    Do the Place mock ups let you find the shirt type like Gildan or Bella etc

    I was full of hope when I started the video.
    But I end up realizing that the possibilities for mugs is short, to say the least.
    Too bad... I'm still working on it.
    For the moment my best option is grabbing the blank mockup from Gelato (they are my POD partner) because the design is well treated and I use that in “scenes“ that I get from photostocks. I do that with Kittl... I'm done with Canva !
    Great idea to make the background so very fuzzy that shading is no more a concern but more an atmosphere element.
    But I think a good routined mockup making process is a must to avoid spending too much time there.
    Thanks for the subject and the sources.

    One type of mockups that seem to be really hard to find are masculine mockups. 99% of them are very feminine. The ones that ARE masculine feature men wearing the shirts. I have yet to find masculine mockups that are product only. If anyone knows a good resource for this, please let me and anyone else who might be looking for this.

      Yeah, I am just starting and I am trying to figure out what to do for a generic brand Tshirt, used for sublimation, in Printify. These are all branded mock-ups, I need a brand less mock up. No one talks about that either.

    Thanks for the tipps! An issue that I have with placeit is finding mockups that accurately depict the products that I'm selling. Some of them have brand tags (e.g. Bella Canvas), but not so many (at least I was not able to find more). How do you deal with this?

    • @mistitrimble3334
      @mistitrimble3334 Год назад +1

      Drives me crazy! Wasted so much time trying to figure out if a product can pass as one that is not branded in PlaceIt. Just yesterday I tried out the shaped pet mats....they are upside down! I need to message them/make a request.

    • @PODinsights
      @PODinsights  Год назад +4

      Agree this can be an issue with Placeit. I personally just look for mockups that don't have any super obvious differences from the product that I sell. So for t-shirts, if I'm selling BellaCanvas 3001, I ignore the t-shirt mockups that don't look anything like that shirt but I'm not exclusively using ones that are confirmed BC300 and I've been able to still use a good selection of them. It doesn't have to be 100% perfect because at the end of the day, basic unisex t-shirts have a lot in common (unless you're doing something like comfort colors which have a more distinctive look). Honestly customers probably wouldn't know the difference between Gildan and BellaCanvas or Hanes, etc. by looking at a relatively small image. As long as it's not clearly misrepresenting the fit or features, that's what matters most.

    Hi, thank you for this video, I wonder how the people that sell those mockups on etsy design them, because those mockups look like pinterest, very cool! Anyone know how they design them or if are there an specific page?

    Thank you!🤩is there a background remover in Placeit?

    • @PODinsights
      @PODinsights  Год назад +2

      Right now there is not a background remover tool in Placeit - they do have a basic design creator in addition to the image cropping tool, but I couldn't find a background remover. They've been adding more image editing features over the last year, so that could be something they introduce in the future. Great question!

    What if your design is already in a CMYK color space? Do you still need to lower the opacity or would that be too dull?

  • @Laflaqua-hg5yx

    Hey! Love your content! Question: how do you manage to finance huge orders at first when you don't have much cashflow... Savings? Credit cards? No one talks about that here on RUclips. As a freelancer and now Etsy seller who doesn't have a regular salary from an employer it seems that no bank wants to approve me for a credit card. For business credit cards you need to make at least 75K or so, which I am far away from. Appreciate your thoughts.

    What’s your thoughts on Kittl AI Backgrounds?

    • @PODinsights
      @PODinsights  Год назад +3

      Hi! I would use it if they make some enhancements to the tool and the AI itself gets a little more accurate. I've tried it for a couple of mockups for mugs and t-shirts, but I had to mess around with it for way longer than it would have taken me to just make them my usual way. It did a decent job with a mug, but still the prompt I entered was almost completely ignored. I entered "product on a kitchen counter with kitchen scene in the background" as a prompt, and it gave me an image of the mug on a marble countertop with absolutely nothing in the background - just a grey background (just one example). If it becomes more accurate on the first attempt, I would consider using it especially for products where it's hard to find a good mockup for.

    What is the Maximum size for Etsy Product Images?

      I have not seen a maximum size published for your listing images, but I believe Etsy recommends keeping individual file size to less than 1mb each.

    It's easier to convert it cmyk then export it for web

    • @PODinsights
      @PODinsights  Год назад

      In canva, I don't know of a way to convert just the design image to CMYK - as far as I know, the only export option with CMYK as an option is PDF in canva. Turning down the opacity slightly before exporting is very quick - unless you know of a way to do this that only applies to the design image in Canva. You wouldn't want to actually export your design PNG/SVG in CMYK because all the major POD platforms suggest you use sRGB for your print files.

    • @mohamedsabryyyy
      @mohamedsabryyyy Год назад

      @@PODinsights I was talking about the in Photoshop you will find it in menu
      Image > Mode > CMYK

    • @PODinsights
      @PODinsights  Год назад +2

      @@mohamedsabryyyy In Photoshop, yes. I was using Canva in the video though. You can definitely change color space easily in Photoshop and other software if you'd prefer to do that.
