Sonny, thanks for coming and I got to say I will devour your steak any day! You the man!!!
Right back at you Guga!
2 of my favorites you tube channels together! Love this!
This was amazing seriously two of my go to RUclips chefs together this was awesome I loved the fridge bit too
Pause guga
Awesome collab you guys, been subbed to both of you two. 😀
Hope you all enjoyed this collab and steak battle!! Guga is the man
You vs nick digiovanni
Joshua Weissman is also in Austin!
Need more of these same videos. Do chicken next
Your the best...
Pretty epic ngl. You and guga are literally two of the main cooking shows I watch. I hope there will be more!
I laughed every time Guga said to Sonny, “Thanks for inviting me” but they were at Guga’s house. You guys are amazing!
Was a companion plane ticket for Sergeant Gilbert too pricey?
I think it's because they're on Sonny's channel.
He had to stay home to hold down the fort. He’s a sergeant you know! 🫡
Being multi-lingual is awesome. You make everything sound more interesting
I was thinking the same thing
You can't go wrong with either. Sonny's method is the method I choose 8 out of 10 times partly because it's quicker for me to cook indoors. But I have to say, there's nothing like a steak off the grill.
Charcoal grilling is an excuse to crack open a cold one and the wife can't say anything. That extra time is enjoyed
I always prefer pan. But yeah Glitchy is right sometimes it’s nice to just be outside
Except the burnt outside, Guga even ruined the steak with all that cancer on the outside, made me cry.
@@scottyboy6269 cancer? you mean crust? what a stupid comment lol
@@nxsgt Don't really agree with the way this is worded, but there is something magical about having grill priviliges.
Looks like I won that battle 😂
Hi
You always win, Albert
Unanimous win id say
Just subscribed
Your apron should say, "this dude can eat"
This is the crossover we didn't just want, but needed. Too much awesomeness in one video.
I never saw not awesome meat n BBQ lovers xD
It's always a joy 😄😁
seeing albert was a cherry on top
You know Guga is pulling out the big guns when he uses the cured egg yolk lol. Love Guga's recipes
You know you can combine the techniques and have the best of both worlds. I finally tried it and man it’s worth the effort. I reverse seared a thick ribeye on the grill. It was on the cold side for 35 minutes absorbing all the smoke. I pulled it and put my cast iron pan on the hot side and the seared it and basted with butter, garlic, thyme and shallots. It was epic.
RUclips cooking scene is so amazing and way beyond what I think most of us expected. I remember growing up on Emeril Lagasse , Bobby Flay , and Alton Brown. All modern pioneers but I think now having real home chefs and friends cook it makes all the difference and it shows. Great job guys awesome video.
why is guga not using a jappenese wagyu
I love when creators collaborate for the fans. Both of you have taught me some priceless game in the kitchen!
2 of my favorites too! The things they say ACTUALLY work!
The older we get the more we appreciate good food. they both look delicious.
gotten less for me, if I fast for a day even a ham sandwich will taste better than a 5 star restaurant meal.
@@oliver5479 if ur fasting it's different obviously lol
Guga is always so happy and wholesome. Like a hawaiian Santa Claus
😂😂😂😂😂
Brazilian Santa, not sure about the Hawaiian part.
HAHAHAHA he's Brazillian but well let it slide
@@thatdudecancook your a awesome chef !
Hawaii is mark weins home town maybe second hometown
Man, I can’t get enough of these three. Your personalities just compliment each other in a weirdly awesome way.
Best collab I’ve seen in a while!!! Pretty sick trio 😎🤙🏽
It basically comes down to what you're in the mood for.
Guga's steak is a BBQ outside with the fam drinking some beers and enjoying the outdoor.
Sonny's steak is when you get dressed up with the wife and go to a fancy restaurant and have a glass of wine or a cocktail.
Both are amazing in there own ways.
I would somewhat disagree. Guga’s steak could could be served in a fine dining restaurant.
Like you had said the only thing really matters is what is your mood? I generally cook cast iron but I would never complain about a good grilled steak.
@XDGrim Human right? Both would be amazing, it’s just a different taste.
Steakhouses use both methods, grill 1st than add butter and cook in a pan to finish
Their*
@@TonydaGM some steak houses but not all. Texas Roadhouse doesn’t, red lobster doesn’t and Outback Steakhouse doesn’t. I’ve worked at all 3.
I really love how the youtube cooking community really works together to make quality content. I cant wait for more.
OMG How in the world did I miss this for an entire year. Two of my favorite RUclips chefs together. So ABSOFREAKINLUTELY Awesome!
Same here! Lol
Both of my favorite chefs showing their best, this was super fun to watch and I also gained 2 new super good recipes. You guys are my heroes !
Thanks for sharing. Both of you are such an inspiration. I loved the vs challenge but I would love to see your skills combined in a single recipe. From watching and learning from the both of you, I have turned my basic small town Roadhouse into a grill machine of note. Thank you so much for doing what you do best and sharing it with us.
Austin and Miami? Talk about culinary powerhouses! Now let’s go!!!
letsss gooo!!
Sonny, Guga AND ALBERT coming at the end, what an unexpected delight of a collab, literally my 3 favorite chefs on youtube.
The amount of self control he has to not go and kick Guga's fridge😂😂
I expected them to cut to Guga's fridge and it's covered in pillows and padding.
Albert finishing the plates and doing his signature thumbs up, even in this format style of video, was the most satisfying thing Ive seen all month. God tier.
I love that you threatened Guga’s refrigerator. 😂
Was waiting for the step forward back kick.
I'm just imagining the fridge strutting in the kitchen, and Guga squaring up to it saying..... LETS DO IT!
I really enjoy BOTH you guys!! I get quite a bit from both channels. GREAT collaboration.
You really can’t go wrong with either method. If you twist my arm, I’m going with the grill method simply because of the charcoal taste. However, I mostly cook inside and use the pan method with a cast iron skillet and basting. I’ve learned so much over the years with these videos! Thanks to both of you!
Wow didn't see you guys have a cook off ....Two of my fav utube chefs 😎🍺🍺
Cheers from 🇬🇧
cheers!!
Two masters of there craft ….They looked Amazing !! 😎🍻🍻🎉
Fun fact: I've been watching your and both of Guga's channels for some years some years, now. I actually learned to sous vide from Guga. Trying to learn from the best, I'm following Maangchi, Seonkyoung Longest (mostly until she turned vegan), Pailin, Scott Rea from the UK, Donal Skehan from Ireland, John Quilter (long time no see), Harpal Singh Sokhi from India, Chef John and a few more.
Gonna take a look at Albert's channel, right now.
Greetings from the far north of Germany!
Damn you sure keep up with the channels!
Do not discount Souped Up Recipes. Spot on Chinese cuisine
@@davedill680 Right now, I'm actually cooking the homemade black bean sauce from "Marion's kitchen"
I sous vide my A5 BMS 12 because of Guga. Absolutely life changing experience
ALBERT, GUGA, SONNY, what a trio LOL. I loved every second of this video and you guys should do more collabs! I had no idea Albert was that funny
Idk who Albert was but I now now! Lolololol
Dude this video is just awesome love seeing all of you just sharing, nice work all of you keep awesome happening! THX!
Love the respect between these 2. No trash talking, just 2 amazing chefs making 2 amazing steaks we all want to try 👏
I attribute my steak game to both of you (Sonny and Guga). Kings of the trade in my opinion. As much as I love the grill, Sonny convinced me of the pan sear a year or two back and I rarely cook my steaks any other way. It's the butter basting, I can't live without it. Thank you both for your amazing content! The world needs more steak, always
you can butter baste a grilled steak
This is the collab that we didn't ask for, but the collab we needed.
I absolutely LOVE my new grill. I received it on time and was undamaged ruclips.net/user/postUgkxCx5fHawkK9OoV-ojFrY8JLnZrFwAmvUt . It was very easy to put together. I did it in less than 2 hours. However, there is one picture wrong in the instructions, but I had read the previous reviews before I bought this and knew what to expect. My last girl was a Charbroil grill and my friend and I did it together and it took us about 3 hours to do that one. I didn't want to write this review before I used it and I have only used it once but it was great. The thermometer worked perfectly, the grill ignited immediately (however, I will warn you in the instructions it does state to turn the knob slowly too high to ignite and you do need to turn it SLOWLY. If you turn it too fast it doesn't ignite). I will say the Cuisinart grill is a better made grill than my Char Broil was. And, my fiance loves the fact that it has a bottle opener on it. You definitely get your money's worth on this purchase. Plus, once you receive your grill, Cuisinart will send you a flier stating they will send you a free gift if you will post a review. Good or bad. They truly want to know how you like your grill. My gift shows I will receive a grill scraper, which I will definitely be able to use. Thank you Cuisinart!!
Sunny’s looks so good, something about a pan seared steak that you can’t beat
the crusttttt
@@ianybanez6884 yass
I liked the crust and color on Sonny's steak. I seems like a familiar taste but cranked up even further in taste and texture. The juices coming from the steak seemed appetizing
Awesome vid both look amazing!
So much wholesomeness and respect for two amazing chefs here. I would definitely love to reproduce the steaks you've made here. Hope to see more of these kinds of content soon!
FINALLY! Been waiting for this collaboration for years, do it again.
Also that fridge scene was hilarious.
I have to admit, Albert caught me off guard 😂😂😂😂😂
It was an absolute pleasure watching you two cook, two great chefs!
Honestly there's no winner! Both are incredible, and I do both ways! Summer nights over charcoal, winter weekends in my cast iron. They're both excellent! I'm loving the collab with you both as well!
Such a great smash up!! Great ambiance of characters here!! Thanks y’all!! This was a massive win win!!
What an awesome collab between two of my favourite steak cookers.
Looking forward to a collab on a single dish where both come together to deliver a steak, meal or whatever mixing both techniques for a unique experience.
Cheers!
Brilliant collab. So many great chefs out there, but here's 2 of the best. Great content boys.
What a wholesome cook off and you guys just happen to be 2 of my 3 subscribed cooking channels, did NOT expect this. I definitely wanna make that compound butter and cure some egg yolks now tho
I'm so glad I ate lunch before I watched this video, otherwise, I might have drooled all over myself! Both steaks looked incredibly delicious, but I like the ease of pan-frying over grilling. I love grilled steak, but I'm too klutzy to do it myself! You two are definitely my favorite online chefs and I can't place either of you above the other! Much love ❤❤❤❤
You guys are phenomenal cooks
So glad to see two of my favorite people doing this glorious collab! Hope to see more!
This was a great episode it seems like you both genuinely learned setting from each other while also having fun. Keep em coming champ! Liked and subscribed for the sneak dent on the fridge.
The best cooking collab duo. You guys both have such great energy and are my 2 favorite youtube chefs.
I think food youtubers are the only category with next to no toxicity in the comments
I laughed and loved this collab so much
I love these colabs!
7:16 the way I was waiting for this after he said he was going to Guga rather than Guga coming to him 😅
In this case what matter more is what type flavors you chose not so much if they are made on pan or grill. Both look great, nice video.
Collabs like these are an amazing way to reach out to more people so more can experience this amazing channel
This is the best collaboration video I’ve seen! Very entertaining boys, cheers!
The winner is Albert😂
That’s right 😂
I’ll never say no to STEAK!
Hands down one of the best cooking videos I’ve seen in a looong time!
I love both you guys! This was the best 😀
A friendship made in steak. ❤
This is a life goal of mine to cook with you guys. Like seriously it would be an ABSOLUTE honor. So amazing.
Nice to see all these collabs
I loved this video. Thanks
Love what they did here, however, they should have just done salt pepper garlic for the seasoning and tested that outcome. The different flavors in the sauces are going to alter the results. I bet both steaks were the bomb though.
This was a battle between both of their steaks
But that wouldn’t be right. The test was to determine which method allows for the tastiest steak, that includes different techniques for flavoring the steaks. You can’t baste a grilled steak. This allows the exploration of two steaks cooked to perfection in their own way
shut up @Jerrad
@@Mike-lu2yl I'd suggest that using slightly different techniques would be fine, but to keep the seasonings relatively similar(yes you can't baste on the grill, but you're winning on the charcoal flavour), and both offerings are forward on the butter component already. If they simplified the seasoning profile, this would've allowed the two to contrast where their respective merits lay. That said, Guga also used a wagyu steak vs what looked to be a prime ribeye. That part is also gonna throw off the judging side of things.
Personally, I think pan steaks are better for regular prep/eating as to me, it'd be easier to control. If you had an amazing cut of beef, I'd want to go grill with minimal seasoning to really taste that meat. Both have their strengths and weaknesses in how they're profiled, and subjective preference will decide which is better for the individual. Pan does make for a more repeatable product though.
@@maqywhaq they both used the same cut of steak didn’t they?
ooof yes!! ive been waiting on this video!!!!🔥🔥🔥🔥👌👌👌
Love the collab between two of my favorite YT chefs!
What a great collab!!! And that quick head butt of his fridge got me lol
The steak crossover we've all been waiting for... That all looked so delicious, I would have done an Albert as well!
I can’t believe you didn’t take Sargent Gilbert with you to Miami, so sad
😢😢😢
Great video, thank you
Truly the definition of Home Field Advantage 🤣 GREAT Video!
Gordon Ramsey needs to Host a New Masterchef but using a cast OF ONLY RUclips CHEFS
Hells kitchen too?
I'll bet my lifesavings on Ethan Chlebowski.
As a YT series that would be pretty interesting
This is an awesome idea
On one hand you'd think it would be great, but most of these food tubers get connections with each other and part of what brings in the view on Masterchef and HK is the occasional drama. These people's drama would be artificial or would fuck with their potential collabs.
SWEET MAN....******BOTH****** of you are Excellent.
I love both methods, I cant wait to tried, cheers guys!
What an awesome collab! You two are great.
Thanks you guys, we could not come up with a clear winner by just watching.
So we’re going to recreate both dishes. Indiana’s 1st
Husband vs Wife cook off,
kids will judge.
(3 teenage boys)
Sorry Sonny I believe the grill will win.
Wife’s a firm believer in the cast Iron skillet.
these dudes know meat better than I know my own
Best battle ever! Really great video.
Great to see your collaboration!
I Gotta say, Those DUDES can cook
Lmao Albert is a genius even when he was judging 😂 he was combining the food
This was wonderful to see - Great respect to two great chefs!
So fun watching 2 passionate guys! Amazing guys!!!
Both look incredible and would be an absolute treat to try.
Guga Crew very unbiased!
"He knows how to cook just for me"
Great to see all these guys together 👏👏
Great video dudes! I loved this one and I’m going to try that gochujang butter using some of my own Korean style peppers I grew last year!
I luv Guga! Great cook off to watch, thanks guys.
The collab of the collabs! 🔥 Amazing vídeo!
Awesome video. Awesome idea to get the two of you together. Two of the best !!!
Love ur energy dude !!
Thank you!
much love to both of you guys and your approaches. i say to eat both kinds when you can!
Love this video!!
That was the best ending ever. Loved it. Great video to both of you. Just awesome.
Lots of fun.... both look great... would be interesting to swap added flavours (butters) but the point is not what is better but endorsing each other's method and seeing how both can get great results.
I love both of these guys and really needed this cook off even though it’s a year old.
These crossovers are pure gold.
Great collab!
yall work really well together!
