I've noticed my scalp is alot more sensitive to tension once I transitioned to locs. I have about 240 braidlocs and I too have fine hair. This is my third set 😩 Your locs look fabulous. Great video 😊
I love this channel and I’m 2 months loc’d and honestly I’m enjoying spending my time doing everything else but my hair.No worries just letting my crown do it’s things. Best decision ever
I have fine hair too and the sprouting out the locs is crazy so I took your advice and started interlocking. 1.5 years loc'd now, and best decision i ever made because a fro with fine hair is not the bizness but with locs my hair is sooo much thicker or atleast give the illusion it is lol. Thanks Strange hues for the motivation and tips!!!!
We have similar hair types (fine, not thick not thin density). I restarted mine partly due to you! I started with coils this time and I’m hoping they flourish as much as yours are x
You a whole vibe sis. Out here flourishing. Looking forward to your styling videos. I made a yr this month on my loc journery and it's the most stress free decision I ever made.I have about 147 locs that I currently interloc.
You locs are beautiful. I’m on my 2nd set, 9 months in, traditional type. Mine were started with 2 strands twists as well. I’ve noticed with this set, I’m a lot less anxious about the length and the microscopic details of having locs. I’m totally fine with each phases of my locs including them being overly frizzy, I trust the process.
I have larger Interlocs as well. I started off with SL’s and combined them. I’m now 4.5 years in. I think I had them combined around my 2.5 year mark and I now have 170 locs.
Your hair “type” is exactly like mine. The kind that is fine and grows away from the loc, and has low density. Locking this hair was the best decision i have ever done. And like you, i use the interlock method, for me its mainly cos my hair breaks easily and twisting it just causes it to break more. One thing i envy about your hair is that it’s soooooo black😍. I have to dye mine cos it’s sort of brown and i just love jet black locs.
I started 3 months along. I have about 80 traditional locs. My hair is real fine and thin. Hoping for some thickness. I’m not in love with them, but I’m committed ands because I can style my hair and rock my hats when I’m going out I’m cool. I decided after resigning from corporate this was a good time to do it. My hubby has been loc’d for 8 years and my sons just hit a year. I’m interlocking and maintaining my own hair. Liked your video.
Your hair is fabulous!👌🏾 congratulations on your 2 1/2 lic journey. My hair is similar to yours. I have enjoyed your videos. Thank you so much for sharing!
your interlocs looking beautiful and long I remember they were short, you hair look great sis. Its sooo long gurl. I am starting my locs again and this time I am keeping them.
Hi! Your locs are gorgeous! Listening to your voice is like listening to a best friend. I just discovered your channel and I'm so glad. I have 197 locs installed October 10 2021 so I'm in the infant baby stage. Trying to trust the process. Thanks for sharing!
Your locs are so pretty and look very healthy. I have been interlocking from day one and I love it. I have 128 locs medium size locs. Cute style you’re rocking, tfs.
I have diy braidlocs and I am 15 months in. My loc count is around 150. I still have my curly ends on almost all my locs except for 3 of them in the more tightly curled/coiled areas of my head. The braid pattern is still visible on many of my locs and I notice that my curl pattern is looser in those areas. So it appears that the braid pattern disappears sooner on the tighter the curl pattern. I interlock every 7 - 8 weeks. I've also noticed that I am experiencing less webbing as my locs progress toward maturity. I absolutely love my locs and wish I had started sooner. I love the freedom from detangling, long wash days and failed styles after hours of effort. I also love that I can now wear my hair down all day without having to moisturize, detangle and twist up at the end of each day just to keep my delicate strands on my head. I hope one day I will get the length and fullness similar to what you now have. Your locs are really beautiful🥰
Congrats hun, your locs look great, I too have fine hair. I'm not re twisting anymore, my locs are mature so the new growth "should" grow into the loc, hoping it will thicken them up a bit.
I was 4 months two strand Locs-super fine hair didn’t like the top scalp-as smal as they were I only had 110 Locs-I did them and they were thin thinner small -I want to start over by the end of year-I need help 😞
I want locs, not sure what kind I should get, all I no is my hair is very fine and I no I’m going to do them, and that’s why I’m doing my research before I do them
When you retie you can also opt for leaving room for at least 1-2 more rotations. It's probably healthier on your scalp in the long run. I don't like the scalpy look right now so I'm opting to not retie all the way down to the scalp.
medium loc gang rise tf up!
I love seeing the fine hair girlies because it’s something I can relate to!
Glad you found me! Fine loc family unite!! 👏🏾❤️
I have interlocks have not counted them yet started with 14 inches of natural it’s been 4 months I’m loving it wish I would have started sooner

I'm 2 months in too! I'm enjoying it and keeping things simple

Girl, your locs looks so good. They definitely has grown so much!
I have larger Interlocs as well. I started off with SL’s and combined them. I’m now 4.5 years in. I think I had them combined around my 2.5 year mark and I now have 170 locs.
How did you combine them
Enjoyed this video ☺️! I have 74 locs, started my interlocking. Almost 4 months in ✨! Thanks for sharing ❤️!

I love this hairstyle! It’s so cute on you!

Mine are fine as well and it’s been a challenge. I am 9 months in but trying to hang on in there ! Love your locs
Thanks for sharing beautiful! When you decide to trim, cut on a slight angle rather cutting straight across to avoid unravelling at the ends🤎
Congrats hun, your locs look great, I too have fine hair. I'm not re twisting anymore, my locs are mature so the new growth "should" grow into the loc, hoping it will thicken them up a bit.
First day with my baby locs
Congratulations 🥳🥳🥳!
Your teeth & your locs look great!😀 I want to start my loc journey.
Thank you!! Start whenever you feel ready and once you find your methodology
I have starter locs... just a few days old so I'm a baby baby 🤣🤣 I have about 183 twists... I an so happy I started!

Your locs are really nice!

I've been wanting locs for awhile now my only concern is my itchy/eczema scalp issues. Hopefully I will beable keep them ima try it and see🤞
Beautiful
❤️❤️❤️

this is awesome !:)
That’s exactly why I don’t know how to braid!
I love the lip color it's beautiful on you. Can you drop the info plllls
I want locs, not sure what kind I should get, all I no is my hair is very fine and I no I’m going to do them, and that’s why I’m doing my research before I do them
If you have very fine hair, I’d recommend interlocs for sure. It’s less tension in the overall maintenance and growth over time.
what roatation do you do when you interlock your hair and what parting style do you have?
I have irregular parting due to be just splitting crescent parts in half. I use 2-3 point depending on how I want my locs to fall.
When you retie do it make your scalp tender?
It happens to my scalp, is it a thing or am I doing something wrong
My scalp is super tender since I've loc'd my hair.
When you retie you can also opt for leaving room for at least 1-2 more rotations. It's probably healthier on your scalp in the long run. I don't like the scalpy look right now so I'm opting to not retie all the way down to the scalp.
3 months loc’d I started by myself no parts
