    听过一个说法,全世界只有华人最喜欢把新鲜食材晒干再泡发来做菜,明明有新鲜的蚝,但煮汤就一定要用干的,明明有新鲜的鱼,但晒干的咸鱼更香,明明有新鲜的萝卜,但晒干的菜圃更咸香。中华美食博大精深。 调味料不止是盐和胡椒,更包括各种的干货提鲜增香。

    In my village we call that black fruit kelamu,we cook with pouring hot boiling water and wait 20-25 minute and it done ready to eat, the fruit taste so creamy and little bit sweet sour..

    I worry for the Chinese people in the mainland, with all the recent reports of corruption in the food industry, the toxins, pollution, chemicals, fraudulent practices, contaminated ground water, and the gutter oil scandals....what was the best and freshest tasting cuisine, is being threatened by criminal practices and policies. Many of the exports are dangerous and I no longer buy them, or they are banned entry. May the stay safe and healthy and not allow the destruction of their food chain and industry. Cantonese cuisine is incredible. And I'm not saying that because I'm Cantonese. :)
