keep posting this kind of stuff and we'll watch.
Had the exact same issue. Tried everything you did. So now we have to replace it.
Getting the efi version next year. Avoiding the carb hassle.
My son kayo fox 70 was having issues and what I found was they set the carb for a certain elevation and there is no way to adjust it so they make you think. There is a plug on the carb and if you drill and pop out the plug there is a adj screw behind it. Thing runs great now.
I got fox 70cc for my daughter 2.5 years ago I did have a little bit of issues with the carb after the first winter .
Not too big of a problem but this year I thing the clutch should be adjusted, I try just like I did all of my other quads .
Only in my opinion now it is worse if she stops in the grass good luck driving out , I need to push her out I think it's slipping clutch.
Having the same issue . Lack of power . Did you figure it out ?
Great video, did you try calling a kayo dealer for the head?
What is the hose attached to that your going around for the spark plug.
So much work for a $40 motor, I'm thinking of getting my kids one of those ATVs
Did you reset the red safety off switch?? I let mine crank for 2 minutes before realizing that’s all I had to do. Fired right up after I reset the safety shut off button…
I did check that. That’s a tricky thing!
@@MikesGarageShop Hello Mike, great video. I’m at the point where I have spark and the fuel in the cylinder got it to fire but still won’t start. Do you think I need a new carb? Thank you
If you got it to fire, then that means you have good compression. Did you introduce fuel yourself? I would go after the carb.
Yes added fuel and it fired for a few seconds.
Then you have a fuel delivery issue. Is their gas in the float bowl of the carb?
I just bought one for my 5 year old and it runs but won’t stay in idle turns off any ideas on what it could be
Where to find a lower right a arm. Lower right meaning when you sit on the machine. Ball joint threads stripped on mine.
That screw didn’t just get through the filter like magic, it came from somewhere in the intake. Seems silly to me you went through all of this effort and still didn’t open the air box or look for the other screws that are about to rattle loose and put the customer right back in the same position.
Same exact thing happened to my quad. for all i know this is my quad lol, but my carburetor was the culprit, the screw came from the Choke butterfly. and your right, did that get inspect here or is it going to suck the other one through as well. Thankfully mine was covered under warranty and the shop contacted KAYO and just put in a brandnew motor, still ran like crap with the 125cc. The stock Carbs are junk, they tried 3 different carbs and ours still is slow to start, bogs at full throttle and just doesnt have the power a 125 should have. I bought an after market carb with swimmable needle, that helped a little but still was not goo above 3/4 throttle. its like it was starving for fuel. so i opened the carb and drilled out the highflow jet. actually went a little to big to the point it was hard to start, but after it warmed up it would just rip full throttle. since they put a new motor and carb on it, its back to running like crap. so i need to pull it out again and modify the jets again. just not as drastic as last time
My sons 2021 125 made a strange noise while riding the other day almost like a rattle/scratch.
Turned it off pushed to the house. Same issue. One Small screw holding the choke butterfly on the carb was missing. Even though his runs im going to remove the head myself to hopefully remove that screw on top of the piston without damage to the valves. Fingers crossed.
@@Backyard-Fam Thanks for this tip!! I had no start issue, but just drained stale fuel from carb bowl and it fired right up. I'm going to pull the carb and lock tight those butterfly screws!
Where did you get the parts from? Those are just Honda 125 head gasket/valves?
You would think! I was sourcing them from Amazon, EBay, and VMV directly. Couldn’t get a correct match
Tight valves
I could tell by ear it had no compression
Good looking, that's all over the market, are these damn China things.
Not much different than them damn jap things. Lol
So i guess these are not a good quad to buy
