These next few weeks will see a fleet of 11 DC-3/C-47s operate from the former Battle of Britain airfield of North Weald, UK to take part in air shows and anniversary celebrations, culminating in a flypast of Omaha Beach on 6 June and a relocation to a base in Cherbourg, France, in a tour called ‘D-Day 80 Heroes Remembered’. The tour, which begins on 27 May, is being hosted by the UK warbird operator Aero Legends, which operates two C-47s - ‘Drag Em Oot’ and ‘Pegasus’ in USAAF and RAF colours respectively - among 20 other aircraft - in partnership with the US-based D-Day Squadron which is bringing nine DC-3/C-47s all the way across the Atlantic, at a cost of about $1.5m.
Fantastic views of the DC3 Dakotas . Thanks Captain

They look like Dakota’s. Possibly D-day preparations? My fave planes along with the spitfire and hurricanes
Yes, I have a photo as well, Dakota's seems likely for DDay, Shipmate
