It's called letting the girls play. I know I wouldn't want to have a ref calling EVERY bad thing that happens in a match. Cause then it would be like 2 hours long.
The Wayzata setter didn't hurt herself, she's in the backrow which she shouldn't have jumped to block the ball. She messed up and played it off like she got hurt to take away the attention off from the violation she did. Minnetonka definitely should have gotten that point regardless.
Reyna Lopez idk, in my opinion as for I have experienced that as well that's why athletes tape up their fingers to avoid situations like these. But as I have stated she was in violation as a backrow players jumping up to defend the ball. Another thing crucial was, as a setter if you've gotten yourself into a situation like her the best option would be to have it examined by the athletic trainer and probably should have been subbed out for a moment to check to see if it wasn't too serious. If you watch the clip she's in the back row coming up to the front to set three offensive players yet she choose to block the hit instead. Her reaction afterwards was quite interesting. In my opinion as a experienced player myself.
She wasn't trying to play offensively. She was clearly trying to save the ball. She didn't try to make an offensive play. If you watch the clip, you can tell by the positioning of her fingers and hand that she didn't try to hit the ball over but pop it back up. She tried to tip the ball back into play for her hitters. If you watch high level volleyball, this is very common. No violation there at all.
Amanda Torres Regardless offense or defense if she's in the back row, she isn't allowed to have her hands up on the net let alone jumping. She's to have at least one foot planted on the court, I've played the sport, and though she was quick for most people, she wasn't too quick for me.
+Jessie Romanov I'm not sure how long ago it's been since you've played, but I currently do and know that the setter is allowed to jump set even if in the back row. The setter isn't allowed to make offensive plays past the ten foot mark as a back row player. As I said before, you can clearly see her trying to one hand set. That's it. I'm not sure what you think you are seeing or think you know, but regarding the set, there was no violation.
at 10:40 ...did that chic winked at the Coach? The school should do some kind of investigation there lmao... there might be some shietz going on between those 2.

Poor setter on the Minnetonka team, running all over court. Can't get a good pass
Minnetonkas librero needs some serious work.
Ikr. It seems that they are using too much energy just to hit the ball.
Are there anymore from the 2013 season?

I disagree. You can obviously tell the ball hit her fingers which can hurt I've experienced that before. My opinion

That Libero is horrible she just hits the floor no contact whatsoever
