Programming this robot must be tough! Lots of interferences to deal with and cycle recovery would be hard. Great demo however. Really shows so fascinating capabilities.
is a great video because you can observe how it plays a mechanical arm, product of mechanical engineering inside the industry. simply the application of this robot accelerates a very efficient way the production of this assembly of chairs saving money, time and effort into the process that has to the assembly.
@SeanyPMac I dont know if programming this is hard work, or pure f*cking headache. 15 degrees of freedom??????? Although high level of dextry but can you imagine the hundreds of command lines? But I do agree it is amazing...
I'm sorry but this robot is way to slow if this is intended to replace a person. I knew of some Mexicans, each single-handedly that could whip that chair together in 1/3 the time it took this headless machine to work. However it's potential entertainment.

This demonstration was very impressive. How does the speed to assembly compare against existing production times for the chair assembly?
They they should have a machine vision system that determines any misalignment and the robot would readjust accordingly
Beautiful. But does it feel love and compassion?

Wonder what would happen if I moved the chair five inches.
are them important when you have to assembly something?
Чтобы этот робот правильно собрал стульчик, нужно точно и правильно разложить запчасти а если задом наперед или вверх ногами то ничего не соберет.
@Mr.Farma The robot would of course crash...but there is no problem to solve this situation with a vision system
It would take me probably 4 to 5 times as long to do this myself, not counting distractions and getting pissed at the screw driver. lol.
Вот если бы вокруг лежали ящики с запчастями и он от туда сам их доставал другое дело. Тут же все для него разложили на свои места!

Hanzhen harmonic drive gear , robot gear reducer, over 30 years experience
@hondica you are great :)
ack. first thing i thought about is how long it took to program the robot. oh wait thats why i am in school. guess i better get used to it.
looks and seems to operate better than Baxter
Fantástico
If robot doesn't detect the chair the program just stop and maybe it plays a twitter looking for help.
they might keep us as pets
PRICE???? more or less!!!!
