I remember when I was 11 years old, 6 officers barged into our apartment in the middle of the night after we landed from Sydney Australia. Mum was being investigated for drug trafficking during the time. It was the most confusing time of my life.
The psychologist who was evaluating me for autism (which i was not long later diagnosed with) told my mum to call the police whenever i had an autistic meltdown. She never did but she threatened to. And im incredibly shocked that a "doctor" who knew why i would behave that way would suggest that. She (the pcychologist) was horrible and pretty much would scold me for doing things related to my autism.
I've also had terrible experiences. I once shared that I felt mad/furious/aggressive and asked if the "professional" had any advice. She accused me of threatening her the next day. I'm not sure why, I spoke calmly and just sat in a chair, sitting in a chair while you calmly ask a "professional" about advice because you FEEL aggressive ain't a threat, I've never harmed anyone.

My daughter was a temper tantrum drama queen. Consistently not giving in, immediately removing her from the situation and away from others because that behavior is not socially acceptable, is how I dealt with it. It didn't take long for her to figure out that tantrums weren't going to work to the ends she desired. By four years of age, she was no longer displaying tantrums. I think most children will out grow them as long as they're not placated when they act out in that way.
By four…? It’s not unusual for children under four to be dramatic and throw tantrums. It’s how you handle those tantrums that matters in the long run. Just threw me off though that you said “by four”.

My momma called the police and wanted me sent to juvenile jail for abuse. Thankfully the cop looked at her and said " juvenile hall is not meant to take the place of proper parenting"

@mikaelowe8430 Did you not pay attention to what the father said? The girl literally refused to get out of the car after her father took her where she wanted to go, he tried to reason with her but she wouldn't leave HIS car, then he got the police and she literally LIED TO THE POLICE and tried to make them believe her father was mentally ill. She resisted arrest multiple times when she could've just listened from the start. If she was truly innocent she would've done what the copa told her to.
I just feel bad for the father in the second video. You can tell hes a caring person who tried his hardest to help his daughter get better and be a better person. I dont know what the homelife is like or what decisions lead to this breaking point, but no matter what i can tell he really cared for his daughter and calling the police was likely a really hard ordeal to do for him. Im sure he just didnt know what else to do since she got kicked out of rehab (likely for not complying with any of the exercises and treatments done) and was just trying to get her something to eat when she decided that he was going to be her personal valet rather than her father
It's quite likely the caring and empathizing personality aided in his daughter going off the beaten track, instead of imposing firm boundaries she kept swaying him with the 'but daddy'+puppy eyes.
She's the kind of daughter that has a meltdown until she gets her own way. (Not that I hope this for her) yet she needs to live on the streets homeless. That would make her wake up.
But they didn't! Instead they arrested this sorry excuse for a mom for miss using 911, obstructing the police, and resisting arrest. If you ask me the cops should have also charged her for child abuse because she literally traumatized her kid for life.

If she’s to dig herself out of this hole, it has to be without people to take advantage of.
I really don't, in some states what happened wasn't even criminal trespass. Can't welcome someone into your vehicle then get tired of them and park, then call the cops to say they're trespassing. It didn't seem like the daughter was violent or anything. Really just very annoying, she was annoying. Ok, that isn't against the law unless you are disturbing the peace.. I question this situation. IF she had been a danger to others and herself. I would've understood the dad a bit more for calling the cops. But that situation looked like a civil dispute and the cops should've just left. IT was a huge waste of their time. Any chance that girl has at having a future is pretty much gone now. I don't know why the dad called the cops, so hopefully it was a good enough reason to fuck over his own daughter's life like that.

My daughter was a temper tantrum drama queen. It didn't take long for her to figure out that tantrums weren't going to work to the ends she desired. By four years of age, she was no longer displaying tantrums.

Our children are grown now. When they were in elementary school and old enough to understand, we told them that if they were ever arrested and were guilty of the crime, we would not bail them out of jail. They would have to face the consequences.
We talked to our children as they were growing up about right and wrong. They have grown up to be law abiding citizens.
Same here.
The amount of people who say NO! when told they are arrested just astounds me
Honestly, as much as I want to say a few words of choice to the father in the second video for even letting things escalate that far, I understand him to some degree.
