Great video!!! That New Flyer is so nice and clean!! Shields for bus drivers in America are trash though..if people want to assault us..they can still get to us. I love how London buses have the full enclosure! Anyway..I’ll definitely be watching more videos. I’m from Milwaukee WI, so I’ve been to Chicago a lot but never got to ride CTA or PACE! One day I will though! Great video again!!
Wow, that's nice that PACE are letting these Xclesiors out because we only got CNG's at South Division. I would love to drive those buses in the future.
I’m a n Illinois native. They have the same buses on most of the DART Bus routes as well here in Dallas. They just don’t have a rear window like these do! Made by New Flyer and all!
same with New York
D.C. Metro has Rear Windows on its New Flyer Busses.
It would be nice if Pace had order some more New Flyer XD40 buses for my garage in Lake County IL. My garage have mostly 40 foot ElDorado National Axess BRT diesels. I would like to have a drive on these buses myself.
Here in Minnesota you don't have to pay currently. We also have some of those buses here in St. Paul but I haven't seen or been on one in years, here their rare. Last time I seen one it was on the 21A route by the Walmart in the midway.
Very nice video. I miss being in Chicago.
Interesting.....In a nice way, that is-Lol. I wonder if New Flyer Xcelsiors where ordered for assignment to CTA?
With the Pace bus stop signs they don’t tell you what direction the bus is heading (314 North to lake or whatever)?
ZF Ecolife gearbox fitted to this.. Can’t lie major difference in quietness
It's actually an Allison
It's been 3 years since those buses debuted.
Route 314 Northbound to Lake/Ridgeland Green Line CTA Station
Route 314 Southbound to Morton college
Pace New Flyers don't have the Rear AVA Monitor Screen Like L.A. Metro has on its 900 New Flyer Busses Delivered between 2014 /16, Metro has the Wi-Fi & USB Ports on the New Flyer Artics (8700/8764, the 1st 65 Artics Delivered 2018/19) & the Just Delivered Additional 70 New Flyer Artics (8765-8834) this Xmas, as Well as the 40 New Flyer BEB Artics for the G Line here in the Valley (19500 Series).
The Wi-Fi/ USB Ports are Also on the 300+ El Dorado Busses that Metro got in 2019/20 also.
The 900 Metro New Flyers (5600-6149 & 3850/4199) Just have Wi-Fi Only!
& L.A. Metro Busses Since 2014 have the Silver Headsigns.
Nice video... Nice bus 🚍.

I seen those before at pulaski terminal for 53 and 53A going to green line
I wish my city had some Xcelsiors

@cruz carchevy Just over 330 miles
What’s the engine/power train?
They look like the NYC buses for some reason.
Wow these look nice 👌, but I'm going to be honest, not really a fan of the full length rear destination sign in the back window. I mean the eldorados you guys have can pull them off because there's no window and the rear is meant for them. But compared to the regular setup on rear signs on the XD40'S. This doesn't look right to me... sorry 😬. Other than that , nice work 👍
Damn I miss the nabi buses these look like the data buses too much
Toronto got those too, but *electric*.
Not sure how those electric vehicles can handle the winter and ice. Seems to me like combustion is the way to go for getting through the snow
@@Mrcharles. it depends on the charging infrastructure. speaking of, the holdup on northwest being moved down wolf road is depending on if they are going to electric or gas.
Cleanest bus I ever did see. I take the 80 regularly and it's always scummy...
Ngl, I’m not a fan of these buses not having pull cords for stop requests. If a bus ever gets crowded and you’re seated away from a stop button, you’re s.o.l. unless someone else (closer to the button) is getting off at the same stop as you.
Not if every pole has a stop request button.
It's only gonna get worse!
