  • Coffee Break with Ace Tree and Sherbrooke Tree Service.
    These mature E.regnans were killed during the 2009 "Black Saturday" fire, which burnt out a large sections of Victoria, including previously unburnt old growth forests. A number of the fire killed Mountain Ash trees were removed along the road and picnic area in the Cambarville Historic area.The decision to remove the trees was due to the imminent danger they posed to the general public and local residents. Aside from the risk of the trees falling on people, when the trees block roads they pose a major logistical problem to authorities to clear. With the impending fire season and the increasing occurrence of failure, the highest risk trees were removed.

      August! You're the best! I am writing this at 12:30 at night, East Coast, and I am now needing a fresh, hot, rich coffee! Eucalyptus sawdust in the cup with it would be nice, but certainly not necessary! These Aussies always blow me away cause the grain structure in these behemoths is so sketchy.....

    I always wonder why so many trees are dead and dying when people are close in. Seems to occur when urban growth occurs. The decline of our trees are a serious issue. Sure I love trees. The Video, as any video of taking down a tree should be a black tie event with tears - because it reminds us.

    • @TrueToad
      @TrueToad 7 лет назад +1

      You may have missed the point. Globally two things are occurring, the decline of Trees through deforestation and the growth of human population. Management of trees are a human based phenomena with a belief that humans must manage everything, failing to realize nature has been doing this for millions of years. Too many people = too few trees, simply stated. My country manged the Giant sequoia almost to extinction.
