I just put the same Apexi N1 "resonated" cat back exhaust on my 2018 RC F after spending month's listening to virtually every video, drive by, etc.... I went with the resonated vs non-resonated because the total DB (loudness) between the two is a mere 2 DB difference at 4500 RPM's (96 DB = resonated / 98 DB non resonated). I did not want any "drone" or that "raspy" sound. The APEXI comes with a more expensive to build "H - pipe" vs almost every other aftermarket exhaust which uses the "X - pipe" design. There's advantages to both. H pipe will generally out perform a similar X pipe in the low and mid range whereas the X pipe will generally outperform in the top end range. The differences are minor though. We're not usually talking about more then a few HP one way or the other. Where they do differ more significantly is in the "sound". H pipe will generally give you that old school American muscle car sound, lower, and not raspy whereas an X pipe has the ability to give you a much higher pitched sound, some would say "exotic" or V10 / V12 type sound, or "flat plane crank" with a lot more "raspiness".
I absolutely LOVE the sound of the Lexus LFA, Pagani V12, Audi V10, etc.... but in my humble opinion, no Lexus RC F V8 with ANY aftermarket exhaust achieves that beautiful sound. The 15K Novel, with their full system, headers and exhaust, comes the closest, and I wanted to buy it, but the possibility of waiting 12+ month's and laying out almost 15K while waiting for it, was a "no go" for me. So I chose the Apexi N1 catback exhaust because it sounds like a "vette". It's not loud, high pitched, but sounds "mean" and everyone knows "that ain't stock". I have PPE Equal Length Headers coming in 2 weeks, and I'm interested to see how the sound changes, if at all. I've captured video's of my car each time, and will be able to compare the Apexi before and after the PPE Equal Length Headers go on. We'll see.

@yumcooki3z , the header's are where you'll see significant changes in horsepower, torque, volume, and the sound. I originally just installed the full Apexi exhaust and drove it for the entire summer. It sounded very good. It was a bit quieter than I wanted, but I did choose to go with the "resonated version". I installed the PPE EQUAL LENGTH Headers in January myseif, and I'll never forget the huge smile I had on my face upon firing the engine up. It truly woke up the car and in my opinion, it sounds Phenomenal !!!! It exceeded my expectations for sound but I had to wait almost 3 months here in cold Minnesota to see if it felt different. Well it certainly did. I was spinning tires a lot more and just from simple "braaap" on the pedal making turns. I'm telling you, the header's are obviously expensive but you'll see, hear, and feel a significant difference whereas the Apexi exhaust, it'll sound better and look alot better.

Oh one other thing about PPE I wanted the additional ceramic coating on mine but I didn't want them in the only color they have listed, "black". I wanted them to be done in0

OK the APEXi obviously sounds better, but next time try to record them in the same setting to show the true difference.
