@@momomils2982 Those people are not superior to other people, why would you say that? Those people that do make it up there probably had connections, talents, and just worked super super hard at it. They’re not superior to anyone else
She is. I actually really like her. This is the kind of powerful woman that people should be respecting and looking at as a mentor. In an on the spot interview, she's able to provide answers that don't feel rehearsed, they're clear and concise, and they actually answer the questions asked. Of course there's a small element of politics in the responses, but she's also quite candid. She does say that revenue plays a part in the experience they want to create. But more that their primary goal is to get people coming back. And as someone who has been to a few Apple stores, I actually believe it. The employees in those stores really are personable and approachable.
I don’t see what the problem is with this interview. I think she delivered a fantastic message. Why is it, when Apple listens to people and offers their version of entry level phones that it’s all of a sudden a bad thing? Her points are so valid and I think she really knows what she’s talking about. I have so much respect for Angela after this interview.
She looks, talks and acts good, but don't let her fool you. She has empty eyes. She'll sell your soul to Satan if it will benefit her. In a moment of heart.
David Lim I highly doubt it. She's def very smart and capable, but she's a premium consumer/retail and "lifestyle/trend" specialist. The main problem is that she doesn't have any type of tech background. We all saw what happened the last time Apple had someone with a non-tech resume as CEO (John Scully).
How I wish this was true. I really admire her and it’s sad to see her go, but she would’ve been a phenomenal CEO I also think Jeff Williams (currently COO) would be good too
Steve job and bill gates both didn’t let there kids have tech gadgets. Here they are now saying what does your 6 year old need. We are going down the wrong path.
Marin Angelov That’s really up to the parents. I can tell you “a 40 year old doesn’t need an iPhone at all”. Its just a nice luxurious product to have or to give. iPhone is extremely user friendly and its the most popular mobile game console. Its also the most popular AR platform. And with iMessage and FaceTime, its a great way for parents to connect with their kids no matter how far apart they are from each other. A seven year old doesn’t need anything technology related. And we all know that.
There is a lot of common sense in what she says. It’s about the experience and not buying the latest model. I feel the same. I have an iPhone SE and am really happy with this sturdy model. I enjoy going into an Apple Store for the interaction and also for some of the classes. I’m not one of the sheep who wants the latest phone but I’m quite happy to go in and look at it just to see what it’s all about.
ixnine In her voice I can def hear Lynda. Looks maybe a bit, but not nearly as attractive or curvy. That said, I wouldn't have been shocked if she whipped out a golden lasso and forced the reporter to buy an iPhone X !
3:20 That is how I came to Apple. With an iPod Touch 5th gen. Now I have an iPhone 7, MacBook Pro, Apple Watch 4th gen, iPad 5th gen and AirPods Pro. And that iPod showed me what Apple is.
That looks like a very cool store. Nice view. This store will attract a lot traffic just like the one in 5th Ave in New York. It'll certainly become a "go to" landmark in the Loop in Chicago.
My life was never enriched by going into an Apple store. The employees want to sell me and get me out asap so I never spent much time in there. My newest update to my iPhone software made my phone turn into a turtle, and I’m sure it was in order to force me to upgrade from my 3 year old iPhone 6 which was working perfect before the software update.
Kandi Klover I feel like they stopped the planned obsolescence when the iPhone 6 cpu controversy came out. My five year old iPad mini and 2 1/2 year old iPhone 8 still work great. I know a lot of people that still have iPhone 6s and 6 which is now an almost 6 year old phone and it still works great for them. The 6s is still getting updates while most Android phones stop getting supported in half that time.
Apple has the most clout of all smartphone companies. No one can compete and right now having an android is shamed upon. Apple worked very hard to make this possible and I'm glad it did, their iPhone release is something to always look forward too.

I liked her when she was at Burberry. Sold her soul to Apple and they're all hanging on to their American market share whilst playing catch-up to Android. All innovation is lost after the passing of Steve Jobs.
Here's a good one What's it called when apple employees just... happen to remote access a customer's idevice camera and microphone, when THE CUSTOMERs NOT AWARE? How do you define THAT? I mean obviously it's LEGAL or else apple employees with their buddies wouldn't be doing it RIGHT? I don't like the idea of people randomly spying on my kids though. That SHOULD BE illegal!
Im not sure I agree. Maybe though! I am pretty familiar with iPhone Cases tho. The iPhone 7 cases have a wider camera hole compared to a lot smaller one for iphone 6.
"and If it's 6 or 7 years old, what do they need?"... They need to be outside playing and communicating with their friends in person at a human level instead of exposing them to a ridiculously expensive gadget that's more than likely going to make them introverted and isolated!

The truth is Apple doesn’t want everyone to buy the expensive iPhone X because there aren’t enough units to meet demand. Apple would happily take a thousand dollars from each of their customers if they had enough units.
hindsight it was beta .. and I'm really stoked on the Xs Max now. Best piece of technology I've ever owned. It's insanely fast & intuitive, amazing battery life.
This is really random but I think it’s time for Apple stores to move on from the edgy, artful, architectural design of their tables, seats, and displays at Apple stores. I appreciate the effort that goes in to design but none of the seats are comfortable and frankly, I don’t feel welcome at an Apple store because I don’t “match the look”. Apple stores feel like designer clothing stores more than technology stores. My advice? Make customers feel welcome, make them feel comfortable, and offer lower prices.
This is how Steve Jobs brought dying Apple back to life. He said if we're focusing on products instead of revenue, people are coming to you, not because you're good at marketing. He also said if the investor are looking at profits, Apple will not entertain them, as their value is not the profit. I do really think that this is why those people become successful eventually, whether in making products, games, musics, or digital contents... anything.
I swear to god, the battery from my Iphone 6 went way worse now when the iphone 8/x was released, I've owned lots of apple products and I always seem to notice it during this period of the year. I would not be suprised if they program some stuff in them to make the batteries in previous versions worse when it's time for their yearly release of new iphones to tempt buyers to buy a new one.
What a lie i went to the apple store to buy a iPhone 8 and the sale guy tried to upsell me the XS and kept convincing me to get the XS 🙄I got upset and left and bought the iPhone on eBay
'Enrich lives'... Hmm... Let's see. I spent around £800 on an iPhone 3 years ago. Now it complains that the battery needs changing. I visited and apple store and a 'genius' arrogantly told me I need to change it for around £90. His attitude was - 'surely you will spend that or buy a new iPhone'... Is that what a premium device gets you these days? The 'privilege' of spending even more?!! I am not a fan boy, just need a device I can rely on - I don't even need to upgrade - I have all the functionality I need! I thought spending on this premium phone will assure I will be able to use it reliably for years - a lot more than 3. The latest 'enrichment is, since the upgrade to iOS11, my iphone6 has slowed down considerably. Planned obsolescence is a thing in iOS world! I think is time to be 'enriched' by Android! Enough is enough. This, Angela, comes not long after switching my trusty old macbook pro for a Dell XPS 15. this is because Apple thinks a £2700 machine with old hardware and poor specs is a professional machine. My Dell is £1000 cheaper and has better capabilities all around, a true professional PC. The macbook pro is just a toy now. An expensive, want to be fashionable one... I am afraid Angela is right, owning Apple gear is a now truly a 'fashion', a 'trend'. She sells Apple like Burberry coats. That is why this professional will avoid the apple store. I don't have time for purposeless arrogance - I didn't mind it so much when apple had the best gear, at least they had a reason... And I don't care about fashion - I leave that to the coffee shop posers. I think the apple peak was achieved a few years back and now we are witnessing the beginning of the decline. My apple 'moment' is ending here! I am not 'enriched' anymore, Angela!
Oh I'm inspired...., inspired to just keep my iPhone 7, and take a really hard look at the S8 until Apple makes something worth replacing it with at a price worth paying...
The BS at apple is so thick it's unreal. Apple retail was created to keep you in their stores shopping and buying. Like I stated priorall the techs were forced to stay late and learn the new cell phone leasing plans with the sales people. If you aren't asking your techs to upscale customers coming in for repairs then why are you training techs to know cell phone provider plans. When we have a service bulletin on Macs they don't have the sales associates stay late to learn how to address issues with bad Seagat hard drives. Angela either doesn't know or is a liar. Techs were pushed to upscale new devices to customers in for service appointments. That's just a fact. I was there and told to do it.
Also Angela why at the Bethesda Maryland store when the cell phone service providers started leasing plans why did the genius's and mobile techs have to stay late and get trained of their plans. If we weren't forced to upscale people. I can't stand liars.
I don't like this new apple store there is no more Genius Bar and you need to wait long time sit in a table so sad the Genius Bar is gone the good thing of the Genius Bar was that you wait in line and the person call you
Angela: "we're not selling for you" ... umm there are a lot of dongles that need to be sold because of the lack of connectivity in the new MacBook Pros.
Which is why she said that sales people are not told to upsell. They should listen to the customer's needs and sell the product that fits their needs. She nor Apple does not decide whether a 7 year old needs a cellphone; the buyer/parent does. If the buyer says their child needs to have a phone to reach a caregiver, then maybe the salesperson suggests the iPhone 5. If the buyer then says the child will spend a lot of time watching video and does not want a tiny screen, then they suggest a 6s or 6sPlus. If the buyer then realizes getting a cell phone with a data plan is going to be an additional $40+ per month and says nevermind, then they can suggest a iPod Touch or iPad mini. Needs based selling is nothing new. And she said they want to have something for everybody. Their product line does do that and does it well.
Yes. I am a parent. I have a 10 and a 12 year old. The 12 has my iPhone 5 hand-me-down and as a middle school student with many activities, I think he needs a phone. My 10 yr old will get one when she starts middle school next year. BTW..the video above is about Apple retail sales not parenting.
theres something very stepford wifey about her. i wonder if shes got a heat exhaust on her neck and takes a memory card ? i suppose we'll never know, with it being apple theyll have removed all her ports and glued her shut ;-)
Why are Android fans so triggered by anything related to Apple? It's really fascinating. you only normally see this behavior if someone is threatened by something.
Former Android user here, somehow Android users tend to follow their own path and are extremely closed - minded on trying new things outside the OS. When I started to invest in the Apple Ecosystem, I can tell why they bash Apple users. We really should respect each other's territory rather than bashing and one - uping for the top spot. The short answer, Yea Android fans could be bad. But that's like saying KFC followers are worse than Chick Fil -A followers. Or Honda Fans are the worst than Toyota fans. The truth is, every brand has their own loyal fanbase and each will bash at each other for their downsides. There's a reason a pick and choose world is a thing.
this is 100% fact. I've worked at Apple and we do not upsell anything. #1 goal is to make sure someone gets what they need over what they want.
Nobody needs anything apple.
You wanna take some picture? Get the iPhone 12 Pro Max.... yeah just what you need because the 12 has not a good camera.

A 7 year old doesn't need a cellphone Angela
David Lee you're not a parent aren't you?
RagingTiger A 45 year old doesn’t need a cell phone. Nobody does.
Gio Galvez 45 year old may need one, it all depends on your lifestyle and line of work, some others certainly don't need one
She looks familiar
@mrmobile “stay mobile” by Apple...
The X also has slimmer margins lol
theres something very stepford wifey about her. i wonder if shes got a heat exhaust on her neck and takes a memory card ? i suppose we'll never know, with it being apple theyll have removed all her ports and glued her shut ;-)
Give a 6 year old a iphone 6 wtf😂
