Hats off to the dealership for letting you take that for a spin.
I bought the 2022 Adventure KLR (previously owned 5 other motorcycles) GSXR, DRZ, VTX, Grom, Shadow, now having 4500 miles on my KLR, its by far the most capable with comfort on 10 hour rides. After breaking in the KLR, I noticed the KLR gets smoother for sure. Can’t beat the comfort for the price and all the features. Fun bike, get one you will fall in love with it.
Heck yes! Love my KLR! Thanks for the video! 👍
Awesome review! Damn now you got me wanting to go ride one of those
good stuff glad to see another video pop up! i don't ride but this makes me want to, i feel like this would be the bike for me.
Really enjoyed the video and your enthusiasm. I have a brand new adventure model waiting in the garage for spring. Not far from you in Dutchess county NY, I actually traded in my harley for this bike. Got tired of having a bike I couldn't get dirty. Probably the first KLR video I seen where the rider wasn't whining about the wind hitting them in the helmet. Nice work
That wind was killing me though. Got a riser for the windscreen that fixed that issue which was a must for me.
Hey Man, thanks for the video.
I have been thinking about buying the new klr for several months now, what is stopping me is all the negative reviews I.e it's a pig, it's slow etc etc.
From what I can see thanks to videos like yours that it is a capable fun cruising machine.
I have a designated dirt bike already. I just want a bikes that does it all infact the klr is what a bike should be simple etc.
Thanks again
Thanks for this vídeo getting one this month probably this week if it works out good.
Good stuff! Makes me want one
I like the colour. Always admired the KLR. Nver ridden one.
Picking up a '23 Traveler ABS tomorrow.
Stoked!
I am looking into a Traveler ABS as well. How are you liking it?
@@patrickcobb4483 Hi Patrick,
Well, for starters I'm an avid motorcyclist since I was 8 years old. I'm now 59. Through the years I've had so many bikes I can't remember how many. Suzukis, BMWs, Triumph, Moto Guzzis, Ducati, Harleys...I'm sure I'm missing some.
Presently I have a Suzuki V-Strom 1050XT with all the gizmos available. Since picking up the KLR I think I've found the bike I will always keep. Why? It just does everything I want! Sure, it's not great at everything, but it will DO everything. Cross-country/round the world touring, off road trails, back-country roads...whatever you throw at it.
It's so easy to ride and maintain. With basic mechanical knowledge, you should be able to all the maintenance yourself.
Although not a fast bike, It's just satisfying on so many levels. It just makes the "Ride" so enjoyable.
For the $, you are getting a lot of bike.
I'm seriously considering selling the V-Strom now.
Hope this helps.
The new KLR needs some of the stuff they left off. Temp, Tach... The only reason they went to fuel injection is for emissions reasons. They are just trying to destroy reliable vehicles. That is the only reason to mess with MC and other not really used transportation.
That base color in Sand is bad ass looking, especially with the windscreen extension. Pegs and tires is all Im doing to mine.
Agreed. Phenomenal color way. Good stuff. Enjoy!
I looked at one yesterday might go back and get it. Haven’t ridden in years but need to start back off.
You won't be unhappy. Great bike especially if you're getting back in the game.
great exploring !!!! enjoy the day and #livetoride
Enjoyed your video. What's your inseam? Would someone with a 30" be fine?
Thanks. You'll be on your toes at a traffic light but good to go.
@@downstateradv tires still poor from factory? Hey by the way I have a great setup so you never have to change a battery for your GoPro. I run mine for my channel all day non stop.
No the stock dunlops are great. No issue there. Most people won't even be able to ride past their ability quite frankly. They are a 70/30 ish tire so if your mission profile is more road or more dirt than change accordingly.
With the weather modification going on now and taking out Bridges and nobody bats and I
It's looking like that rattle is common to all the new Gen 3's. Mine does it also, and lots of others are reporting the same. It's under that right side black plastic cover. Easy to fix with one of those felt stick on chair leg pads inserted between the plastics where they are touching,
Makes sense. These things happen. If that's all we can fault on this revision, kudos to the boys at kawi!
Those loose straps are worrying me..
U
KLR 1000,100 + hp, 270 crank, 6 speed, center stand, cruise control, TFT dash, then we have a great bike!
Sure... But then you also have an $18,000 bike! Haha. There's a give and take in all of this and perspective is a hell of a drug.
@@downstateradv True, but would be a bad ass bike that would sell well & be more competitive to all the other large bore adv's.
