Unless you're like me and trained up a full party to their mid 20s, he still put up quite a challenge but I was able to defeat him and get some fourth wall breaking lol
@@pkmntrainerred4643 I used the rare candy hack to beat Red. Oh wow, 4 comments on this video. I hadn't even noticed. I have other Pokemon videos on this channel. Even a video of me crossing into the Smash Bros universe called Multiverse. I kind of wish you could fight the Elite Four in the Team Rocket game.
Honestly, this is the definitive Red theme for me. The one that he has just doesn't fit him as well as it does Lance, the grand and imposing dragon master. This theme is more subtly menacing, with a hint at Red's continual growth in strength.
To me, it works perfectly for a mystery vibe. Sure, this is a pokémon battle, but you feel as if there was something wrong. Something missing. "How is this kid so strong?", "Why doesn't he say anything?". Of course, we know he wins because that's how the game goes. But for our character, they don't know that, hence why this theme works so well.
I think the official one works well for the mountain fight, it feels like you’re facing the ultimate challenge. This one with like you said the subtle menace, feels like you’re an NPC about to get beat by the main character
At this point, you realize that you've made a terrible career choice.
LOL yes! Red is so badass, even in Pokemon Ultra Moon, I almost lost to him: ruclips.net/video/p9_lmrmD184/видео.html

@@master-a8450Dat shameless plug, though.
That fight was really a punch in the gut
My Gengar 1 shot everything, haha. Although I did train ev's at 8x speed at lavender.
@@michaelbread5906 how did you got to lavender?
William Torres latest version of the game, that’s how. You are supposed to lose your first boss battle, and the rest you have to win.

One of the best
I hear that motif of the Johto Champion theme. It's subtle, but you can't un-hear it. Fitting, seeing as this is Red we're fighting
Really wished they had rendered this track with a gba soundfont instead of just playing the midi on windows
Is there a way to get a gsf file with the soundtrack somewhere?
I don't know, it's gameboy. And it's a hacked gameboy.
Still goes hard
