      Chiropractic are not doctor/physicians any more than PhD in literature, dentists, chemists, psychologists are. Chiropractic is combination masseuse/snake oil sales. In other countries (Canada) they are not allowed to use doctor to avoid confusion. Chiropractic has no proven benefit and only exists because 90% of all back pain gets better in a couple weeks, no matter what you do. It is also responsible for a number of deaths from the non benefit manipulations, as it is part of the show.

      Let's see your data showing all these deaths... There's an abundance of research showing extremely favorable results for chiropractic care as an initial treatment approach for NMSK conditions.

      That’s not true, in the U.S. they are considered Doctors of Chiropractic medicine and go to a 4-5 year medical school after their bachelors degree. They obtain further Diplomates and certifications once they are licensed doctors to specialize. In general they have advanced knowledge of the Neuromusculoskeletal system which can effect your visceral systems. Their course loads are equivalent to that of an M.D. and they have to pass 4 Boards.

      @@Itried20takennames why are they called chiropractic physicians in my state? Medicare pays all my chiro bills, too. US military recognizes them as physicians as well. Get with the times.

      @@lukedenke2412 Clearly flawed logic. I'd rather take my chances with medical mishaps than go to something utterly useless like a "spinal manipulation". Seriously, why do you need an x-ray for posture? You're exposing patients to unnecessary doses of radiation just for some low value investigation and non-specific treatment.

      Firstly, they are doctors. They're doctors of the nervous system. They graduate with a doctorate in chiropractic, and that's not only in Canada. They aren't Medical Doctors, but they're doctors nonetheless. The term doctor is used in several terms like the ones you described. Each version requires a lot of schooling and education. Good chiropractors are well-informed, can reduce pain, and promote a healthy nervous system in the long run. Adjustments if done properly have significant benefits, especially for people with extreme misalignment and imbalance. And responsible for deaths? Medical doctors can kill people too. They have to be very careful with numbers in dosages. One decimal point off, and you're 10x over or under the recommended dosage. Medicine can reduce symptoms, but for the long term, a good chiropractor will do you wonders.

    Chiropractors use clock hours not credit hours, like real doctors, to measure chiro school.
    Most schools require 4,200 clock hours to complete the program, this is a false equivalency.
    Assuming a person goes to chiro school full time, 40 hours a week, 50 weeks a year, 2 weeks’ vacation per year.
    4200/40 hour is 105 weeks.
    105/50 weeks is 2.1 work years, Of course, you spread that out over 4 years

    • @jp7056
      @jp7056 4 года назад +2

      No they actually use real credit hours like any other university or college program. Chiropractic schools are accredited just like any other program and in order to use any type of financial aid you must be accredited like any other school. The 4200 number you mention must be a comparison of contact hours, because there's no way any program could do 1000+ credit hours in a year.

I have professors at my chiropractic medical school that do seminars for both M.D. & D.C. programs to help them pass boards.
