Great that you had the chance to visit us and welcome back 🙂 By the way, foraging and eating mushrooms that you don't know, is like playing russian roulette 🤢 You need to know exactly what you're doing
Thanks for visiting. 😊 We are proud of our nature! There are daycare groups which spend over 90% of their time outdoors. When in school, kids are taken to local forests regularly.
👩🏻🌾🏞️🌅🇫🇮🌲 Hello there! Thank you for a very nice video! Being from Colorado, the Finnish nature must have felt somewhat familiar to you, but without the mountains, of course. And your pine trees are of another species, much sturdier and stronger-looking than ours. What I appreciated and admired the most about your vlog, however, was how well, smoothly and without any fill-in words you talked about your visit! The pictures were also very well chosen, the pace, angles and subjects that you chose to include. Clear, no fuss, not too fast, nor too slow - but just right! A real pleasure to watch! Yes, Finland is still very much a hidden gem in comparison with the other Nordic countries, not to mention most of the other European states. Modern, high-tech, unspoiled nature, extensive all mens' right to roam (like in Sweden etc.), four seasons, educated people, no slums, and so on. Hope you'll come back some time to experience a genuine time at a summer cottage on an island in the Finnish archipelago or by an inland lake at Midsummer time.
@@Gittas-tube Thank you🙏🏼 I truly appreciate you sharing this feedback. I try my best to communicate my reflections as clearly as possible in these videos 🙂 It’s all in hope of perhaps inspiring others to consider new perspectives or novel ways of thinking. I had a delightful visit to Finland and hope to return sooner than later🙌🏻
Well, I would say we value small things. Finding happiness in what you've got rather than be unhappy for what you don't have is the key factor in Finnish mindset. I'm Finnish and very well believe we are the happiest.
@@joona2000 I'm happy to find a happy Finn. I spent some time in your country back in 2003 (mostly Helsinki, Turku, & Aland). Lovely place, but I do understand Ismo's perspective. My wife and I really appreciated Jokaisenoikeudet.
Finnish forests are excellent for hiking and just walking around de-stressing. They are mostly maintained forests, not natural so the density of trees is optimal with low undergrowth. And since especially those that are near cities are used a lot, there are plenty of trails that lead somewhere. They are fairly easy to navigate, also with water being all around you get good land marks. Sooner or later you will encounter some body of water or a stream.
don't assume most mushrooms are "fine," as many are not - trust a guidebook did you know that in France you can bring your foraged mushrooms to a pharmacy, and they will tell you which ones are poisonous? a great service

@@mantelikukkapenkki2368 Thank you! and yes definitely - best to save foraging for when I can do it with someone who’s experienced haha

Wow, incredible that those children are able to connect to nature extensively from such a young age!
Nice video! Hope you enjoyed your stay here :)
@@llssneN Thank you so much! 🙏🏼 It was delightful. I only have positive things to say about Finland and Helsinki :-)
It makes happy that you enjoyed your visit to Hell sinking, Funland. Have a good one, bro

It's probably just as well you didn't collect those Fly Agaric Mushrooms! :D
When I saw the thumbnail, I wondered why Finnish celebrity Aku Hirviniemi is making youtube videos.
Ha I can see the resemblance 😂
Or one of the real estate brothers 😅
