3:11 Intro 6:25 Verse 1 12:36 Chorus 16:59 Variation 18:49 Verse 2 20:45 Variation 2 22:17 Bridge 26:37 Solo (rhythm over chorus) 37:12 Single note riff over chorus 40:02 Harmonic fills This is easily the most beautiful of Randy’s songs. I’m sure this and Dee is what he was wanting to do in terms of musical composition. Thank you Carl for the in-depth breakdown. Only Mother Earth and suicide solution (and maybe a rework of Mr Crowley??) left!
I was just a youngster attempting to make music on the guitar with no idea what I was doing. I've been watching your lesson for many hours, and now I can play something that makes sense. I just wanted to express my sincere gratitude for how much you helped me grow as a musician. You are my teacher and I can't thank you enough😊🙏🙏
You are the greatest guitar teacher ever, thank you so much for making all the randy Rhodes tribute songs, the way they were on the tribute album was so beautiful and metal he is the greatest guitarist of all time, except for Dave mustanie
Imagine if randy was alive today wonder what he would be making for the rock and roll and music of today he was taken from us all way too young r.i.p randy
Typically I argue the statement "Imagine if they were alive today, what would they be doing today". Most guitar greats that remained alive didn't change or progress much from their early days. Clapton, Page, EVH,Yngwie and others did not change much in their careers. I feel Randy would have been an exception. Ozzy talked about how Randy always had guitar teacher's he would go to while they were on tour. He was always looking to pick up something new and improve his playing. He looked for the classical and jazz teacher's to help up his game. He was a perfect balance of technique, complexity, melody and feeling.
Awesome guitar lesson video!!!! Kudos to you for transcribing this great classic song! I’ve seen the tablature written out but it’s easier for me to learn from watching your videos!!!! Thanks Carl 👍
Thanks Carl, What a beautiful, well thought out song. You got to love this guy, so talented, so tragic. Peace 🕊️ always Randy Rhoades. What beautiful music he'd be making, if he still was here.
Thank you sir i've been waiting for this! No one has done "Tonight" full lesson by Randy, not saying i want to learn it or not like ive been pitching this comment on other guitar lesson channels i follow...but you can be the first to cover in full!! I'm sure revelation live is in your back pocket too and your just waiting to drop that gem on us
It always happens to me that I find the notes and maybe play the chords right of this kind of songs, but when I look into your videos I discover that what I'm finding is just the cherry in top of a very well-done cake. This is one of those songs that needs attention, love, knowledge and patience in order to make it justice. I'll learn alongside you, just like I'm doing in the academy Carl. Thank you for your cover and tutorial of this amazing song by the great Randy.
You've done it again sir. Just a fkn beautiful song. All from a melody Ozzy hummed to Randy and he put those amazing chords behind it. His chord choices in songs like this, Diary of a Madman, S.A.T.O., etc all made me take my chord theory and scale theory more seriously. Just because I wanted those note choices at my fingertips. This solo is a lesson in making the solo a "song within a song". Something instantly recognizable and you can literally sing along with it. Carl I completely understand your love of Randy. He was my first guitar hero and is still untouched in my opinion. Thank you so much for touching on this epic piece of songwriting.
Thanks Carl!!! another ROCK'N Tune by the TRULEY TALENTED RANDY RHOADS- presented by the equally talented Carl Brown....Come on PEEPS join the Academy!!!
I know these are old, but you have a great ear Carl and good theory.. Thank you for sharing kind sir.. Regards from south central indiana. USA. The heartland. Tim
Damn this man is my childhood. I mean Carl ofc. Back when I was little and was self taught you were my teacher. I remember vividly thinking that you must be in your twenties. I used to think that you are so young. When I look at you now seems like time flies. Thanks for everything Carl. Much love.(also not meaning to call you old now. The way you have aged is so beautiful to me. I still cant get over the fact you looked so young only a few years back.)
Great great lesson and f'ing wonderful song. Randy was a little guy, but a giant of a musician. Made me really play a lot more. Killer lesson sir. You deserve like 100 million subs. Really, you bring great value to us with your lessons sir. ♥️🤘♥️
Perfect! Thanks man I remember before you just had the solo out for us to learn. I've learned a lot of it out of this book I have but learning visually is just so much easier.
Carl....love your channel..!! You mention wanting to eventually cover all of Randy's work with Ozzy....please do! A request would be a song I'm sure hasn't been covered much as it wasn't an official album release (on BOO or DOAM). Please, please....please cover "You Said It All"....please!
Thankyou Carl. Bangin little ditty. If ya get a chance could ya possibly do Tonight at some stage. The greatest number Randy ever did in my humble opinion. You da man. 👍🎸
Thank you for this tutorial, Carl! I am excited for the next tutorials and I do hope that you will cover songs like S.A.T.O, Tonight and Children of the grave (I know it's a Black Sabbath song, but I really like the live version by Randy Rhoads).
Awesome lesson, you've almost completed the blizzard of Oz album, the only two left are Suicide Solution and Revelation Mother Earth, thank you so much for these lessons.

I dont think Carl should do Suicide solution, as much as I love the song. RUclips has turned into a snowflake
@@navneetsinghr4290 I was thinking about that. Hope he’ll be able to pull it off nonetheless. It’s a great one
@@anthonychavez5569 looking at me isn’t actually on the initial release of the album. It is a great one tho
Yes!! Mr. Crowley was over 7 years ago!
i agree with mr crowley re work!

I’ve seen the tablature written out but it’s easier for me to learn from watching your videos!!!! Thanks Carl 👍
Awesome lesson! Thanks!
whats special about this song is its the first song ozzy and Randy wrote together. And ill have to come back to this and learn it.
Thanks Carl, What a beautiful, well thought out song. You got to love this guy, so talented, so tragic. Peace 🕊️ always Randy Rhoades. What beautiful music he'd be making, if he still was here.
Very nice! Thank you!
Heck yeah Man!! Thanks! 🙂👍

You really bring out the genius of Randy's Rhoads
