I think so. The reason Kayce went in so hot and heavy with the threats but not killing is he can’t back up his claims easily. He doesn’t have the resources or “friends” he says he has whereas Grant could send 3 fully armed hit squads from a remote lodge in Switzerland safe with his family before Kayce even knew it. It was an shock and awe decision not functional.
I don’t think so. I think that arc is finished. I’m looking for them to focus on the future of the ranch for the last two episodes. Along with the fate of Jaime.
and His head will be hers. I wouldn't call her a bully, she is a loyalist to a fault. Jaime knew what he did to her was absolutely wrong when he took her to the abortion clinic but he never spoke up, so you make your bed and lie in it.
What I don’t understand about this plot point of inheritance tax is John Dutton thought he was dying when he had that ulcer he thought was cancer in the first season but we’re expected to believe he didn’t already plan for this tax? He was a guy that thought ahead and same with Beth, so I’m not seeing it.
There’s no federal or Montana inheritance taxes. There would be no tax on a straight inheritance. The issue is the eminent domain buying the land at a certain value and the IRS valuing the land for estate taxes at a different value. The state will buy it at a lesser value than the IRS appraises it for. At least that’s what the show is implying. I’m not an estate cpa or attorney, so I’m not sure how real that is. Usually eminent domain gives FMV to whoever they’re taking the land from. Estates pay income taxes on any income, just like any person on corporation would, in this case selling the land through eminent domain is income. Probably a lot of cap gains since they had the land for 7 generations.
Jamie never got a fair shake, he was way too young to deal with Beth's abortion issue and she's never looked at it that way, even with now being a mother figure to a young man. Jamie should become Governor and make a law that forbids what happened to Beth to ever happen again.
I think any culmination between Jamie and Beth will be handled before the finale, or at the very beginning of the finale. If he doesn't kill himself, he will be killed. There has been NO service for John D yet, body still being held. His funeral will be the ultimate setting for transition for the series AND for The Land.. Interesting to see Beth, so far, move into a softer matriarch type role in this past episode. Kayce is the driver of all final action, and Beth will assist. I believe that once the tie between Sarah's hit-for-hire and her service to Market Equities surfaces, that the eyes of the public will not allow that commercial deal to move through. Look for the senator to step in as well against commercial development. Beth will arrange private capital for The Tribe, and they will purchase most, if not all of Yellowstone. Kayce driving, Tate is the bridge between White and Indian. The Indians will own the land, it's what all of the series have actually been about in the end--Duttons along for the ride as caretakers--it is all about The Land.
I think Rip may finally learn what Jamie did to Beth and will kill Jamie (or drive Jamie to kill himself), with Beth watching it all go down. Smiling. I do think there is obvious connection where Tate being partial NA and the land going back to the Tribe. Seems way too obvious. Why not cede the land to the trust prior and have it vest when Tate turns 18. Become tribal land.

He has always fought becoming his father and wanted separation. I think with Monica gone there is nothing stopping him from diving head first into the operation

Jimmy will save the ranch by showing the Dutton horses in a show and Beth will open the slaughter house/beef packing plant that she started thinking about before.
Here is what is going to happen. The people that stole Tate’s dinosaur get caught selling it to a museum. That gets Kayce a few million in working capital for now. Market Equities sends another team after everyone at the ranch. Grant refuses to be involved because of the threat from Kayce. A kid overhears the plot and warns Kayce. That kid is the lug nut kid. Kayce, some of his SEAL friends, the cowboys and MO form an ambush and vanquish them all. The guy who Grant was the Governor. Rip takes the Gov to the Train Station. There is a major fire in the train station canyon which turns all the bodies to dust. Rainwater covers for the Dutton’s by saying the canyon was an ancient tribal burial ground. Summer shows up pregnant with John’s kid. This causes Kayce to think he must continue the ranch. Summer gets involved with Walker and Lloyd becomes a foreman under Rip. Rip gives Lloyd the foreman’s house and Lloyd and Teeter get together. Market Equities is found to be complicit in John’s death and settle for billions. Beth opens a meat and other Yellowstone products plant on the res and employs thousands of native Americans. Claire wins the special election and becomes the next Governor. There is a flashback to 1883 where two Indians are laughing about the 7 generation prediction. They say the Chief is no better at predicting the future than he is at medicine. In the closing scene, Kayce takes John’s rifle and kills the wolf.
Here is my theory! In the end, Jamie gets it, but a video comes out where John and Jamie sit together and figure out that the only way to save the ranch is to kill John. They tell Beth and Rip that it has to be done etc. Before the video is seen, Rip kills Jamie, and Beth cries because Jamie is a good guy ultimately.
