Everyone is sleeping on Will You Snail. It's still on stock. It's short but it was the best time I've spent and it has great replayability. I have almost 0 complaints on it. It was also my first limited print game from Super Rare.
Definitely love getting some of these games from Limited Run Games, Super Rare Games, and other similar publishers such as Strictly Limited Games, Special Reserve Games, and Eastasiasoft (PlayAsia). These publishers may not have their titles be as widely available as a normal retail release, but it gives an opportunity for many smaller indie games to be preserved in a physical format. It's a complex thing to explain in short, but Nintendo requires certain amounts of physical copies printed to sell at retail. Some indie games get sold at retail, but warm shelves and get clearanced out, resulting in profit losses. Going through LRG, Super Rare, etc provides the chance for indie devs to have physical forms of their games without worry of losing money off the physical release. Really nice to see you highlight these Switch releases. If you want me to recommend some limited titles, I would suggest looking for Wandersong, The Messenger, VA-11 HALL-A, Furi, Mutant Mudds Collection, and Little Inferno. For current titles with limited physical releases, I definitely would recommend Carrion, which is up for preorder right now from Special Reserve and Limited Run. Every physical copy even comes with a digital code to play the game much sooner, and you could keep the physical game sealed.
I have Axiom Verge Multiverse edition for Nintendo Switch. I opened it and played a little. Has a great soundtrack from memory. I don't think of limited run games etc as official releases just neat little things for fans/collectors of specific franchises.

I think the extra wait time is due to LRG including a soundtrack with the game, because there were some issues with the game apparently being sold elsewhere.
Thomas Moran - Let me look that up, because if you preordered one of the two versions, it was purposely delayed until they could produce CD soundtrack based on the game, because I read that LRG may have gotten into a little bit of trouble with Streets of Rage 4 being mostly only available through them, so of course, people preordered through LRG, only to find out that the game is available at many other outlets. Therefore, to make up for it, they added the soundtrack as an apology, I guess.

It's also fantastic that these indie games are getting physical releases. however, I can't help but feel like these releases are artificial collector's items. I buy from LRG, and it's worth it from time to time (Curse of the moon is worth getting a physical copy) only negative I have is the waiting game I have about a few games that I pre-ordered a few months back and I'm still waiting.
@@NintendoCollecting that and licensing issues. One of the games I pre-ordered was Samurai Jack for the PS4 thing is it's ready to ship but there's been a bit of a dispute with a developing company.
The pre-order campaign for Doom: The Classics Collection ended on April 30 and I've been told it won't be shipped until November, lol .. Got the collectors edition for PS4 and standard for Switch.
I'm kind of happy, that nowadays you can play your favourite Games on almost any platform now, whether it's through emulation, a digital, or a physical copy. I personally just want to have Games, which I could play on for the original platform, if for a decent price of course. But I think, it's cool to have such companies, which focus on physical releases for the collectors and such. Sadly, you can't have both LR and SR-Games, without paying for shipment and customs duty, which sucks, everytime you want to order a new game. But still, things could be worse. And it's great, that the Switch has no region lock, unlike the 3DS :) PS: I've never seen a Divinity: Original Sins 2 physical copy for the Switch anywhere on youtube. Does anybody here own one, maybe? I'm just asking out of pure interest. Take care, stay safe everyone.
The shantae series is fantastic but pirate's curse for switch physically is like one of the most expensive games that you can buy and it's the last one I need to complete my collection physically on switch. Like $400 to $500. I want to get it someday. I open all of my games to play them 😊. Plus i prefer my games physically. I barely even download games.
If you are interested in a title, or really enjoy the game or series. Then I'd collect. I don't have many from Limited Run Games. But I do have a few Shantae games on the ps4. I kind of wish I would have gotten then on the Switch when they released since Shantae is very Nintendo heavy imo. The last game I got was Garou Mark of the Wolves, that they had up recently. But yeah, just collecting them to be collecting them isn't what anyone should do imo. But if you like the series, game etc. Get it. Having a collection of games you love to play, these can seem like little hidden gems, due to how few physical copies exist.
I wish it wasnt limited and there was just something that releases it regurarly, its impossible to find some games after they sell out like from resellers. It kinda sucks in a way. But hey at least digital games get physical releases!
I have about 350 switch games but I’m not even trying to get all the limited run, there’s far too many and they are very expensive. So I’m only getting stuff I wanna play or that’s weird

It is for all of the e-shop games that would have never got a physical release otherwise. Some of these are actually games that are older too from previous platforms

i have human fall flat from super rare games but my dog somehow got to the cartridge at night and tried to eat it but In the end, he didn't eat the whole thing, and now it's just harder to put the cartridge in the switch. and ill say that is kind of my fault because i left the cartridge on the desk (with the rest of my switch cartridges) also for people who want to see how to cartridge looks like cdn.discordapp.com/attachments/543948959845187634/735612860885106728/image0.jpg
I like the limited companies providing games that wouldn’t normally get releases. Play-Asia made a physical copy of Death road to Canada, I really enjoyed that one. I’m also waiting very excitedly for the Physical release for Bug Fables! I’m glad someone is continuing the Gameplay style of the OG Paper Mario titles, I absolutely adore those games.
Nintendo Collecting Limited Run games mentioned it in their most recent press conference when they announced a ton of stuff. They still haven’t told anybody the preorder date as far as I’m aware, so I stay patient. There’s a subreddit I use for switch game collecting called www.reddit.com/r/NSCollectors/ that’s really handy for finding out about that type of stuff.
The majority of these limited run games, along with any modern video game, will most likely not hold any significant value in the next 10 to 20 years. Usually artificially scarce products don’t hold value. Items that are worth a ton of money now were not thought of as valuable at the time of release, so nobody held onto them. Just think of how many people today who are hording physical media. Sure a rare few will be worth something but good luck figuring that out at the present time.
LRG and SR games slongside all other company's like this suck. I like the idea of games being published like this but its often not worth the larger price tag.
@@derek-64 I understand that frustration too. On the company side of it, LRG and SRG want to sell every copy they make so they can make a profit. It is a slippery slope and difficult for them too
a lot of people including myself are drawn to that graphic style. 8-bit and 16-bit pixelated graphics are my favorite style of graphics. i just love the look of it and i appreciated the fact that there's so many indie developers making games with similar graphics. hell, look at Panzer Paladin. just released on the switch eshop but i'll wait for a physical release if they do one but it's a not to the 8-bit nes style games and it looks great!
@@chimcham300 it's not just indie developers but gamers as well. i don't call myself a gamer, just a guy who enjoys playing games. however, i love the old school 8-bit and 16-bit pixelated graphic style. i love the look of those games and it's nice to see new games being done in that style. one of my favorite switch games is Battle Princess Madelyn. it's a nod to Super Ghouls N Ghosts. i really enjoyed the game and i love the graphics!

I just bought my first limited run game, the 3ds atooi collection, I never played them before so I decided might as well buy them.
And it's great, that the Switch has no region lock, unlike the 3DS :)
PS: I've never seen a Divinity: Original Sins 2 physical copy for the Switch anywhere on youtube.
Does anybody here own one, maybe? I'm just asking out of pure interest.
Take care, stay safe everyone.
I've got one
I thought I was the only one who hates when the backs of the box only have art, instead of the usual retail style with info/screenshots.
It drives me nuts. What is the gameplay like? Who are the characters? What genre is the game?
The shantae series is fantastic but pirate's curse for switch physically is like one of the most expensive games that you can buy and it's the last one I need to complete my collection physically on switch. Like $400 to $500. I want to get it someday. I open all of my games to play them 😊. Plus i prefer my games physically. I barely even download games.
Friend: bruh I just let you barrow them, you weren’t supposed to open them...
Lol
How do you get rare games?
Dust is a really good game I remember playing it on the 360
Galf is actually a game in someone's home that you can play its like a knock off NES golf is pretty funny
OMG that is amazing. Meta
I would only collect those games that mean something to me from limited run games. Therefore I only picked up Celeste. Beautiful game.
I have golf story, my friend pedro, outlast dual pack, west of loathing and turok dual pack. I wanna find thimbleweed park, night trap and celeste
Night Trap on eBay for $70 and up
I have about 350 switch games but I’m not even trying to get all the limited run, there’s far too many and they are very expensive. So I’m only getting stuff I wanna play or that’s weird
That is an INSANE collection already
first of all, how dare you have never have played a Shantae game!
and yeh Transistor is fantastic! highly recommended!
bruh shantae is $300 I got lucky I was able to buy it at $70 before the crazy spike!!
Now 600. Rediculous.
I’m a physical gamer I got the contra 😅anniversary edition and the castle vania and doom also
I am waiting to receive the silver play button to do a proper appreciation and thank you video with a face reveal. This can take a few more weeks. Thank you for your support and stay awesome!
Did you use a different camera in this video? When stuff is moving it has a weird pixelated look.
It might have been because the camera is face down to the table and can't focus properly. I will consider changing the angle for next video thanks for letting me know!
I gotta pay more attention to Limited run and Super rare games had no idea Celeste had a physical release
What type of collector are you? The whole catalog or the rarest to trade catalog for them? Nintendo speaking oviii
I don't own a Switch (yet), but there's still more than enough in Nintendo's (and Sega's) library to keep ms occupied for several lifetimes.
I honestly don't understand why they decided to make limited releases of games for the Nintendo Swicth so early in it's life-cycle?
It is for all of the e-shop games that would have never got a physical release otherwise. Some of these are actually games that are older too from previous platforms
Physical copy all the way, old school baby
When's the face reveal?!?!
@@Wealth_Wisdom_Discernment he literally talked about it on his latest gamecube games video
I literally talk about this again at the end of this video see 20:44
How much money have you spent on your gaming room!! It looks great, I’m just wondering how much money (roughly) you’ve spent on making your room that amazing!
That's really really difficult to say because I've been collecting for over 10 years, I've being buying in lots and selling what I don't need, and I've been making RUclips videos. All in all I'm down a few thousand but that's it
Nintendo Collecting Really, I thought it’d be a lot more since it looks phenomenal, all of the TVs and shelves etc. Wow, I’d love to have a room like that someday, having a room like that must be amazing, having basically the entirety of Nintendo’s history right at your fingertips, can’t wait for the face reveal!! You’re one of my fav RUclipsrs to watch since you’re so wholesome and genuine, congrats on 100k (I know I’m a bit late but still)
@@time2e636 Thank you for saying so that's really nice of you. As a reminder the face reveal is going to happen when the silver play button award arrives which will still take several more weeks
Nintendo Collecting I can’t wait!!!
Why do the stores where I live never have there brand new games in plastic? It's really annoying because everyone is touching the games.
At least it's better for the environment
So let's figure this out there are over 20 Million Switch owners and only 4000 of these. This is something I hate about exclusives.
It really is tough. I think now that you can preorder things should be a bit easier
Ya know... The title kiiindaaa misled me... I thought it was gonna be about rare/limited games on all systems, not just be the name of the publishers...... HAHA!!! Still a great video tho!!
Sorry about that! The companies' titles are misleading this is true
Although it's fine i still enjoyed the video very much haha!! :))
I got lucky to get a copy of river city girls
I need to find that one
Shocked you didn’t show off Outlast
Just didn't have access to a copy
Maybe some games will be valuable. I dont see small indy games being worth to much but still awesome to have a physical copy. Like Ducktales on switch physical would probably be worth a lot cuz it's not available anymore!!
Interesting
You could get these digitally though if you can.
Correct - and for much less money but a lot of people want a physical copy
Omg 100,00 subs grate job dude. remember you said like 2 years ago you would do a face review
He said it like 7 years ago. I’d bet anything he lied.
Thank you! It's coming when the silver play button arrives 20:40
@@Wealth_Wisdom_Discernment how rude
Nintendo Collecting hey man, you outta be glad I’ve been subbed to you since 2013 on multiple channels and I actually watch most of your videos. Been watching long enough to see your Nintendo room in your parents basement and long before you got married. So you’re welcome. I’ve also seen multiple people ask in many videos when you’d do a face reveal and never saw you respond until now..... so if I thought you weren’t gonna hold up your end of what you said, that’s kinda your fault.
@@Wealth_Wisdom_Discernment thanks for your support. I talk about it in videos and reply to all the comments I can. Not much else I can do. Calling someone a liar on the internet that you have supported is a strange move
Cool
I think it is odd to ask others what you should collect, you should collect whatever you want to collect because it has value to you. If you are buying things just to buy them I personally do not see the point, but I know we are all different.
Usually I think this is true, but there are just so many good games out there now that I am unaware of so I am not afraid to ask for help
interlaced? huh
This vids prob gonna make the shoot em up sold out
Most are already sold out which sucks
i have human fall flat from super rare games but my dog somehow got to the cartridge at night and tried to eat it but In the end, he didn't eat the whole thing, and now it's just harder to put the cartridge in the switch. and ill say that is kind of my fault because i left the cartridge on the desk (with the rest of my switch cartridges) also for people who want to see how to cartridge looks like cdn.discordapp.com/attachments/543948959845187634/735612860885106728/image0.jpg
So no Freedom Planet? *Throws phone* *Jumps onto skateboard*
I will have to check that one out
@@NintendoCollecting Awesome!
So when is the face reveal?
When his sliver play button award comes, he mentions it like 3 times amung other videos!!
Alex Kidd in Miracle World DX will be the first game I buy from one of these companies.
I would LOVE a physical release of Bug Fables. Like you said, at least someone made a good Paper Mario style RPG
Please let us get cuphead physical
The developers mentioned that they planned on doing a physical after they finish with the DLC.
Blaster master zero games
LRG and SR games slongside all other company's like this suck. I like the idea of games being published like this but its often not worth the larger price tag.
the problem i have with it is that they're released in such limited quanties so it makes them hard to come by
@@derek-64 I understand that frustration too. On the company side of it, LRG and SRG want to sell every copy they make so they can make a profit. It is a slippery slope and difficult for them too
Why are 75% of all indie games pixelated?
Most of these are indie games, and a lot of indie developers like that art style.
a lot of people including myself are drawn to that graphic style.
Less expensive to make in terms of artistic direction and design
check out west of loathing is not pixelated at all, smooth lines 👍
You hit 100K subscribers, when is that face reveal happening?
