This is what I wish old rock bands would've done back then - more instrumentals to just listen and relax to. Great stuff.
How you been?
Totally!
Sure but really there is no shortage of incredible "instrumental" music. Especially if you think this is good (which I do not).
@@erickborling1302 Can you share some which you think are "good"?
@@yol_n Pink Floyd's "echoes" has a small lyrical section but other than that its goated instrumental music.
Its scary how RUclips is starting to know us a little tooo well. I can't complain, sleep with one eye open though. Cheers
lol right
one minute im listening to goldfinger superman and then this comes on my cue......maybe it was remembering when i watched the mushroom documentary recently....
And who are you?
It's not scary at all. RUclips doesn't know you, it knows your type. You're not unique...like at all. There's a solid ten thousand of you, AT LEAST, out there following the same browsing patterns. It simply identified your type and threw the same crap at you it threw at that other army of people.
***** I was listening to psychedelic African music. I see what you are saying but, Google has a database of our info. These personal ads/suggestions are gonna get to the point where its all about you down to the t.
Well done, RUclips algorithm. The cover art, the funk, the bass...this is absolutely my jam.
I wish my parents taught me how to fart properly I keep shitting my self
@@Nobel-Galante bruh wtf same
Tyrell Black is the man on lead guitar. Everyone should know this man's name.... What a talent...
I can definitely see this playing in the lobby and elevators at Cthulhu's headquarters.
I like this comment cause it is accurate.
loooooool
this elevator only goes doooooooown
@@seanschroeder7278 Lots of ancient evil crustaceans to look at though through the glass
What a great thought. Now we need fake commercials that promote cthulu hq and a radio station of "only this shit" . would be cool man
tlhis is the best contemporary psychedelic music that i have heard in quite a while, its not sludgey or grungey, or influenced by modern metal or hip hop, just people playing groovy psychedelic music, fucking right on!!
No shit eh'? I LOVE this stuff!!!!
I've really taken to this band, and re-stoned recently.
WORD!
yetm why call it psychedelic ( ok, i haven t listen it allthru yet . i am at the first tune... but SO surprised that it makes me commenr r. away.. ! so far, it can be called fusion, or blues funk
check naxatras out bro
This is so nice. I only discovered it because it appeared on my front page on youtube. Never heard of them before.
same! just started and i already like what i hear. kinda a mix of tribe and papadosio or something. idk but i dig it!
same. How does stuff like this just start showing up on people's front pages without ever having listened to anything similar?
Same.
They just knew we'd be into sh*t like this! Gotta be paranoid these days, man. I just thought about moving forward with my music taste this morning... and there goes RUclips doing it for me. Yaay!
Štěpánka Židová I wouldn't be too excited about the way youtube algorithms are tracking our clicks.
And I think this music is awful. I don't understand how anyone could enjoy endless guitar noodling. This is like listening to some stoned high school kids trying to figure out their instruments.
I'm being sarcastic, bro.
the music sounds good to me, tho
I love it when you get recommend a band you've never heard of and it turns out to be pretty good :)
This stuff is sooo well mixed! Good production job.
+1 here! I love this class of discoveries!
I got recommended this too and the cover art/name looked tight so I clicked.
This is why I'm here too :D
+1 here :) unexpected
stupid fkn maroon 5 why they even exist
Probably the best psychedelic band/music that I've heard in a few DECADES. Different than anything else out there. Can't WAIT to drop out with this......
This reminded me how much I like music. Life happens and sometimes you forget...
Nice and relaxing jams, good grooves...
Well said, bro!
Definitely.
It is like finding Causa Sui and Papir all over again!
Like the first light of dawn, this music opens your eyes to new promises and to all the wonders of nature. Evocative of powers beyond observation, these pieces pull the strings of the heart, attract nostalgia and awaken the loves, the skinned lives and torpor of the sleeping watchmen !
That's a hell of a review.
Wow! Images abound..
I am a sixty seven years " young " who really enjoyed. It took me back to the three piece band and the long solos that we miss from today's studio jam bands.
The solo " obligatory " Blues chords were very creative, but the tracks before this one are unique !!!
PLEASE, keep doing it and let me know if you ever venture to Colorado.

Sometimes 'words' get in the way-- so I'll express only these Two: "Thank You ❤"
I fucking love HP Lovecraft and I fucking love this
Hey me to favourite horror artist if I can wish something it is him come back to life in some way. (I think what science discovered since his death would inspire him for more fantastic storys :) )
There is a band called Fields of The Nephilim that used to mention Lovecraftian mythos in their lyrics. Not for everyone though... more on the gothic side of things, mixed with Pink Floydian atmospheres (they shared the same producer). That said, I would recommend their "The Watchman" (Kthulhu) ;)
Lovecraft inspired much more than he could ever be inspired to, even if he came back to live for a thouhsand years. ahhh, hyperbole
Yes but I still miss his stuff no other writer can do things like him.
admittedly, he plays a mean fugue on the keyboard of ones mind
Came to the art stayed for the music. Great job guys!
I probably need to go to bed, it's getting late.
>1 hour 11 minutes later.
Fuck, what just happened?
You done got fucked by an octopus baby lol nah I’ve been siting through whole albums instead of just one song and I’m like I spent all day listening to music and I only liked 88 songs there should be at least a couple thousand right now
So RUclips is gettin' better in recommend music and videos... thx
OMG so mellow to listen to when I'm staring into space as the smoke is thick in the air.......Smooth
FKN awesome! Found this in my recommendations nestled next to a bunch of McKenna talks lol
I found this listening to medieval party music!
Haha nice!
It just appeared in my recommended tab, as if from another dimension.

hahaha me too exactly the same!
Well done guys! It is like an infinite jam session full of blues- boogie- stoner- and experimental elements, one of the best instrumental albums I have ever listened to!
You got check out HAZY SEA if you like this...I think HAZY SEA are the best

i dont know why but ive been on a kick of music like this lately. first i found naxatras and now im here. Everyone thinks i finally went full crazy but i dont care. its nice to hear modern bands making good music and actually using instruments. good work guys
youtube suggested a mellow earthless to me. I'm impressed. a good hour indeed!
they are earthless' funky step brother
This is great driving music! i can see myself mountain biking the back hills of the coachella desert like a crazed llama riding into the sunset.
Raul Custodio perfect!!
i normally listen to some really heavy electronic music without melodies.. but this, this is a frickin MASTERPIECE!
Look into 60s 70s ....a lot of underground bands Hawkwind is one....also a crazy good African band....google.
It's somewhat melodical in a way that it stays pretty much on key
Smooth guitar jams laid off sweet drums, and dat groovy bass... This band delivers very sweet jams!

Wow man and I thought rock was dead. For this to come out recently very impressive. This band truly rocks
fockin right, desert rock is the shit bro

Wow...contemporary progressive psychedelic jazz rock fusion...love it..
Searching for an octopuses documentary and found this therapy
did you find your octopuses documentary ?
I like this, good free-flowing psychedelic instrumental rock. not preoccupied with being too heavy, like a lot of modern bands
How you doing?
there is something eerie about you guys. you can translate any feeling into music. no other reason for a 48 yr old guy from bangladesh to become addicted to you!!!! rock on!

Oh, Electric Octopus! Our protector during the last magic mushrooms trip I had with my friends, thank you 😌
Never thought I'd be listening to this nice moosik when I smoked that pipeload an hour ago
I've been digin' psychedelic music since 1966
and this is top shelf.
Thank you!
After listening to this album on and off for several days, I've decided to purchase it on their website. The music that Electric Octopus puts out is hella groovy having me enticed, but still moderately atmospheric enough to keep me relaxed and focused. Thank you 666MrDoom for uploading this.
Great Guitar. Simply Amazing!
Let's just say that I'm beyond thrilled to find this fine work in 2023. And there is yet another generation of guitar lovers out there. 2016 delivered with a shoutout to E-Octopus along with another favorite of mine in R. McGarvey.
Just listened to this for the first time: excellent.
One of the best uploads yet, IMO! Tied with Naxatras.
Woops thought this was on Stoned Meadow of Doom.. Regardless - this has been my go to album for the past 3 weeks.
Thanks for suggesting Naxatras!

Benjamin Evans Yes! So good. Both albums are great! Groovy sunshine music
And Somali yatch club
A jazzy blues jam? Time to put another log on the fire and chill out.
if you know what i mean!!!!
What is "meaning" - not what you think.
I mean good herb and jazzy blues go hand in hand do they not? If you know you KNOW!
I love this album. Good driving music I play it when I'm rocking my Harley
been looking for something jazzy but chill and with an electric guitar solo...FOUND IT!
Yes...Spinal Tap finally releases their epic jazz/blues odyssey "Saucy Jack'...oh wait...\m/ love this band \m/
But I didn't hear Lick My Love Pump on this record.
you didn't? well it was there! It's in D Minor, the saddest of all chords!
I don't know how do i get here but i loved it ✌🏻️
not even 2min in and I already like it :)
This is awesome, so glad it popped up on my recommended videos.
that pic would make for a killer blacklight poster/tapestry
I literally clicked on this by accident and I feel like this was meant to be. I am in love.
Excellent music for relaxation, meditation(beginners), etc.
this is the best music I've heard in a long time and I look every day for a special something to excite me.....thank you so much.
best song to trip on...those switchovers are out of this world

small minded people will always assume psychonauts are simply burn-outs. If you ever take the time to examine history's great thinkers and innovators, drug use (not necessarily Abuse) is pretty constant. know yourself and let your mind travel, so you don't say silly things.
This is f*cking great! It's like a one long guitar solo, ... I am so glad for finding this ! :-) and it's getting better as the album goes.
The guitarist really shines when he let's his groove flow thru n thru.
Love this band and the comments. Just discovered them, by chance, and I can't stop listening. Thanks RUclips algorithm, for once you did your job!
Long live the electric guitar.

Google landed me here a few weeks ago. On a bicycle on fire I love this album, this is my nth listen since.
I am grateful to these musicians, I wish I had something witty to say for their benefit.
I am having a lovely, productive day, and this album is making it even better, thank you very much.
Reading some comments ,i also was wondering if this music still exists. ? That's the way I like it.
still loving this 2 years later, goodness this is so freaking good
Listening to this alone I'm my room after a really exhausting day. Finding this really made my day, thanks lads, awesome music!
I've never heard of this before and suddenly it appeared on my home screen and it sounds just amazing.
This music is so relaxing and full emotion, great album!
I just can't get enough of this positive vibe! Thank you!
I listen to it at least once a day.
I only clicked on this because I liked the cover in my recommended and I'm really digging it!
Going great with this slow rainy Monday.
I also clicked on this because i liked the cover. And it's a slow, rainy Monday. Time is a flat circle.

Another slow rainy Monday...
today is also a slow rainy Monday where I live... cheers
Please send some rain my way! The desert life is drying me out.
This has quickly become my new favorite album. Great Vibes, Sonic Impressions, Free flowing jams. I love it. Can listen to it nonstop and pretty much am doing that. These guys are supremely talented and genuinely nice guys to boot. Support these Guys!!!
Wouahouh! Incredibly inspired and inspiring band! Sometimes RUclips suggestions work I guess.
When you just look down all the suggested videos and you know they're all going to be good.
I swear this bit of RUclips is like a secret club of awesomeness.
Hello, I'm from Chile and all I have to say is that your music is pretty good, the taste of jazz and the soft guitar makes me feel it as magic
You're so rigth!,this album is very relaxing.👾They make good vibes music. Im from Argentina,te recomiendo si no lo has escuchado un grupo llamado Restoned!🙋♂️
Hey is it Chilly down there? Sorry had to say that.hehehe
🤟MEE TOO
gold. pure gold
wow. you guys are keeping the jam alive and well to this day. thank you, keep doing what your doing please.
8:47 - Is this called a chord change? Key change? Such a sweet sweet change in feeling.
That's a great question man, wish I could tell you for certain. I don't think they changed keys, I do think they switched to a different chord sequence (the three notes the bass makes) and I'm pretty sure they changed the tempo by slowing down ;) \m/
I think it's the same key changing from minor to major
I don't think it's a key change. More like going back to the root note on the bass. The lowest note in a progression always feels the most "home" and thus deviating from it, then coming back like that, can give this sweet change in feeling. Also, here it's pretty nicely highlighted by the contrast between notes being clustered together, then getting more spaced out, which gives that "slowing down" effect.
@@younggrasshopper3531 I'm pretty sure it's just changing from major to minor
my favorite part is 9:16
I stumbled on this psychedelic rock/jazz album. Amazing

Very relaxing, and yet very far from what you would expect from some kind of relaxation music.

Ah brings back fond memories of you guys playing Dixon Park in Belfast I was 16 and I remember just being blown away by the guitarist that man has music and soul in his veins I was standing there mouth agape I'll probably never have that kind of spiritual reaction to a live show ever again in my life thanks for the music guys
Your one of the reasons I love the Belfast music scene so much it's just got so much soul ❤️
Actually the more I listen to it the more I'm tempted to call it psychedelic, this is exactly what I would call psychedelic.
Acid rainy intense trippy!!!aye aye aye what a trip this was thanks guys!!!!
There's only so much wah I can sit through
The bass in this is to die for
Really glad I discovered this album. Not even my style of music, but this ride really makes me feel good. Cheers, from Canada
