It's Lord of Ring : Gollum, according to a post the developers made at one point where they misspelled "Lord of the Rings" as "Lord of Ring"

The low level fatal error is caused by your GPU being unable to render the game. Line 168 means the game files are corrupt. Swimming flowers corrupted the game files
What this makes Doki Doki literature club looks like a baby game in comparison to how terrifying this game is
Yes, the specific error seen here is "DXGI_ERROR_DEVICE_HUNG" leading to "DXGI_ERROR_DEVICE_REMOVED". This means that some instruction the game sent to the graphics card made the card lock up and hang for a really long time, so Windows took the graphics card away from the game and told it to try again.
One note though, the file name and line number just tell the devs where in their code the bad instruction happened. It doesn't mean that the code files are corrupt.

@@lindsayshanks7555 From where we're sitting? No way, not without some FBI-grade decompilation work. The line number is for the source code on the dev's computer-- we only have the compiled binary.
Think of it like trying to fix a store-bought cake, and all you know is that the baker screwed up on step 168. This information will not be very helpful to you without access to the recipe.
I would argue that Gollum himself is the Freddy in this game
He broke way more things than the flowers did

I honestly cannot believe this game is real. Genuinely the only game since Security Breach that feels expressly made for Backseat with how glitchy and broken it is.

I belive the games code was based of tribes of midgard, which is ENTIRELY separate from whatever gollum is.

There's something... *poetic* about swim in air flowers being the thing to brick your game, when murdering his friend by the river, in the flowerbeds is what bricked Gollum's mind... Truly the most way of story telling of all time~

not only is the game bad but it costs 50 dollars and you can’t even complete it. Truly one of the games of all time
Honestly, some of those gollum-sona designs were genuinely really cool, especially the sort of "aquatic" design of that first one. Props to the folks who drew them, you somehow managed to take a creature as irreparably repugnant as gollum and actually make something pretty nice out of it.

You know it’s bad when Backseat gets tired of the constant barrage of glitches
you know it’s even worse when backseat attempts to *fix* the game
When a game's level progression is so well fortified that if you try to bypass a single checkpoint, it breaks the entire game to prevent you from progressing
Funnily enough, Halo does the same thing. Skip a load zone, usually the entire mission is soft locked
Of course there it's much harder to do on accident and Halo is actually fun and polished tho

Half of this game was made in 2005 forgotten about, someone found the file and just said “we should probably finish this”
They made the game, corrupted it, gave up trying to fix it, forgot about it, then rediscovered it and released it

Yeah, it's perfectly legal. At the end of the day, it is the consumers fault for buying the game. (Plus, if it wasn't legal the Security Breach devs probably would've been sued by now.)

The best part about the Tribes of Midgard thing is that game was made and published by completely different studios. Best guess of how that happened: the devs gutted Tribes to use its engine but forgot to alter the identifying data. It's like stealing a car without filing the serial numbers; doesn't matter how much you change the rest of it, it's still identifiable.
i find it hilarious that every playthrough i have seen so far did not have a single bug that was also in the other playthroughs. this game is very.... unique, i guess.

Having watched the livestream I'm disappointed at the lack of Gollum hair physics appreciation, the BEST feature in the game.

This is where the famous saying; "if it ain't broke, don't fix it" follows the complete opposite rule, and instead becomes "it's clearly broken, don't bother fixing it".
I feel like he could just play the game without trying to break it and it will break on its own.

This game feels like it was never playtested. It’s impossible to miss a glitch while playing it.
Don't blame the playtesters, if it's in that state it means that the QA team reported the bugs and they were deemed "non-critical", some programmer and/or exec up the chain decided it didn't need fixing or they didn't want to delay it to find and fix it, and QA is the one getting ripped a new one for the incompetence of either the devs or the bigwigs.

Backseat streams, the king of game breaking. Give him a game and he'll undoubtedly find a way to absolutely destroy it with glitches.
the tribes of midgard thing with the filename is understandable ever so slightly since its impossible to change ue project names after you make them. for example Hydroneer is called "Mining" and as you know fnaf:sb is called "fnaf9"

Not only is LotR: Gollum is broke as hell, but Vinny played the game... and his Passive effect triggered in mere seconds.

Also, I think you should set up a list of "Golden Freddies," in which a Freddy discovered in a game contains more breaking power than any typical Freddy.
