Great job Darama!!! I like the colors in this a lot and the dry brushing gave it a nice soft/realistic look....... If your going to make a latex mold of this, why do you paint it? A keeper!!!! - carveit
Cheers Carve! I haven't decided whether or not to make a latex mold of this particular leaf. I wanted to see what this leaf would look like with a paint job before deciding to mold it. I probably won't mold this leaf, as there are a couple of rough areas on the leaf, which you may see towards the front end of the leaf, where parts of the leaf overlap in a strange way - this was due to me not preparing my sand support when making the model cast. :o
Good idea....... I should have done that on a couple before I molded them..... They had defects I did not really see until after I painted them. You are always ahead of the curve....
I think the items we're not quite happy with, are good to experiment with. sometimes a paint job can make it look better, but sometimes not, as we know. :) Anyway, your painting skills should be able to turn anything into gold! :)
Great job on the leaf.
Thank you Helen! I hope all is well over there in Georgia! :)
BEAUTIFUL!!! I have got to try that myself!!
Thank you Shirley! Go for it! :)
