The Jordan flagship from XX8 to the 33rd are literally designed for high flyers. Propelling bounce, protective boot like support, and ample landing cushion will make you feel safe to go all out in your jumps.

I can't dunk without good traction. If I feel even a tiny amount of slippage, I subconsciously put less force into my jump.
Similarly, I need lockdown so I'm not sliding around in my shoes but most shoes that fit right are fine.
Support is also quite important for reducing risk of ankle injury. You can live without it if you have strong ankles but better safe than sorry.
Impact protection is important long term to reduce knee stress but doesn't stop me dunking short term.
I actually haven't found a perfect shoe yet but I do quite well with the KD 9 elite

Facts bro when I dunk I use a lot of speed so I def need lockdown that’s why kyries are my fav if I got slippage i be missing dunks and my vert over 40 inches
Being able to dunk was a dream.
I’m on the short side (1m68).
I remember in high school, I could jump “high” even on 1 leg. I could block center who where taller than me... but I’ve never been able to dunk...(sigh)
At 16 I broke my left tibia plateau and thought I could never play basketball again.
I had a fracture reduction, 6 months of rehab and boom, I could play again! I even use to be able to grab the rim when I was in my mid 20’s...
Now I’m almost 40. Still short, and can’t even grab the rim anymore...!😩

I’ve been having knee problems for a while but haven’t known what to do I used to be able to grab rim but I can only sometimes touch it now and I’m 6’1, will definitely check him out thanks bro🙏🏽

What do you recommend for someone 25lbs overweight and can barely run a 30min 5k, who wants to take up full court basketball and possibly dunking in future. I don't want to drive 20minutes to a gym, if I can only workout 30min before being drenched in sweat and super sore, looking like a fool lol. Thoughts? Should I just lose weight by jogging first, and lose the weight? or? Play basketball at home first without losing the weight? Is losing the weight even important?

I was going through intense knee pain, I just started dunking been training for months, didn’t know all that jumping would hurt my knees and ankles especially since I’m playing on concrete, I’ve been playing in my old beat up Jordan’s , all this info about Cushioning is about to change the game for me 🫶🏽💪🏾

I live with shin splints, any coach for that? I take time Off and get rid of them, I stretch and foam roll and all that and as soon as I start back hooping I get them again and it sucks. I’m a hyper athletic 5”9 and can jump out of the gym for about half a game and then I get a calf pump and it’s downhill from there.

Full length zoom isn't as rigid and when you're jumping hard it feels like you're sinking into boost in my experience

I'm 18 and just 5'5". But my knees are starting to ache. Maybe because I became overweight but remained athletic.
