    I could imagine the 49ers abandoning levi stadium in the next 20 years. Levi stadium is too far away from San Francisco and the stadium lacks public transportation access (you have to take a long walk to and from the nearest Bart station).plus the traffic is terrible near Levi stadium, especially if the 49ers play a game on Monday night.

    • @UnitardZZack
      @UnitardZZack 9 месяцев назад

      They'll try to develop the area but there are too many flaws with it. The 49ers literally cannot open the season at home because of the summer heat. Why do you think they always open the season with 2-4 road games and a primetime home opener?
      Heat, public transportation, location, problems with the airport nearby, etc. Levi's owns the rights to the building until 2034 and I can see Jed looking for a new place in San Francisco proper. Hell, the stadium was designed for the old Candlestick location and was never meant for Santa Clara. I wouldn't be shocked if he had the stadium dissassembled and rebuilt in San Francisco proper lol.
      I'd be fine with it since I actually like the look of Levi's. But yeah, I think the Niners will be gearing up to leave for a new building by 2040 with the rate of stadium designs. Especially if they remain as good as they are now. A Super Bowl win or two with this squad may just give them some leverage like the Bills got with Buffalo.

    Also just logically with Tampa Bay metro as a whole matching a population like LA and with it experiencing a rapid growth the area needs a massive stadium for events. Stadium was empty of course except for the workers. Plenty of time to look around. Very Dystopian and Brutalist design. Like the Washington DC subway system. Everywhere you look up in the concourses, you see just thousands of data cables snaking along steel cable guides. Everything inside is just COLD. The old Giants Stadium was so much better!! I doubt it when it comes to the Superdome saying that its protected by NHP national historical places, its the last surviving dome! it’s legendary in it’s on right, which creates a problem for the city of New Orleans, if the Saints want to build a new stadium, it wouldn’t be built on Sugar bowl Drive and the city of New Orleans will be responsible for keeping both sport venues up to code we talking about a billion dollar stadium THAT WOULD HAVE TO BE BUILT just to keep the saints in NOLA 1. It’s a small market and 2. it will have to be a retractable roof stadium that was one of the stipulations the NFL had in place before awarding New Orleans a football franchise it will be in the billions the Saints will be in the dome until it can no longer hold its own weight 20..

    I like your videos but seem have not much love for the Tampa area that is only continuing grow in population. The reason the Bucs lack attendance is look at the heat they play in. Raymond James Stadium doesn’t offer much shade, these places need be indoors with natural lighting coming through. The Tampa Bay Lightning HOCKEY draws very well down there! 41 home games, why? Well the team has been very good the last decade and even won a cup in 2004, located in Tampa, and of course they play indoors. I live in Michigan a suburb outside Detroit and i consider Tampa and their teams as a second home for me. The Rays issue is location of the stadium being in St. Petersburg, along with being a dim indoor facility with no natural light. Tampa is not Miami in their lack of passion for sports, why I take offense when I hear relocation, especially the Buccaneers who have won TWO Super Bowls! Tampa has hosted 5 Super Bowls too, this isn’t Jacksonville. Unfortunately all the stadiums built in the mid to late 90s are quickly becoming obsolete, question is what kinda funding they would receive. Again I enjoy your videos, I think you’re glossing over Tampa as some third rate sports town. The Lightning finished THIRD in attendance last year at 19,092 behind Carolina and Montreal, need do some more research when you talk Tampa Bay. The Bucs have been a pillar there entering their 48th season! Come on, do some more research because you’re missing the boat with Tampa. And the Rays is well documented as you know they play in a park in St. Petersburg that was built in 1990! Thing was outdated their inaugural season in 1998, put them in Tampa, Ybor, have an owner who spends middle of pack and they’ll be an asset. Jeffrey Vinik the Lightning owner shows how it can be done there and the success they have is HOCKEY in Florida! That tells me the other owners are the issues, along with the Stadium location, not the fans, population which is 18th biggest metropolitan area.

      Jets to Nassau County, Queens or The Bronx on very cheap or condemned land...But where in Westchester?? It has to be south of Tarrytown or White Plains, and even then that's a stretch to get everyone there easily on game day. There are a few golf courses in southern Westchester that could be considered. Have no idea what that price tag would be to buy that property. Some are near major highways. US 1, I-95, The Hutchinson, I-287 (NY Thru-Tappan Zee). These roads pass thru some of the most wealthiest areas in the world, and also our country. I really doubt that Westchester County would be on board with this in any shape or form. The residents near those golf course footprints would not welcome a huge stadium and the extra traffic. Add to that the added cost of infrastructure like shuttle buses from the train stations in Westchester and the North Bronx--that's a non-starter for Westchester County.

    The Steelers have been working on plans. No roof, fake grass or anything. Getting a new bigger scoreboard but later will get a huge one later. Changed are for amenities mostly. I am sure the look and feel might be changing to. But they said the open view will be protected. Number are in the 200 to 300 range. The sticking point has to do with the team/government budget split. They said 100% they said they can not see anytime a new field will be needed.

    The next Super Bowl thar the Superdome hosts I’m willing to bet will be it’s last (at least for a very long time)
    While for so long it and Miami were always the two most common places to host the Super Bowl, with the stadium’s LA and Vegas now have, I’m pretty sure they’re gonna be taking that title from them. Miami will probably still host it from time to time, just not quite as often, but New Orleans will probably be only once in a blue moon (if ever)

    The height resctiction for Levi's isn't a simple zoning law. They built the thing in the flight path for the airport San Jose, and their are FAA height restrictions due to the airport. Not the best planning for this joke of a stadium. On the plus side, the team has paid for the election of just about every elected offical in Santa Clara so they can do whatever they want otherwise.
