@PeterMurrayj I only 216 nominations rejected. I have roughly a 83% accepted rate. A lot of my rejected nominations got accepted when I resubmitted them and improved the nomination.
I've managed to get over 80 stops accepted into my local community since May. I like how they've seemed to speed up nominations since I last did it a few years ago. Plus having an the S17 map helps too
Hi there, do you know how you got the S17 map? I first had the one from a pokedaxi video about how to create a pokestop but that one doesnt seem to work anymore. I have wanted to use one to make sure most of my submission will actually become a pokestop or gym.
It does depend on where you are how useful an upgrade will be. Earlier this year I was on a cruise, and got off at a Caribbean cruise port that only had one pokestop. I'll likely never be back there again, but I like to be helpful, and the port, which was pretty new, had all sorts of eligible POIs: maps, statues, murals, fountains. I quickly dashed off a bunch of nominations (pro tip: wait to upload them later, then you don't have to worry about doing a perfect title and description right away; I go home or in this case to my cabin, upload them, go to Wayfarer, immediately put the nominations on "hold", and fine tune them at my leisure). Three were approved by the next day: AI, obviously. Three just sat there. I used an upgrade on one of them a month later. It still took months for it to get into and go through voting because clearly not a lot of people vote on that island. (It was eventually given a bogus rejection as being on private property--it was a mural on a public bathroom building in a cruise port!--I appealed, and when the appeal went through, by then, it was a duplicate! All those months, even with the upgrade, and someone else had cruised through, nominated it, and gotten the AI thumbs up in the meantime.) Still, it would probably still be waiting to go into voting half a year later if I hadn't used the upgrade.

A raid group I'm in went wild nominating all over town. But just cuz it's accepted doesn't mean it's gonna appear in PokemonGo. It could appear in a different Niantic game.

Crazy timing you making this video, I followed your original video and got a stop approved and active within a week. The only extra step was I review several daily leading up. Niantic gave me a free “boost” option for the first one.
Thank you for uploading this. I've recently been suspecting that a lot of my nominations have been getting AI-rejected -- since I feel like my nominations have met the criteria (most are murals, local small businesses, and historical places and plaques).
That’s quite strange that the AI have rejected those. I mean the local business seems like a thing the AI would reject, but the rest not. I literally nominated like 8 murals and all of them got AI accepted. Try again buddy, you will get those accepted
I think that almost all of mine that have gone through AI-fast have been approved, with the notable exception of one that I realized too late (and I was traveling, couldn't go back) I'd got my thumb in the photo.
As for local small businesses, are they places "people can gather"? Think restaurants, coffee shops, bookstores, game stores. Don't think, I dunno, hardware stores, laundries, pharmacies. Murals and historical plaques should be slam dunks though.
You can check the rejection email for "our team" to confirm the ML rejection. Also, improving how to submit is something the forum and the discord does.
I found a little park with a nice little route last week with no pokestops. There's about 7 exercise equipment spots though so I'm excited to try and create my first pokestops. Thank you for the videos!
Something you didn’t mention which is one of the biggest keys to a stop getting accepted/denied is its place on the cell grid. If there’s already a stop in a T17 it usually won’t get accepted and only 3 gyms are allowed per T14! It’s best when submitting pokestops to try and do it on the corner of a T 17, that way also it has a higher chance of becoming a gym. Another point you forgot to mention is the pokestop with the most “interactive points” becomes the gym. So the most pics taken and uploaded, likes, etc.
The place on the grid doesn't have anything to do with whether it gets accepted as a wayspot, just whether it'll appear in Pokemon Go if it does. It's still a good thing to note. I recently submitted a karate studio with a sign that hung over the sidewalk. If I'd taken the photo and made the pin from the west side of the sign, it would have shared a cell with an existing pokestop and not appeared in our game. I took the picture from the east side of the sign, it was just over the cell line, et voila. But it still would have been accepted as a *wayspot* if I'd pinned it from the west.

Yooo submitted 4 yesterday, 1 got accepted today and it turned to be a gym! Was hoping for a poke stop but I’ll def take this. The one that got passed was my more polished one, straight to the point in descriptions but friendly.
Thanks for not trying to show people how to game the system. Doing this right helps those of us who are really trying to make the best game board possible. Thanks for taking it seriously. I've done 60k reviews and have 2,260 accepted PoI.

Yeah but if you are not exactly at the location and it's across the street and you think you need to move it but you're not sure just leave it. Or if the location is perfectly fine, but you think just 1 mm to the left would be a little better. Just leave it . Sounds like something that could reset the process.
In my experience, upgrading subs have always had them declined.. ive resubmitted / appealed the declined subs and they were literally all accepted upon appeals. ..... took literally 2 years for some.
B.S lol everytime I have nominated it's always a no, I have nominated some cool stuff that counts, but yet I see double standard scenarios in the game, stuff like unsafe areas, and I also have seen a tree pokestop which I thought it wasn't allowed, and everytime I try to see other nominations it's always from Japan nominations and nothing from anywhere near me or Canada, so how do you change that so you can see where I live?
My experience with upgrade was really bad. It absolutely did not help me with speeding up with the reviews. Maybe it is different with this ai.. we will see..
Yeah I’ve gotten a good amount nominated in my area but there’s a few that just continuously get denied the one that pisses me off the most is a memorial bench dedicated to my great grandmother (she was 99 and passed just under a year ago). I can’t imagine why anyone would deny a stop especially when it fits all the criteria some people got nothing better to do
Is it in a cemetery or private property? Those would be some of the reasons they would be denied. But If it’s in a safe and public space, I wouldn’t see why it wouldn’t get accepted.

Thank you so much for making this video. Just last week I uploaded some info boards to get some pokestops. I used an upgrade and its still in queue, others got accepted without an upgrade but aren’t in the game and a week past. They show on the wayfarer map tho, so i assume they are in a different niantic game? 😕 I don’t understand it, hopefully i can do better with the help of this video
There's something called cells. Niantic uses a world map which is divided in those cells. In pokemon go, if there are two spots in the same cell, only one will appear in game. That's what seems to have happened to you. You should've studied it more before nomitating bruh. Btw, you can submit a request to change the spot location for it to be in an empty cell

There's a set of baseball fields near my house, but one of the fields doesn't have a stop. So I nominated it, but it got rejected for no reason whatsoever. Thanks Niantic

I can give you a top tip to sub stops. I usually sub about 30 stops at a time and I feel it flags my account with the bot to get insta approved the next day. It has happened to me atleast 10 times. Had over 140 stops approved in the last 6 months
Remember to make sure that if you're nominating your station, the location doesn't look to block the emergency drive in any way. That is, quite rightly, against the rules. (Imagine there's a four-alarm fire and a dozen players are blocking your driveway doing a raid!)
@@asympti2185 yeah. Good point. I made sure it was off to the side. We only house 1 engine and 2 ambulances at this station. I'd hope that if the bay doors open with lights and sirens people would move out of the way haha. But also I just want it to be a stop. Not a gym.
@@zammarelli it’s likely never going to be a stop. They were deemed to be obstructing emergency services a couple years ago. So anything that is near a fire station is not supposed to be approved. Make sure to check the AMA’s on the Niantic wayfarer boards
Hey Dax, would you be able to make a new video on how to get a map with the s cells since the one you talked about in a previous video doesn't work anymore. That might be because I'm doing something wrong but I've seen multiple people saying it on recent videos but also on that old video in which you talked about it.
When i first got to level 37, I kept trying to build poke stops on the local school. I submitted like 20 before realizing it's not allowed to be on school grounds. 💀💀
the adjust the pokestop position is abit of a double edged sword as the reviewer might mean well but they didnt consider that some nominators studied the s2 cells well enough to decide where to put some waypoint positions at because that is the deciding factor whether a rural place can have 1 stop and a gym or just 1 stop because the reviewer adjusted the location tag to be near the existing one in a similar cell....resulting in the nominee putting effort to take all those pics..plan the wayspot location to get no new stop in the area. Just 2 cents from a rural player here that managed to raise dozens of stops in my area but some didnt get the cut because reviewers adjusted it from the location i put it at.
My first submission was a couple months ago. Since then all the other stops I submitted were accepted or rejected, expect for that one. Ive tried to updrage it a month ago but its stuck in voting :/
I 10 nomination add in 16th August thes 5 are rejected and 4 are in queue and 1 is in voting, I use upgrade in 1 nomination but nothing. What i do now. Please reply.
I just got in a new city and there isnt so much pokestops there, i was looking for some ones to play here, i uploaded like 8 pokestops and only 2 got acepted, 1 is a gym in my house that i prefer a pokestop and the other one is not appearing in the game, the email saids that you need to wait 2 days but in a week there is nothing there, niantic meesed up that pokestop!
This happens to me a lot. I go on hikes and the trails have markers, signs, or mile markers every 100 yards or so. A 2.5 mile hike basically wipes out all of my nominations.
I have an idea why not have a discord to categorize things and descriptions that work so we can copy and paste then tweak/change the description of our submissions for quicker pokestops?
For Example a painting within the building then share what worked for them for example the titles and then tweak the description for photos just take similar photos as shown in discord and this will increase pokestops in the game last time I saw a pioneer chicken restaurant sign become a pokestop and it’s still active today if only we could share what works we’d have way more pokestops then we currently have

I had the gym next to my house randomly converted to a stop this week. I haven't found any explain for why this may be, thoughts? 🧐 For context it's been there for at least 5 years since I moved in, and is easily accessible by the public, and meets all other usual criteria.
Most likely, enough stops were removed in the larger cell (due to no longer existing or otherwise not meeting criteria) that it can't support as many gyms (up to three, depending on how many pokestops are in it) as there were before, and yours was the one that was demoted.
I think the rating system absolutely sucks. I have reviewed almost 600 nomination and I've been stuck on "fair" for well over a year (I honestly cant remember how long it's been at this point). My badge in game for agreements has been stuck at 261 since the beginning and everything I see online says that my rating will not change until the stops I reviewed go through but its been SO LONG this seems ridiculous! The only reason I want to review stops is to get that badge up higher but it refuses to update because the my rating has been stuck for God knows how long at this point.

ya it takes long as you don't get any of your reviews towards you agreements until they get resolved - you could review 10000 spots but if thier fate is not decided it won't go towards your badge
Personally I would rather have a bot approve or reject my nominations. Why? Stupid people have typically been the problem. Many don't take the time to know what really qualifies as POI or you get people who are super super strict. But the worst is the agreement badge. This badge will progress if people agree with your ruling. As a result, people will speed run the process and reject all nominations to get the badge quickly instead of taking the time to review fairly. Also, a bot is faster. So if it gets rejected quickly you know what to change, if you want to appeal or just resubmit altogether.

well thing is 1 stupid person doesn't reject or accept - it takes a majority so all the hundreds of people reiewing your stop would have to be stupid - but ya AI is better
Yes, the "community" on Wayfarer seemed to prefer rejecting nominations for randomly chosen reasons and then gaslighting everyone who complained in the forums.
It means they've been made available for people on Wayfarer to vote on. But it depends on how many people review nominations in your area, when there'll be enough votes made to come to an agreement.
Something else to note is that what is currently in the system does not reflect the current (or any) criteria. Poor reviewing and changing criteria can change what is in the system.
I'm at around 200 stops approved I used to travel all over my state for work so was able to submit stops in small towns, hope it has helped someone out
I have alot of accepted nominations but are still not in the game now 😂 And also, I have alot of rejected nominations deemed as duplicates but you can clearly see there are no poke stops in those areas 😂 What a joke

well its because there are proabably waystops there but you can't see them in game cause s2 cell rules - thats why its marked as a duplicate

Not good enough on giving away 30 free Pokeballs when you activate daily incense at the same time 0 to total of 29 any kinds of Pokeballs excluding Master Ball in players storage. In the situation, players have total of 30 any types of Pokeball, the players won't receive extra Pokeball. Then player activate daily incense, after some time for example no pokeball left but daily incense countdown at 5.00, some Pokeball used being missed and Pokemon broke out from Pokeball will result not enough Pokeball then no extra Pokeball give away. This is what not still good enough. Niantic should alter the current system at least giving away some Pokeballs by means of remaining daily incense countdown. For example above suggested to giving at least 10 Pokeballs to the players.
Im Rural i got one pokestop accepted, has to be the worst pokestop in history. It fills the criteria its a old gymnastics hall where you can go and play ball with others. But reason its bad its not a single pokemon spawn there 🤣

@@omgwerockhard The research about phone activity is more than 5 y.o. so idk if they still update that data. What you can do is check OSM for tags (construction, military base, etc.) and update if applicable.

If the location is fairly accurate and not way off, its best to leave location marker well and alone.
if it's not on the location, you should always move it to the location.

Is there a way to nominate a gym instead of a PokéStop? I’m confused about how they decide which to put in the game
It's usually random but I know there needs to be certain about pokestops in a certain cell block area for a stop to become a gym

Anytime I use upgrade a nomination that doesn't have it goes first and it seems like it takes even longer.
Exactly. The normal ones take shorter time to be reviewed than the upgraded ones

You can submit multiple fields so long as they are marked as Field #1, #2, etc

I can give you a top tip to sub stops. I usually sub about 30 stops at a time and I feel it flags my account with the bot to get insta approved the next day.
It has happened to me atleast 10 times.
Had over 140 stops approved in the last 6 months
So basically I’m saying max out your subs in one day and you will get your account flagged and insta approved.

Why are some fire stations stops or gyms but when I nominate one it gets rejected. I'm a firefighter and want to play in my down time at work
I would just keep nominating it. It should be accepted. I just submitted my 3rd nomination on this one spot hoping that it gets accepted. Keep trying!
Remember to make sure that if you're nominating your station, the location doesn't look to block the emergency drive in any way. That is, quite rightly, against the rules. (Imagine there's a four-alarm fire and a dozen players are blocking your driveway doing a raid!)
@@asympti2185 yeah. Good point. I made sure it was off to the side. We only house 1 engine and 2 ambulances at this station. I'd hope that if the bay doors open with lights and sirens people would move out of the way haha. But also I just want it to be a stop. Not a gym.
@@zammarelli it’s likely never going to be a stop. They were deemed to be obstructing emergency services a couple years ago. So anything that is near a fire station is not supposed to be approved. Make sure to check the AMA’s on the Niantic wayfarer boards

Hey Dax, would you be able to make a new video on how to get a map with the s cells since the one you talked about in a previous video doesn't work anymore. That might be because I'm doing something wrong but I've seen multiple people saying it on recent videos but also on that old video in which you talked about it.
The old IITC doesn't support the plug-ins anymore. You can get ones that work on F-Droid, this can be read from the download website.

the adjust the pokestop position is abit of a double edged sword as the reviewer might mean well but they didnt consider that some nominators studied the s2 cells well enough to decide where to put some waypoint positions at because that is the deciding factor whether a rural place can have 1 stop and a gym or just 1 stop because the reviewer adjusted the location tag to be near the existing one in a similar cell....resulting in the nominee putting effort to take all those pics..plan the wayspot location to get no new stop in the area. Just 2 cents from a rural player here that managed to raise dozens of stops in my area but some didnt get the cut because reviewers adjusted it from the location i put it at.

I just got in a new city and there isnt so much pokestops there, i was looking for some ones to play here, i uploaded like 8 pokestops and only 2 got acepted, 1 is a gym in my house that i prefer a pokestop and the other one is not appearing in the game, the email saids that you need to wait 2 days but in a week there is nothing there, niantic meesed up that pokestop!

I used to get "review capped" because I nominated stuff too fast.
This happens to me a lot. I go on hikes and the trails have markers, signs, or mile markers every 100 yards or so. A 2.5 mile hike basically wipes out all of my nominations.

I have an idea why not have a discord to categorize things and descriptions that work so we can copy and paste then tweak/change the description of our submissions for quicker pokestops?
For Example a painting within the building then share what worked for them for example the titles and then tweak the description for photos just take similar photos as shown in discord and this will increase pokestops in the game last time I saw a pioneer chicken restaurant sign become a pokestop and it’s still active today if only we could share what works we’d have way more pokestops then we currently have

I had the gym next to my house randomly converted to a stop this week. I haven't found any explain for why this may be, thoughts? 🧐
For context it's been there for at least 5 years since I moved in, and is easily accessible by the public, and meets all other usual criteria.

Most likely, enough stops were removed in the larger cell (due to no longer existing or otherwise not meeting criteria) that it can't support as many gyms (up to three, depending on how many pokestops are in it) as there were before, and yours was the one that was demoted.
A property owner/manager likely asked for it to be demoted. Or cell shenanigans.
I dont have any problems with stops and gyms i have a problem getting routes approved.
Only if I had good places like that bc around me there is nothing here at all and I wish there was more😢😢😢

I think the rating system absolutely sucks. I have reviewed almost 600 nomination and I've been stuck on "fair" for well over a year (I honestly cant remember how long it's been at this point). My badge in game for agreements has been stuck at 261 since the beginning and everything I see online says that my rating will not change until the stops I reviewed go through but its been SO LONG this seems ridiculous! The only reason I want to review stops is to get that badge up higher but it refuses to update because the my rating has been stuck for God knows how long at this point.
ya it takes long as you don't get any of your reviews towards you agreements until they get resolved - you could review 10000 spots but if thier fate is not decided it won't go towards your badge

Personally I would rather have a bot approve or reject my nominations. Why? Stupid people have typically been the problem. Many don't take the time to know what really qualifies as POI or you get people who are super super strict. But the worst is the agreement badge. This badge will progress if people agree with your ruling. As a result, people will speed run the process and reject all nominations to get the badge quickly instead of taking the time to review fairly.
Also, a bot is faster. So if it gets rejected quickly you know what to change, if you want to appeal or just resubmit altogether.
well thing is 1 stupid person doesn't reject or accept - it takes a majority so all the hundreds of people reiewing your stop would have to be stupid - but ya AI is better
Yes, the "community" on Wayfarer seemed to prefer rejecting nominations for randomly chosen reasons and then gaslighting everyone who complained in the forums.

It means they've been made available for people on Wayfarer to vote on. But it depends on how many people review nominations in your area, when there'll be enough votes made to come to an agreement.

Something else to note is that what is currently in the system does not reflect the current (or any) criteria. Poor reviewing and changing criteria can change what is in the system.
I'm at around 200 stops approved
I used to travel all over my state for work so was able to submit stops in small towns, hope it has helped someone out

Not good enough on giving away 30 free Pokeballs when you activate daily incense at the same time 0 to total of 29 any kinds of Pokeballs excluding Master Ball in players storage.
In the situation, players have total of 30 any types of Pokeball, the players won't receive extra Pokeball.
Then player activate daily incense, after some time for example no pokeball left but daily incense countdown at 5.00, some Pokeball used being missed and Pokemon broke out from Pokeball will result not enough Pokeball then no extra Pokeball give away. This is what not still good enough.
Niantic should alter the current system at least giving away some Pokeballs by means of remaining daily incense countdown. For example above suggested to giving at least 10 Pokeballs to the players.

Im Rural i got one pokestop accepted, has to be the worst pokestop in history. It fills the criteria its a old gymnastics hall where you can go and play ball with others. But reason its bad its not a single pokemon spawn there 🤣
There might be some tag in other maps that prevent spawns.

@@omgwerockhard Phone activity affects spawns too. But for no spawns, the OSM layer is probably still in consttuction.

@@omgwerockhard The research about phone activity is more than 5 y.o. so idk if they still update that data. What you can do is check OSM for tags (construction, military base, etc.) and update if applicable.
