept in my room. Between 8-10 wks I only cleaned up 3 floor messes….and none since then. At 10 months you say outside potty and she goes to the door. When I leave the house or it’s nite time I say “ kennel “ and she goes in the kennel. Outside every time she peed I’d say good girl go potty…every time she pooped I’d say good girl go poo. Today she knows the difference between the two. I hope my aussiepoo is as easy.
Cool video. My goldendoodle gently rings the bells everytime he needs to go. We had a full poodle and she couldn't ever figure it out. We're getting an aussiedoodle so stay tuned.
Great Video! I do have a question about this method. Do you keep a separate crate in the bedroom, or do they sleep in the crate in the kitchen at night and you sleep somewhere close by so that you can take them out to eliminate if needed? I assume that you are not sleeping in the kitchen with them at night....but I'm not sure because you mention it's important to keep them isolated to one room. Thanks!
I do have one question my Wife and me have . What is the difference between Male and Female with personality/ Demeter. We always had male Poodles and we was just wondering what would be best or if anything. Any information would be great . Love your videos,..... thank you .
I love your information. Thank you! I think this info can be used with all puppies. I just took in a Staffordshire bull terrier and shes pregnant. I'm sooo scared about the dog having puppies. I've never dealt with that. This video was very helpful and I'm going to try and do all of this and make an area near the back door instead of in the dining room where I have a large dog pool for her to give birth in. I LOVE how you teach not to yell or be mean ❤️ I'm wondering how do I do this alone with 5-7 new puppies 🤔 Is 8-10 weeks good to let them go to new family? That's what I'm thinking.
i think he just meant that you shouldn't make your puppy drink a lot of water before you go out of the house like to the grocery store and instead just keep it in the crate
Can we do this technique, then when he seems potty trained, move his crate to another room that’s more out of the way? Will moving the crate later on cause a setback with their training?
We are going to have our crate in the kitchen but we can't isolate the room because it is open all the way across to our living room. Any suggestions? Thank you
Don’t get me wrong, this is a very informative video...but dammit I keep finding myself rewinding the clip coz my mind keeps focusing on how CUTE those puppies are!🤣🤣
Hello! We recently got an aussiedoodle puppy and are trying to follow your potty training regimen, but there is one obstacle we are running into. When we are saying time to go potty outside, he doesn't want to go, so we have to carry him to the door. But he will go potty once he gets outside. Any tips to get him to come to the door? We are also using the bells.
Looks great, but our puppy will have to go downstairs to get to the grass; should we carry her down the stairs until she's able to go down on her own??
@@SimplySami13 We initially “rang” the bell for her, and then took her outside the front door on a leash to “let’s go potty”. She never caught on to the bells as they were only toys to her. We also tried a bell on the floor which didn’t work either-too much of a toy. Maya got to where she’d stand by the back door & look at us “in that way”! Once she was big enough to go down stairs we let her out back. She had maybe 3 accidents in the house. Sorry it took me so long to reply; just saw your question.
TheRoundQuader yeah I know most of the my city lives in a high rise. I live on the 2nd floor. and I'm getting my puppy on April 14. I will be taking him out every hour for the first week. I'm going to log his pee and poops. and always feed at the same time. always take out after naps and after food. it's gonna be a really hard start. but they learn fast . plus that's how all the apartment dogs I know are trained. they are trained that these are the 4 times we go out to the washroom a day as adults. and they just hold it.
TheRoundQuader You take them outside every couple hours until their potty trained. Potty training doesnt take forever but it does take time and work. So don't get a dog if your not willing or can't take your puppy downstairs every couple hours to go potty until they can hold it for longer. Eventually a puppy can hold their pee and poop for 6-9 hours at night. But it takes awhile. Crate Training helps a ton. Especially if you live in an apartment. Teaching your puppy to hold it is key. Even If you lived in a 2 story house... same story. Gotta take the dog downstairs to go potty.
The Zoologist How is you new puppy doing? I am a late to the video. Haha! Hope potty training went well.. it is totally do-able to raise a puppy in a high rise or apartment that is potty trained to only go outside its the same concept as if you lived in a house just a little more inconvenience for the owner. The price of a dog. :)
Hello, I want to say that was a very informative video... I’m about to get a male Aussiedoodle myself.. if I’m away at work for 10 hours.. do I leave him in his crate with it shut?
Please Do not get a dog if you are away from home for more than 5 hours. They will go stir crazy left alone and develop behavior problems. If you're gone more than 5 hours a day, we would suggest another type of pet.
Lakesha Hennry Same deal. You take them downstairs to go potty every couple hours and you crate train them until they get it. Same concept. Just a little more dedication and work for the owner.
i live in an apartment where i would have to go down the elevator and walk out, should i potty train with puppy pads so there's no accidents in the hallways?

Do you shut the crate at night time
Waiting for my turn they are so adorable 😍
where do you get those bells and gates
Great Tips my friend ,... watching from Kentucky “ The Bluegrass State “ .
Oh my goodness they are soo stinking cute! I want one so bad.
You shouldn't want to get a dog just because their cute
Oh lemme guess, you got a dog because you’re a humanitarian and selfless?
7:25 So in those situations.......????
i think he just meant that you shouldn't make your puppy drink a lot of water before you go out of the house like to the grocery store and instead just keep it in the crate
Very instructive indeed but at what frequency should we bring the puppy outside for potty time during the day and is it the same pattern at night ?
This is a really good video but I want to know what we should do if it's winter and it cold for them?
Very cute babies Potty training very good thank you for sharing this video is good Bless you all .

Fantastic, thanks!
My puppy is going to sleep with me and be with me so how do I train it to not pee or poop in my room
Do you close the crate at night??
Do you close the crate at night when you put the pup(s) down for the night?
I’m getting one in December any tips for beginners?
We are going to have our crate in the kitchen but we can't isolate the room because it is open all the way across to our living room. Any suggestions? Thank you
Maria, the entire video is about isolating puppy to one room. If you can't do that, then you can't do this technique.

Spend more time outside my Aussie was the same why now she loves going outside I kno this is old but hopefully it helps someone else
I need help
I have a German Shepard she's almost 7 month's I can't get her to pee or poopo
I got her in February she won't pee out side
What if your puppy can't hold it to get outside when they wake up, and that's why you carry them? That's what our problem is.
