I have had my Droplette for around 3 months. I do love it. I use all 3 vials, collagen every morning and then I use the glycolic followed by the retinol one after the other one night a week. My Retin A 2 or 3 times a week otherwise. I do feel that I have more hydration and plumping from the Droplette but as with all skincare consistency pays off. They do provide a prepaid envelope to mail back the vials for recycling so this is no cost to the consumer to do this. Thanks, Trina for the video.

Cosmetic microneedling dries my skin out, because of the broken skin barrier. Some people have great results with microneedling. The droplette plumps up my skin and feels nicely hydrated. I am still trying out the droplette, but so far it makes my skin feel amazing.

Honestly, based on what I know of skin physiology and particle size, I don't see how this could work. I went to the website and got the specifics. Let me explain why I don't think micro droplets are going to penetrate the skin any better than a serum, so that you realize I am not making these comments as a hater. The skin will only allow a 500 Dalton particle pass thru the stratum corneum. A collagen molecule is 300,000 daltons. In order for a collagen molecule to pass the stratum corneum in one of their nano- droplets, it would have to be broken up into pieces ... And then it's not collagen anymore. It's peptides and amino acids. But that's not what they said is going into your skin. They're saying it's these mega particles like collagen and hyaluronic acid ( 4000- 8 million daltons). It might be possible if the skin is inflamed and the stratum corneum thereby compromised. But with an intact stratum corneum, no. Don't see this happening.
It might be something that feels really good on the skin but I have my doubts that has any long-lasting effects beyond those that a serum would. Perhaps there is something I am not understanding?
Thank you for reviewing it. It's something I hadn't heard of before and I'm glad you enjoy using it, no doubt it feels refreshing. But at $299 it's a hard pass for me.🌱

Did you not look at the photos I included of my video showing the droplette delivering the serum mist INTO the skin? Also did you not look at their before and after photos I included in my video from their trials? I will be sure to forward your comment to the MIT trained droplette founders to see what they say.

@@beautybeyond40 thank you Beauty! That would be super! I'd love them to explain how their droplets can penetrate the stratum corneum, bc I'm completely lost here. Looking forward to their response. 🌸 EDIT: yes, I did see the photo at 7:51, in case anyone is interested...but how did they get in there is my question, when the actives themselves are so large?

Hi Laurie, here is the response back from the Droplette team: "You're right that we aren't breaking down the molecules in any way. In fact, Droplette preserves the integrity of ingredients, which degrade when left on the surface of the skin. The key to our technology is that our droplets aren’t just small; they’re small AND fast. Because they're moving at such a high velocity with a unique fluid physics flow regime, Droplette indeed causes minor, temporary disruption to the skin barrier to allow ingredients with large molecular weights to break through. Our research shows that pores are at play as well, as the delivery depth is even greater in these areas. But this disruption does not cause any inflammation, as it occurs in less than a micro-second, and we’ve done longitudinal studies to ensure we’re not harming the skin. This is a completely novel approach to topical ingredient delivery with both cosmetic and medical applications, which is why our work is supported by the National Institutes of Health, Harvard Medical School, Walter Reed Institute, and NASA."

I own the Droplette & use it every night with the collagen capsule, & living in the Arizona Desert for 4 years & being 74 yrs old, my skin was drying out. But the Droplette recovered my skin in less than a week & the hydration stays all day & makes such a difference in my skin. The droplette penetrates your skin & not just sits on top. I Absolutely LOVE IT!!!!! And their customer service is the very best. They even ship you out a new device before you even send back your return. I don’t think she’s referring to Medical Microneedling used to induce collagen production by creating a wound/repair scenario. I believe she’s talking about Cosmetic Microneedling which is a much shallower depth needle that people use to enhance product penetration for their serum and actives. In that way, the goal is similar. People want to find a way to get their product past the epidermal layer. The Droplette provides a way to do that *without* the superficial injury of needling.

Having watched Cassandra’s video on this unit and also the Reduit I was left thinking these are more scam than splurge. The reason being, when she was talking about how the Reduit made her skin feel and she did some close ups, you could see her skin looked like it was literally soaking wet (and she was saying how she felt the Droplette didn’t really feel like it left much on the skin by comparison). It made me think, surely then if it’s all sitting on the skin, it’s not doing what it claims and penetrating as promised? Perhaps then, given the Droplette doesn’t leave that same dripping wet look and feel, it is indeed making it beneath the skin’s epidermis??! Have I just answered my own question and realised that perhaps the unit you are demonstrating is superior, especially given the medical backing and reason it was developed? One last question, you didn’t seem to have the same issue that she had with the unit leaking when it was turned upside down?? Is it safe to say you can use the Droplette any which way and the capsule won’t leak? Many thanks, Amanda
