- Three short clips of motorcycles responding with lights and French sirens in Paris. The first two motorcycles are Yamaha TDM 900 and we also see a BMW R1150 RT-P and three Yamaha FJR 1300.
Paris, France. 01.2015
Nice one. So what's the first two? Look like Ninjas on bikes!
Could really do with rear lighting.
The are from the "Compagnie de Securisation et d'Intervention", they are ninjas, that's true !
Security and Intervention Company
Something like Fast response / anti-crime units in urban areas, while most of the others motorcycles are traffic/escort units.
I was surprised by the lack of rear lighting as well, wonder why they don't add any
Hello, are motorcycle police of the Paris Police Prefecture in interventions.
High speed. Nice video.
C'est l'heure de l'apéro....
Mdrrrrr
Funny that this got recommended to me for no reason.
And yet, about and hour ago, 4 policemen got stabbed to death in France.
Talk about timming...
cool les polices
Going home for tea I expect
Or a wine glasses
Or two glasses, three finally, and a l'air for the roadXD
Best pilote ...
I guess the French don't believe in having any warning lights to the back of the bikes?
They used to have a single light that they could mount on a little metal arm. I haven't seen them in recent years. In Paris at least they don't make a lot of traffic stops so are rarely parked on the side of the road.

0:59 how come one Motorcycle has white plate number and the other one a yellow one?
Yellow plates are older models (pre 2009), the white plates are from 2009 to now.

bmw
And?
Someone run out of frogs?
bwahahaha
Fantastic high speed video!! :)
Why is it the french police seem to have only one siren tone?
This is two-tones?
CobraEmergencyVideos I mean the 1 siren, like most places have the high low, two tone, phaser etc. the French police people seem to only have this two tone siren and nothing else.
It would appear that way for sure! A odd few I think have three-tone sirens.
Yes, all french emergency vehicles have just one Hi/lo siren, it's the only legal siren. The 3-tones is more of a "curtesy" siren that is used by non-emergency ambulances and some other services (gaz/electricity workers, highway technic patrols etc...) . So yes, the Police only uses one siren.
Emergency vehicles do not all have the same siren in France, which makes it possible to differentiate the priority vehicles from those benefiting from passage facilities. Priority vehicles have a two-stroke two-stroke siren ("pin pon") when vehicles with certain passage facilities have a two-tone three-stroke siren ("pin pon pin"). Each type of vehicle also has its own tone: the vehicles of the SAMU make a la-fa, the police a la-re and the firemen a la-si.
