- Ever wonder what the difference is between an expensive AUTOart model and a toy brand model? Today I show you the difference between these two Countach's. One is an AUTOart diecast 1:18 and the other is a Bburago 1:18 diecast.
ENJOY!

For only 20 Dollars the Bburago is really well build.
No bburago is 30
And it's made in Italy not China. Carello logo foglights in Burago made my day.
@Supercharged Chicken for me it costs 55 dollars jeez
Cay YT I got mine for 15 on eBay...
@@orangecayman520 ur so lucky lol
Bburago is not bad at all even with low for the money this details are acceptable. Thank you.
Not only that. I made some changes to my Countach by Burago and it got so much better. :)
I still have my Bburago Countach my parents bought for my 8th birthday. It is the same red model as showed. So specifically you need to take in that this 'model' is about more than 32 years old. And as a child it was awesome ... for me for sure because it is the only 1:18 (which I knew scale wise much much later) I got. And back in the days we didn't got a lot of options. And I still got it all beaten up, but it still shines greatly.
Well said. Bburago were the first company to even have the concept of producing 1/18 models so in my eyes they were the ultimate daddies and the rest just copied and improved on a fantastic idea. Sadly they were bought out by Maisto and therefore are no longer produced in Italy.
If you ask me to choose, i will choose to collect bburago/maisto instead. I mean, if you are going to let that sit on the shelves and accumulate dusts, its wasted for $200 when you could had gotten 6 different models.
At the end of the day, doesnt really matter which. Its up to the preference of people. I just buy maisto/bburago because 1) They are cheap yet the quality is quite ok 2) I just wanted my future generation to know the models we had now when they may be extinct in 30 years? 3) Its only for me to look at.
or you get a closed show case, no dust =)
@@Mad9977 🤣🤣
This is the worst bburago I've ever seen.
I've seen bburago vs expensive D&G comparison videos and they look almost the same.
With the one in this video it was clear that something wasn't right from the beginning.
The guy behind this video also smells like a liar a little bit.
Those cars are not exactly the exact same model. You can look up lamborghini countach in google images and there is one that has the same back design of the bburago model.
So might also be a bit of a liar. Jut saying it might.
@@FriendlyCroock some American spec countachs had added on rear light covers , fenders /bumpers to meet legislation.
I got my BBurago one for 4 bucks + shipping. I repainted a few things black, added plastic windows and improved the lights and for that price i definitly can't complain.
For the price of the auto arts I could get a hot toys figure which looks like it takes more time and effort to make and matches the price you pay for. While autoarts kind of seems like there overpriced when cheaper competitors are catching up. I love cars but 200 -400 dollar vs 60-100 dollars brands that don’t have huge differences besides a few extra details.
I had a white bburago Countach as kid in the 90s and it was one of the best toys I ever had. I disassembled it and ruined it, of course. Good times.
For those of you berating autoart of the high prices, the same can be said for supposedly "high end" resin models like Davis and giovanni, bbr, MR etc
but once upon a time autoart was cheap. in the 2000s you could buy many models for less than 100 bucks. those same models cost twice and more now.
@@ImperialDiecast because times change. Labour is much more expensive in China nowadays than it was 15 years ago.
Sadly new Autoarts are not as good as the Countach and Burago has been improving their level. If we compare an Autoart Huracan with a Burago 488 GTB the difference is not that extensive.
Someone did a review over the Autoart New MB maybach Pullman . 200 Euro for a plastic car .
your'e crazy
@@IwillBwaiting plastic is better than zinc diecast. COlors will not chip. And that is all there is to it, otherwise they are exactly the same...
Vintage Bburagos are great project cars because you can pick them up for cheap and work on them. First you need to find one in near mint condition, preferably with box. It makes a big difference to ones with yellowed out windshields, stickers peeling off etc. Then you can add some highlights for example at 0:19 you could use black paint to trace out the window frames, windshield trim and fog lamp trim on the bburago. You can remove the annoying looking seatbelts. And suddenly it looks a lot better.
First of all
You can’t compare one to the other for the simplest reason that
Burago models are entry level models from a collectors point of view
And
Autoart models are replicas to scale
Burago and autoart both make really great models and replicas
No need to compare. Enjoy both 👍🏼
well said..Collectors taste Varie. I see many models on You Tube that I wouldn't waste money or the space for. Sounds terrible but I have discarded models I though sucked.. About ready to-do that to a couple of 1/43 IXO
Bburago is pretty nice but I think AutoArt is better, though I'd rather buy the $20 Bburago than the $200 AutoArt. I just think that $200 is not worth it it's too overpriced even if it has 10 times better details
Alter Bladez two hundred some of those cars are going for far more now
Autoart cars used to be around $75 (£50.00) but since 2008 the prices have just increased way too much. I used to buy CMC's for $150.00, not now. I just don't by the models any more apart from a few Otto French resin models for around 60.00 euros.
@@pb5x5 Prices have increased over the last TWELVE YEARS? Who knew?
@@pb5x5 price have increased, quality has decreased
I like both of them but I agree with others ,bburago is an affordable model for ppl who don't care much about details or high quality. They both look very nice anyway.
Greetings from the UK, new subscriber here
Bburago reminds me beta version of infernus from GTA Vice City. This is not bad at all!
Bburago are okay for Kids who want to play, to collect and film it, i prefer high end quality like AutoArt
Mad9977 i am 13 bro and my uncle has a huuuge autoart collection, he starts to sell them but he gives me some of them and now i am a fan of miniature cars i can't afford a high quility autoart model tho but i do my best to grow my collection
Did you know that mold of Bburago is about more than 30 years old. I think that model came out back in '84. Still got it what my parents bought back in the days. Well it was for kids indeed, but there weren't much options back in the days. My first pin up was a Countach as well. :)
Lmao shut the fuck up......you sound like those pussy watch snobs that say " nothing touches my wrist for under $1,000"............ Most of my collection is kyosho and auto art with a few Maistos and one bburago f40...... Not bad for the money....
Definitively wrong, not just the money difference is not justified but also you are not considering people who likes to collect and definitively cannot afford an Autoart... I have the Bburago Countach since app. 20 years, and it resisted mi son, years without caring, a divorce, a few house movings including a 550Km+ one, and after all of this, a little cleaning with a 3M paint polisher, and it's brand new again 😎 now, If you want to pay 10 times the money for the twice of quality, well, it's your option...
You must understand that not everybody can buy models by Autoart because of very high price. Besides, their models don`t sale in some countries like mine.
Nice video. Good comparison. ‘If I had the money’ story.
I don't collect model cars, but I wanted a Lambo for Chuckles (GiJoe) for a Miami Vice style diorama. I almost bought Autoart because of how stunning it is, but got the Burago instead. For what I need, it's worth saving 170 bucks
Something you should keep in mind in this comparison is also that the Bburago model was produced in the 90s by Bburago in Italy. Nowadays Bburago die-cast models have of course more details but also it is not produced by the same company anymore. Since 2005 the company was purchased by the owner of Maisto and they closed the factory in Italy as well. Although AutoArt is still better about the details but you can purchase 2 or more Bburago models for the amount of money. I love to find bargains on ebay from old Bburago. Currently I got an old yellow Testarossa - keeping in mind that Bburago lost the Ferrari license in the middle of 90s so this is really an old model. This makes it just a classic die-cast of a classic sportscar.
Yes the Auto Art looks a little better but allot of the superior detailing on it you can make yourself on the Bburago. The Auto Art casting is a little better as well though but when you take the price difference into account the Bburago is pretty close.
Nice review! It’s really clear why some diecast car brands are much more expensive than other ones! That’s what happens in a comparison between ERTL and Highway 61, for instance.
I myself don’t like Bburago so much, since I’m not an European car enthusiast, but I’m a big Auto Art fan! I’ve done some reviews myself too! Thanks for the video!
Bburago is beautiful too but when putting handmade details
i must say that that Bburago countach looks really beaten up front. i must say that i was lucky and i got one of the nincest Bburago countach. it only suffered from diecast cancer so i had to repaint it. now it looks "brand new"
Thorsten van der Weide "diecast cancer" 😂😂
I had that very same Bburago Countach in '97. So sad that it didn't survive. Best gift I ever got.
Bburago: Great value for money!
I'm pissed about the fact my dad still calls it "a toy"
The first car i had was the burago 1/18 F40 that was over 30 odd years ago always wanted a lambo autoart is amazing in detail i have there mad max interceptor stunning model worth every penny got the greenlight as well its like night and day between the pair.
I have an auto art Maira and bburago viper, they are honestly great looking cars
It just makes so much sense!
Autoart é impressionante , mas a autenticidade do burago é ser italiano diferente da AA que é chinesa , amo os dois .
Autoart é Sul-coreana.
AutoArt is very expensive and only for the rich kids. For the ordinary kids Bburago is sufficient already. I rather collect 10 Bburago than 1 AutoArt.
Rocky Yap not really for rich kids ive saved up quite a bit of money and looking forward to buy a autoart lamborghini gallardo supertrofeo stradale
Infinite Pickles that’s a good pick! I am saving for the Huracán performanté
LM Garage oh i was going to pick the same one because the gallardo ran out what are you gonna pick ? There is a blue one i found its nice
Infinite Pickles It is the blue one That caught my eye.
LM Garage it was supposed to be it but the store said the performante ran out just an hour ago soo...yeah not much options left i got an bentley bentayga instead because there was one up for sale and also the spec that i wanted
The Bburago models were much better quality when they were made in Italy. When manufacturing moved to China, I noticed a big decline in the standard of finish and fitting. For collectors, an important thing to know is that Italian made Bburago in 1:18 actually have appreciated in value, especially the older Ferraris up until the F40. If you want your collection to appreciate in value, then at least start somewhere around the Hotwheels Elite collection in terms of brand and go up from there. Kyoshu Die Cast is probably the best Ive owned, but they're very pricey. Most importantly......KEEP THE BOX.....!
The door hinge on the autoart was satisfying to see.
The Bburago looks like a replica being compared to a real Countach
Carello logo foglights and very close to reality tires. For 20 $ Burago hands down.
So what if someone wants to collect but....isn't rich but he wants the best models....what if they simply can't afford an auto art?
New Bburago are good Maisto Welly is good and Minichamps
look at it this way , if burago can supply the full car to a decent level of finnish for 20 , then auto art have done to the same level then charged 180 for a few extras .... absurdly priced ,, nice but for a basic display model burago every time , no denying the auto art is nice but not 180 extra nice
I agree. Older Burago models are very nicely built, and they have very affordable price. Yes AutoArt is better when you compare it side by side, but not 10 times better. I've been collecting them (1/43,1/24,1/18 scales) since I was 10 and they are very nice even today.
While Autoart is definitely higher quality, it's not worth 4 times the price or more in my opinion. They always go overboard with 'luxury' products.
The difference are: The headlights, winder wipers, the polish, the spoiler, the seats inside both of the ferrari, and the square number thingy
the Burago is all out of scale and the wheels are way too big in diameter..they are based on 17 inch wheels not 15 inch like in real life. The bburago is a QV also, different rear deck lid
My OCD is getting frustrated with that crooked outlet cover
My Bburago Lamborghini has springs in doors and with a few dollars for modifications it is pretty good diecast car
Is your burago broken
Bburago is fantastic for the price. Autoart is better but cost 10x
Bburago, Maisto And ETC offer a not bad Recreation of said car for a fraction of the price of the high end brands (AutoArt, Exoto, Amalgam Models) which will set you more than 100 to thousands in the case of amalgam models.
Lol nice :D
How much it cost an auto art model ?
Better? Yes. 10x better? Hmmm.....
is Tonka countach worth it? i'm new. Seems the bburago is the most copied in the black market? Because i saw some really shit quality ones, but in this vid the bburago is ok
i have 9 models of bburago and its very good quality
Why doesn’t Walmart sell Burago
Nice vid!
But still is the question; Whats the difference in price? I´ll understand if you dont want to say how much you bought it for, but at least tell us the difference in %.
He told it in the video... $20 VS $200
Yes of course, you´re right.
The second time I watched I heard when I did not have a lot of disturbing children around me!
Because of the price, the quality of auto art is amazing and I have 6 cars from auto art are kept inside the led display case
Great comparison. I think the Bburago Countach would look nicer if it were in clean mint condition (new in box); you took one that had seemed to have sat outside for a while and collected dust etc. Of course the Autoart is still a TON better in terms of detail and finish, but keep in mind many people collect diecast models just to get a 3D representation of the supercar they are after, and budget models definitely get that job done: they look like the supercars we are after. It's only when you hold the model 30cm from your face that you'll start thinking "hmm, it could use more detail". If Autoarts weren't so crazy appreciating in price, more people could afford them. The good old days of
still the models are quickly sold out, apparently AutoArt have a great fan base
Imperial Diecast i wish i had more money to afford high quility autoarts and not 20€ maisto mustangs :(
There are some cheap Autoarts you can get, for example the Lamborghini Gallardo Superleggera (the 1st gen, not the LP570-4) for less than 70€ or the Lotus Europa S for less than €55, keep an eye out for them on ebay :)
Imperial Diecast thanks but i live in greece and i don't want to wait for like a month to get them, i prefer to get them from greek websites to have them delivered in 2-4 days
look out on ebay, or be lucky that someone just need to sell em of quickly.
i had one of the last and i got em so cheap that i felt sorry for the guy.
(though i wrote a recipe where i stated that if he wanted he could buy em back for the same price i gave him at a later point, but he later say'd out they was better at my place than the government taking em for unpayed bills on an later occasion)
ended up with all AutoArt Lamborghini pre-countach models (in every colour release) and every Lancia released for less than 20£ each.
i for the mostly collect pre-asian Bburago's and with that limiting what to go after and budget... or it could go of the hill.
I gotta say if you gave that Bburago to a customizer it could be just as good or at least close to just as good as the AUTOart. Add wires, small details. It could really be brought to life
My burago countach doors stay up
it's the question about money
For the difference in price the Bburago isn't a bad model for basically a toy but for the extra cost of the Autoart model you would expect a lot more detail and at the price i would expect the Autoart model to actually start and drive away, the shouldn't really be compared with each other, its like comparing a rolls royce with a mini, its not really fare.
I have the Bentley Speed 8 and 2 Panoz Esperante GT-R ^^
0:54 that broken door is not normal
Yeah i have Murciélago with broken doors (i was playing with it a lot as a child)
Both cars has its particularities, but anyway, i stay with Bburago.
Bburago has most and more refined details, in every aspect of the car.
Maisto and Mirá are good choices too.
Regards everybody.
Blessings.
AutoArt: real Countach
Bburago: Fiero kit car
if i had abundant amount of cash, i will go for autoart. bcs indeed autoart just represent the 1:1 well
Its like a PS4 vs PC comparison
AutoArt if you like the details, Bburago if you want to play with
Nice Video! Believe or not I have a burrago Countach and it doesn't even look as good as the one you've got! So consider yourself lucky lol Autoart is second to none but I don't have to tell you that!
Ok fair enough, Autoart just has better details etc but Bburago is overall vfm for a 20€ model. Its looks are good, the scale is the same, and for a collector is overall nice pick. Now if you are a person who also likes to construct them, you get Tamiya or Fujimi models, you custom them as you wish and for a 30€ you have them at your own taste. But they would be plastic, so someone should know what really wants for his/her collection. Bburago to say, are very durable, I have models since 10 years old, now I am 26 and they are so cool and without any damage.
For over 30 years Old Model IT is a masterpiece. And The down part of the car looks better and more realistic in bburago for me. IT 8s more nostalgią for me but the bburago wina for me. IT is a part of my past.
I am a huge bburago fan
Me too
AutoArt is clearly made with attention to detail, but you will pay dearly for it. Worth more? Yes definitely, but not what they are going for today.
MonroeHandyMan ya they are quite expensive but you get what you pay for
The interior was very different
I LOVE burago made IN Italy.
i like both but the autoart countach is better
I like the auto art
Yeah well you can modify the BBurago Lamorghini you can customise and turn to a real beauty
AUTOART ❤️❤️❤️
The bburago one looks goofy compared to the autoart one
because right now Burago is made in China... back then I had Bugatti EB 110 was made by Burago Italy n the detail was fantastic 👍👍
It has the exact same detail as the Italian made versions from 20+ years ago. They use the same casts. The difference lies in paint techniques. Chinese bburago has thicker, glossier paint but it usually almost always ends up with rash. The Italian models never suffered from paint rash.
I say do a crash test and see which one is the strongest!
no
lmao
I wouldn't feel guilty about changing up parts on a Burago however, and yea an autoart tends to have more plastic body pieces.
Burago
Burago 1:24 model is WAY better in terms of "model to reality" ratio. In 1:18 scale they reallly messed the things up so I never prefered or bought the bigger model. In case of ferrari f40 is the opposite. 1:18 models are really good for that value, but 1:24 models were really inaccurate.
Are these 1:18 scale ??
Yok Eng Lim yep they are, he says it in the video and also in the description
Autoart all Life, but burago is enough good for money
I like more the auto art
Are you serious? You compare a 20 year old model with a new one??? Bburago has this model in catalog over 20 years - as long as I can remember and I collected them.
But a AutoArt doesn't make a great face reveal like at 3:16 lol
Auto art needs to make steel or aluminum chassis
Then you end up increasing the weight and cost needlessly. Which means so much more for shipping.
Autoart is a good make
the auto art is better but the bburago is a better deal
I will choose autoart
AutoArt's wheels look more accurate in size...
I think the burago chassis looks better
Super Shifter howwwwwww
@@karenmiranthis5939 its more like chassis the autoart is too smooth trust me i know this car like my shoes
Bburago is more like 50 not 20 dollars fyi
The price doesn't guarantee precision. Take a 1/18 scale Ferrari 308 GTB and -I'l point out inacuracies especislly on the QV.
Both are nice , but you can really tell the difference between the two but the Auto Art model is still way over priced . I wouldn't pay more then $50 for it , Which is why I have the cheaper model. I can think of so much more things I can do for 200 plus dollars . Great review though.. I wonder if the cheaper model is worth more then 20 now ??
Yuu
Quiero mucho a burago pero aqui me temo que el autoart es superior
Yestercars..I HATED BBURACO ,..WITHOUT SIDE WINDOW GLASS !!!! ,..
the autoart goes for a lot more than 200$
One weird looking car
Как бы сильно я не любил бы Бураго, но она тут явно проигрывает
