Yes, I met him and heard him speak over 20 years ago. He's also a true patriot and conservative as well. Something that's being demonized and under attack on a massive scale today.

I met Mr Borgnine at a gas station in Victorville CA back in the 90's, he was very nice and very down to earth. I asked him where he was headed and he said "Las Vegas for the weekend". No "Star Trip" with him, just a good man who was more interested in me and who was kind and treated me with respect. R.I.P. Mr B.

@@kikayei yes, he was part of a gang of outlaws that included Warren Oates, William Holden and 2 other actors who I can't recall. It takes place in Revolutionary ere Mexico, around 1916 and the gang hijacks a US Army train loaded with weapons and they sell them to the Mexicans. It's also about how the Wild West is over and these guys were part of that era. It's a good movie but very violent, directed by Sam Peckinpah

Can remember when he was on TV program highway to heaven you think that was in 80"s and to look back on when he done the movie Marty in 50"s that tells you how good he was as actor. And these videos of him are nice to see he was same decent person off screen and a regular person lot of these so called actors and celebrities of today could learn a lot from seeing a true gentleman wished could have met him when he was doing this what an honor it would have been . As a little boy, I always looked up to Ernest Borgnine. The first movie/play I saw him in was the Glass Menagerie. I can't explain it, but I was hooked on his presence. After that as I grew older, anything that he was featured in, I had to watch intently. Watched it with respect for Mr Borgnine as an actor. The movie "Marty" was the other memorable film he starred in. He was the butcher in the Bronx. He had my full respect as a person, and my full attention whenever I saw him in a movie, or a TV interview, like on Johnny Carson. I cant say enough about Ernest Borgnine. THUMBS UP!!!
