Saurabh is the greatest orator and master of narratives. He keeps hope alive in the one of the dullest fund houses in the country which has managed returns below bank FD rate over a three year period. His skill as master story teller is much better than his skill as CIO. If he had focused on his skill as stock picker, there would have been no need for story telling and narratives. He would prove to be much better academician than a fund manager.
Even his book titled 'coffee can investing' is all exaggeration. If you follow the book there are high chances you won't be able to beat even the indices.

I used to defend Marcellus for their PMS performance couple of years ago,that judging in 1-2 yrs is not fair. But having said that, it’s been around 3-5 years and none of their Funds have even matched benchmark. It’s all underperforming.

Little surprised by the amount of flak Saurabh gets online for the performance of his PMS..its almost as if people built their own portfolios based on his stocks. I have a few of them as well but nothing to break my head on.

Facts are not adding up. If it take numbers that he shared in video -
For ccp: 35 pe with 20 Percent growth is peg= 1.75
For s&p: 25 pe with 15% growth is peg = 1.66
CCP is still costlier than S&P but he said the opposite. Lies on national television continuosly... All the time.

Saurabh has gone global , nicely bringing in longterm FPI, which Indian stock markets needs badly !! Currently the FPIs in India stay for a short-term gain only. Feels safer in US bonds and US stock market only.
