Whoever returned the blue breville toaster probably didn't read the instructions properly. We have one and the right side one always has to be used. So if your toasting 2 pieces of bread they have to be toasted on the right side. You only use the left side if your toasting 3/4 slices. If that makes any sense at all x

Lol my parents have this one and I have been wondering why on earth they don’t just buy a new working toaster. I thought half of it was broken 😂😂😂
We have one, one side doesn't work because my son tried to toast crispbreads in it and it set on fire. Thankfully I was nearby as my partner was laughing too much to deal with it LOL

I don't get the point. If you are one to have icky feelings about items that would be already used so as to know if they even work or not (obviously, how else would they know their state?) , why take such items as returns and spend a bomb on them? I mean even £330 is a bomb when you could have easily purchased those items new, considering the fuss.
In any case you are going to buy new items for your new kitchen.
Probs more so for video content. It's a funny thing to do. I wouldn't want to have to store it all or have to dispose of it if broken!
I really want to do this but I know my hubby would freak out! I reckon the people who returned the blue double toaster didn’t realise you couldn’t just put the left side down, you have to do the right first - I thought that was common knowledge!
I have the same toaster but mine's white and rose gold and noticed this when I first got it! Haha.
That was a very exciting video and I’m glad you tried it out. Sorry it didn’t turn out the way you expected tho 😔😔 However the idea was so fun maybe try a different category of items that might change the luck. Lots of love 💕💕💕💕

Hi Emily ☺️ your blue Breville toaster is working fine.... I've a Breville toaster and the left side only staying down when the right side is down! The right side is the main one! So if you only need two slices just use the right side 🙂 hope this helps x

That blue tester is like mine and if you only press the left side it won't stay you have to put the right one down as well can see there confusion lol

Love this!! If you have a spare kettle we are in such need of a kettle! Mum of three boys here, we just moved counties to Devon and buying a new kettle is low in the priority list but I love my tea and it’s depressing making tea with our old scabby one! Xxx
Love the video. I don’t think this is Amazon return. This is Argos returns, we put the yellow stickers when customers return “damaged” items
This was really interesting. As a business standpoint, Amazon was relieved from scraping all this land fill material and allowed someone else to take over that responsibility. Ugh. It makes me sick to think of all these appliances in a land fill. I would not do it again. Allow Amazon - with all their tax breaks - deal with their 'crap'.
But what if some items can be saved from landfill by this process?

Best thing there… rice cooker. Throw in some frozen mixed veggies and a vegetable stock cube for perfect savoury rice every time and refrigerate your extra. Meal times just become a simple choice of cooking something to go with it easy as pie.
We bought one a few years ago. Mt hubby "repaired" a sharp vacuum, and irobot. We almost broke even reselling used items considering we took a few for ourselves. Those boxes are definitely hit and miss.

Hi Emily , it is a xx shame this palette didn’t work out for you.
I have seen some other You Tubers buy a John Lewis Returns palette and had more luck with that as I work for Waitrose and John Lewis is my work place as well and we refund for any excuse . So perhaps you could try a John Lewis returns palette . I am sure you would get a coffee maker in that one . Good Luck .

I love our rice cooker it goes on at least twice a week!! Having just moved from a small flat where we never had space for any kitchen appliances to a 3 bed house! I would really love a blender to make some quick on the go breakfasts for work!

Pretty sure that scaled up kettle had a new identical replacement bought for it and then the old one was returned in its place.
I’m moving house next week 😆 right on school holidays and would love a new kettle and toaster as we have had our current ones since we moved on this house 7 years ago! Please x

I feel like you should try the toasters that say they only work in one side. That happened to me and it’s just because you have to use a specific side unless you’re doing all 4 slices. So if the people tried it on the wrong side once it wouldn’t work.

I have that rice cooker! If you put the pot in turn it slightly so it engages with heat element then it will switch to the || heat on left, says it in manual too, works very well :)
No idea why I want to know, but did they answer your email?! I would be disappointed too. Glad you managed to find homes for the other appliances, that makes it much more worthwhile.

Regarding the blue breville toaster - the left side does not go down because you have to use the right side and when you want to toast 4 toasts then press down on the right side first and then the left, hope that explains it lol i have a breville toaster in black and I figured that out myself ☺️
Ooh! Value an honest unboxing. We have a (working!) black version of the blue bee like toaster. It is a little tricky to clean but we got it as a which? Recommended one for even and decent toasting… I’m 29 but it’s the best toaster I’ve ever had which maybe isn’t saying much but I genuinely really appreciate its reliable toastiness 🤣

This was quite a fun video! I had no idea amazon did these palettes. I don't think I'm brave enough to order one and my husband would not approve lol. Shame about the coffee machines. We've got a delonghi coffee machine and it's fab. We've also got one of those breville toasters and you always have to push the right side down first and then push the left side down.

Didn’t expect this😯. Sorry for the disappointment. I bought a pallet also but it was a year ago maybe longer, we managed to sell some stuff in carboot sale but for a fraction of the price. The only thing we kept was a microwave which was new and works wonderful the rest was pretty much rubbish. No surprise that we didn’t any profit, luckily it wasn’t such a big loss.
Probably try from John Lewis but don’t get your hopes up, they have bigger brands and you maybeee be able to sell some ( if they are not damaged), good luck

None of that is from Amazon that's a return pallet from Argos. Fun fact the company that sells these pallets actually removes anything of any decent value
Hi Emily , you look really well . I think sometimes with these pallets they can be hit and miss , sometimes your lucky and get some good things and sometimes it can be rubbish. Im happy you was able to give to womens refuge xx
People are so funny about used things. Have you never ordered toast from a restaurant? That toast was made in a toaster that was used by someone else too and you didn’t get sick. Clean the toaster and use it. It’s a beautiful toaster you’ll have saved it from a landfill.
I grew up poor so we bought almost nothing new. I learned that literally everything can be cleaned and if you’re whiling to do a little work literally anything can be had for less than full price.
Love the idea of a mini chopper. Would save so much time preparing food

So funny to watch. Yes, people tell fibs about the reasons for returns as often they just change their minds after use. Left side toaster not staying down... :) THAT'S BECAUSE IT WILL ONLY STAY DOWN IF YOU ARE USING THE RIGHT SIDE AT THE SAME TIME.. :) :)
If you have insurance you can exchange until that ends and sometimes you can buy insurance for 1-5 years.

Returned goods should be listed differently to returned under guarantee returns which is usually the difference between gambling and being taken for a mug Rubbish collector. Sometimes I wonder whether it is legal to resell or transport in normal transport vehicles, food or personnel items owing to contamination and health concerns. Also worth noting is that if there are multiple items the same then they have been on offer or a bad line.
