That was a lovely and well controlled run.....well done Sir! Liked your quiet control and Jod is very responsive too. He has a perfect ability is confidently in charge without being over aggressive...beautiful to watch. Thanks for posting.
I very rarelybleave comments or can watch the entire video of dogs working but your handling and the dog working were both very nice and refreshing to see. Nice job
Thank you for taking the time to video and post that. Putting this up on You Tube would have been the last thing on my mind but I guess a good dog takes away the worry.
Hi guys. Hope things are well your way. We are the once that got the black pup.. believe you called him Bart. He was out of Jod. He is being a wonderful dog and got lots of cow instinct. We just love him! Will probably contact you for another pup contact you again some day when my husband is gonna need a new dog.
I have a heeler that is working ,not as good as Jod and all I have done is let him do what comes natural to him and I let him make mistakes and help correct him ,he knows to stop when I say so because I'm the boss. Everyday we work he gets better now he is pretty fun to move cows with.
That is a fine dog though I expect he is retired by now. I agree with your statement in the other vid that they need to back off when the cattle are going the right way, it seems many are a little to rammy and can cause problems when there needn't be.
Can you please do us a big favor. Can you just let us know when the jod puppies are gonna be available.....? Also can you shoot us a video of how you get em started how you get em to where they're at.....? Thanks
You taught this dog perfectly. I've seen other video's and all they do is yell and scream at the poor dogs and they get to excited to even do any good.
I'm curious. . . Is Jod allowed to be a pet, or is he strictly business? I know some herd dogs don't do well around children, they start herding them and can be nippy.
Amazing dogs. At some point you have to think the dog is going to look over and say, "Relax, I got this."
"A good dog sure makes life a lot easier." Amen to that! 😊
Love watching these dogs work, they’re so intelligent.
That is one amazing dog. Kudos to you and your dog.
Just love watching these guys work!
Absolutely incredible! He's your cattle Angel!!!!!
That dog is smarter than most people I know. And, a better designated driver.

Just perfect. Instinct is beautiful to watch sometimes. On both sides.

That was good I had sheepdogs back in Australia. She was an amazing dog field and yard.
I really enjoyed the video, and was wondering if you have any dogs for sale.

Jod is a smart good boy =] he gets all the commands right and keeps everything under control.
It would be cool to have more Jod videos to watch :).
This was awesome to watch... We just got a hangin tree pup so we're excited to see how he goes! Trying to learn as much as I can about them.
Good dog, wish I new how to train my red healers to work like that.
They're just waiting for you to learn, James! ;-)

What an awesome dog! I was wanting a Border Collie until I seen your video, not I want a Hangin Tree!
Amazing great dog in action, wish I had one, would've saved rounding cattle in a pickup truck for years!
Nice job. As already noticed by others: calm handling and very responsive dog.
Have no experience with cows but the basics are the same as in sheep.
Gary Erickson who used to live in Salmon???
