Christian Eriksen: Inter Milan terminate Danish midfielder's contract by mutual consent
Christian Eriksen is prohibited from playing in Italy with an implantable cardioverter-defibrillator due to local health regulations; he could continue his career in another country where the rules are different after his contract at Inter Milan was terminated
Inter Milan have terminated midfielder Christian Eriksen's contract after the Denmark international was suspended from playing due to having a cardiac device fitted.
Eriksen, 29, has not played since suffering a cardiac arrest during Denmark's opening game of the European Championship against Finland in June and receiving life-saving treatment on the pitch.
The 29-year-old is prohibited from playing in Italy with an implantable cardioverter-defibrillator due to local health regulations. But he could continue his career in another country where the rules are different.
"The club and the entire Nerazzurri family wish Christian all the very best for his future," Inter said in a statement.
Thankfully, he survived & made a wonderful recovery!!

12 июня 2021 весь футбольный мир был в шоке. В матче чемпионата Европы Дания - Финляндия капитан датчан Кристиан Эриксен упал на газон и не поднялся. Кадры, как футболиста возвращали с того света в окружении стоящих стеной одноклубников облетели весь мир - это было реально страшно.
Эриксена удалось спасти - его сердце остановилось на 9 минут, и только своевременная помощь врачей прямо на поле спасла ему жизнь. «Черт, мне всего 29 лет», - первые слова, которые Кристиан произнес, вернувшись к жизни. Тогда казалось, что на его спортивной карьере поставлен жирный крест.
Но вот прошло 9 месяцев, и Эриксен снова в топе. 26 марта он забил гол Нидерландам за сборную, а спустя 3 дня огорчил уже Сербию. Притом забил Эриксен на том самом стадионе Копенгагена, на котором летом чуть не расстался с жизнью. Это было очень красиво.

I can't explain it but to see where this happened to Christian on the field, and Damars collapse on the field and that BOTH of their hearts stopped beating for NINE MINUTES, Life is so much bigger than Football and no matter where your from in this world, YOUR LIFE MATTERS! So happy to hear that bc of timely CPR n prayers from his family, friends, n fans in the sports world he was able to make a full recovery and go on to play. I was there 🥺 Words can’t describe how awful it was to experience this. Everything changed within a few seconds and we all had our hearts in our throats. Finnish football fans showed their massive support during the break, but the game shouldn’t have continued in my opinion. Gladly the hospital was just next door, so they didn’t have to drive far.

The entire battalion immediately, like robots and without being commanded surrounded the paramedics immediately. The old guy died but I can tell you I was only a few meters away and not even a whisper could escape that circle of men.

I remember watching this when it happened,i honestly dont know how the denmark players found the strength to continue in the tournament,glad to see christian ericson made a full recovery,as a scotsman it brought back memories of a world cup qualifier between scotland and wales,which scotland won i was celebrating like crazy for about 10 minutes ,then everything changed,we got the news that scotlands legendary manager jock stein collapsed and died ,i was do shocked and upset,end i think every scots fan would rather have lost the game that night and big jock was still here,the man was a footballing legend,becoming the first british manager to win the european cup and not only that but with the whole team being born within 15 miles of celtic park,this will never be done again r.i.p jock stein
