The Savory Institute inspired me to get a degree in sustainability. I love the work they are doing. I would like to see their work being done in the southern part of Utah. That place is dying rapidly. The desert should have life, not randomly placed cows. 😑

There are regions on this planet where "sustainable" isn't enough. You can't sustain a broken ecosystem, or manage with some backwards idea that it has to be sustained this or that way. You have not only to regenerate but also to make life more resilient and abundant. Controlling numbers of animals like Yellowstone Park does is like keeping an aquarium at home. It's a playground for visitors. No wonder the visitors don't see the bison like the potent wild animals that they are and don't keep distance.
